When the game starts go and get the Zombrex from the pharmacy, rescue the pharmacist and then take her to the safe room. Then go to the Yucatan Casino, kill Ted and feed Snowflake 3 steaks to lure her back to the safe room. Give Katie the Zombrex. Then grab Lashonda and Gordon from the dark bean/ladies clothing store. Go out and get Chad and Doris in the Platinum Strip. Then go to the Palisades and grab Kenneth and Jack. Exit through the Yucatan Casino and grab Lenny. (He's behind the door on the left as you come into the casino from the mall.) Then escort everyone back to safe room vent and make them wait there (lt + y) Then go back upstairs and grab Esther from the toy store. As soon as she joins you, you'll get the achievement. If you need help after that let me know as I'm always down to help people with stuff like that. |

Almost perfect timing for Chavo. |
After several deaths I finally figured out how to beat Chef Antoine. Man he was a bitch.

Got 25 achievements now, I don't think I'm gonna try get all of them (70,000 zombie slayings!?) but I'll have a crack at the ones that are fun. |

Yeah, I totally jumped up when that happened, like I did when SPOILER: show |
Shit my pants when Slappy did that, and totally shocked about the second spoiler. Have failed in my bid to keep away from this game, just cant put it down.
|
OMFG, just combined the chainsaw with the bike unlocked after defeating Leon; sooooo much fun.
I got the 'Wrong kind of chopper' achievement (for killing 1000 zombies on a bike) within minutes. |
Slicecycles are pretty BAMF.
|
Quick question since I don't have or played the game.
Are there yellow rubber duckies in the game and can they be duct taped to a bazooka or rocket launcher? |

Not sure if this would go here or if it's worth making an "Off the Record" thread. |
DLC costumes revealed by Capcom for the "Off the Record" DLC edition with only The Warrior costume being tied to pre-ordering the content at Gamestop.
No confirmation of pricing for the pack in the US but if Capcom goes by the pricing in Japan, then around 160 MS points each ($2). http://i.screwattack.com/content/ima...1314380989.jpg http://screwattack.com/blogs/ScrewAt...ous-to-awesome |
That cyborg Frank West looks cool.
|
So...whats the point in this?

The point is to play the game with a different(ish) story and to play DR2 with mechanics and gameplay people liked in DR1 but improved. Maybe new areas, I don't know, I never played DR2 other than the Case Zero XBLA game.
Plus it looks more comedic, which I like. |
I think also people moaned how they missed Frank, but I liked Chuck.
|
I like the idea of challenge gameplay, but essentially this is something you can already do on the original by ignoring the story.
|
Thought it better to bump an old thread than create a whole new one. So, I finally have DR2. It's not OTR but, still.
Was enjoying it but I have just screwed myself over. You know the day is broken into chapters. Well, I was doing one chapter and saw time was running low so I went ahead to the place I had to be thinking the limit was for me to get to my destination. I then find out that time was for the entire chapter and not just the current objective. I've saved in such a way that I cannot possibly finish the chapter in time and have to restart the story! <iframe width="640" height="360" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/4bHXMogzEm0?feature=player_detailpage" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> Please tell me that, if I do restart the story, I wont lose the progress I had carried over from Case:Zero. |
Just carry on your current game untill the three days or whatever it is are up, it doesn't take too long. Not only will you carry on leveling up but you then when you restart you keep your level.
Haven't played this for some time, might have to dust it off again and get back into it, haven't reached level 50 and still need to do a number of achievements for this. |
Hate the boss fights. The boss characters are very cool but the fights themselves, I absolutely hate.
Do I basically club a boss once and then run in circles for 30 seconds, club him again and run off again etc? I can't exactly wail on him because they don't react to being hit in the way other enemies do. They still go through the animation of swinging a weapon at you. |
Which boss are you having trouble with?
I always took with me two lots of boxing glove/knife combo and sledgehammer/fire axe combo (I completly forget the name of these) but with some food you can normally wail on the bosses a number of times, dealing a fair amount of damage before you retreat and regain yourself. |
Guy with the dreads in the toilet and the chef who I swear is voiced by the guy that voices Bender.
When I try to smash a boss he tends not to react and just starts hitting me as if I was doing nothing to him. Also, I entered the chef battle with full health and I swear he hit me with one plate and I went down to one square of health. I made it a point to go into that fight with full health. I use the axe/sledgehammer combo. The only boss I've managed to kill is the guy in the dungarees in the casino. Being vague incase I spoil something for someone. I think everything is great about the game. It's just the bosses and the whole "you saved at a time you shouldn't have and now you're screwed" situations that bring it down for me. |
Oh yeah, that dreads guy is pretty hard, I didn't deal with him till much later on after I'd level up abit, I think with him it is just running around untill he tires himself out and then you wail on him.
The chef guy really annoyed the hell out of me, I went after him later in the game, because nearer the begining he's too strong to beat. I found shotguns worked pretty well against him. |
I'd wait but they are timed. If they were there the entire game, I'd level up. I'm only on day 2 and they show up and I'm level 9.
