The Rock was luckily so talented that he had the opportunity to transcend beyond entertaining people in the wrestling ring and go on to do movies. whether you like his movies or not, you should respect the fact that he chose to move on to another profession that will better ensure his livelihood and the welfare of his family. yes, he often shies away from his WWE history, but that's the nature of hollywood where someone's public perception is everything.

AH Go fuck yourself with this rubbish!! the man is third generation and was born into the industry and he loved it. i doubt he trained for so many years so he could one day play a fucking tooth fairy in a shit movie. Mick Foley said in his book that he believed Vince should release Dwayne in early 97 because he sucked so hard and got x-pac heat. You think if dwayne was released he'd be where he is now? Vince believed in the rock and vince made him a star, he got over in summer 97 and stayed around a whopping fucking 5 years before he pissed off to hollywood. the man is a money grabbing prick and owes everything he has to vince and the wwe.
Im not hating on the guy cos As the rock on the mic he was one of a kind and i loved him. even more so as a heel, ill never forget that time he entered the building, threw money on the ground for a random fan to pick up and as he bent over, rock nudged him into a door and walked off laughing, legen wait for it. . .
dary
but he could have stayed longer and i believe he did sell out. and i believe i know why, check out his reaction to being booed vs hogan, he hated it, he reacted badly (in MSG?) when fans cheered lesnar and his recorded message at the best of raw show was booed heavily. i think Rock just thought 'if ye hate me so much, fine ill fuck off' and he did
