It's much better with the intro.

He just looks ridiculous. Mostly his hair, but still. Hard to take him as a serious bad ass. He somehow comes off as ridiculous looking and bland at the same time.

Cole - WWE Universe, we want to talk to right now about a very serious issue that happened just last night. I made love to Tazz's mother. Twice. |
lol Tazz's expression makes that.

Sheamus is growing on me, but I don't see too much of him. RAW is not a show I really get into. When he eventually ends up on SmackDown! or working a great PPV match somewhere, I will become more of a vocal singer of his praises.
I do like how he has constructed himself. It was a shocker him winning the WWE Title last year, although somewhat unneccessary, and arguably would not have been as good as Jack Swagger winning the belt -- especially considering the push that Swagger is now getting. But Triple H has done a huge favour for the guy by letting him get to be the one who "shelves" him. Not only that, but Sheamus has been allowed to target Triple H quite effectively in promos. Plus his Pump Kick has been put over as a lethal maneuver, and he's also got The Irish Curse (Urange Backbreaker), which I do think has been moved back to just a regular maneuver, and the "Pale Justice" as I heard Michael Cole call it recently (ew -- it was the Razor's Edge/Celtic Cross). I enjoy Sheamus' promos, too. I think he's been learning some from William Regal, too. His "fella" reminds me so much of Regal's "sunshine," and that's no bad thing, fella. Sheamus is my pick to be the next WWE Champion, probably taking it from Cena at Fatal Four Way without pinning "Superman." That way Sheamus and Cena can continue the feud they never properly resolved, leading to a match at Money in the Bank, and possibly Summerslam -- where I can see Triple H returning to cost Sheamus the WWE Title. Triple Threat between Cena, Sheamus & Triple H at Night of Champions, followed by a Hell in a Cell between Triple H and Sheamus at the PPV of the same name. It won't go down exactly like that, but it's a rough template they could use. |
They won't, though, Noid. They never give the fans what they truely want, a match between E&C on Smackdown for example.
Bu', fella, oi 'ave ter bay de won ter tell yew. Oim de trew dubly-dubly-ee champion. Oi wus rabbed in de 'limination chambur. Oil soon take back wuts trewly moine, and dere's nuthin yew cen dew about i', fella. Oi di'nt pu' Chriple Haitch on de shelf fer nuthin. |

And of all the guys on the current roster who are becoming IWC darlings, Sheamus has to be the most realistic of being used somewhat correctly. Though the title run was botched, he's been booked immensly since then. His fued with Triple H, from the first beatdown, to the series of promos, to their Mania and Extreme Rules matches, has done nothing but build Sheamus into a legit monster type heel. He's almost surely in line for another title win. I mean, after Cena's done with Batista, who else is there? Sheamus is still fresh and can be inserted into almost any high profile fued that hasn't been done before. |
