Didn't Big Show lose a Hair match and not try to avoid it? Of course, he was definitely going bald anyway.

Nope, he was "tranquilised" by angle then had his hair cut off to an extent, the match itself wasn't a hair match. As you say though he was balding anyway.

Might have already been said, haven't read the whole thread, but I think in this instance they will end it with a Mask v Mask match.

Nobody put much stock in the Hair v Mask concept that we thought they would run with as it was pretty obvious Punk would lose. There's a lot more intrigue with both masks on the line as the audience wants to see Punk bald/embarrassed and wants to see Rey unmasked for the "first time".

I like it, because it just seems like an old school storyline to me. I don't know, I kinda like the mask. Is it a little goofy looking? Yeah, but Punk's a heel, and I think it works for the storyline.

They should have a Face loose a hair vs hair mask and then hide they head and force this to turn them heel. Like the heel would come out and say, "Now that X is bald he is afraid to show his face to his fans" and the face refuses to do so and the heel pulls the mask off and the face goes berserk and says that he hates his fans because they all laughed at him. Now that would b good TV
