People ranking him a 4? More boring than Orton? Be serious. Guy is an 8 at bare minimum.

Sixx 01-14-2011 07:06 AM

Just because you want to fuck him, does not make him an 8.

Yet, I'll refrain from rating as I haven't seen any of his TNA work.

Boring, doesn't draw. I don't think I've ever seen a steriod user as weak as Kennedy, maybe Edge. I can't recall seeing a Kennedy match and saying, 'man that was good'. Has he ever had a classic match? Don't think so. Also, he is injury prone and basically gets paid to sit on his ass at home.

Can we get off this "doesn't draw" horseshit please? It isn't even applicable in this case; the man was only in a position to draw anything for about five minutes before injuring himself. All of this "ah, yes, well, he doesn't draw, y'see" should only ever be read in this voice:

Kinda feel like this. Glad to hear he won the title though.

I believe Lawler still does (and paints) :shifty:.

treyace 01-16-2011 01:08 AM

9 easily

Damian Rey 01-16-2011 01:54 AM

Basing on his WWE work, 6. He had moments where you really felt he might break through. The moment where he returns the week after the KOTR tourney to confront Regal, and cuts a promo on him. Right there, I was thinking "this his chance to finally get where the company wants him to go".

Then I'm pretty sure he got hurt. He was never around for an extended period of time to get going and really flesh out as a character.

Johnny McNasty 01-17-2011 06:43 AM

When he first debuted in TnA and was feuding with Angle, I'd say he was a 10. I've not seen much of his work lately, but of what I have seen I say he is a solid 7.5.

Fox 01-17-2011 11:44 AM

6.5

Kennedy has the potential to be one of the best ever. He could be the Ric Flair or Gorgeous George of this generation if he had the right direction. His mic skills and charisma are solidly there, but he just needs to learn how to use them to their greatest extent. His in-ring skills leave a lot to be desired, he's a solid worker but he needs to learn how to tell a story in the ring. It's not just about going move for move until a finish, it's about taking the crowd on a ride with you from bell to bell. His best matches, IMO, have been against Shawn Michaels, who is the master of telling a story in the ring. This is why we don't remember many Kennedy matches as "great matches" - he hasn't had any yet. But if he keeps working hard and learning from the veterans and thinking more deeply about who he is portraying himself to be on the mic and in the ring, I think he'll be one of the greats.

Joesgonnakillyou 01-17-2011 03:52 PM

Man, I am out of step with the rest of this forum, Ken Anderson? A fucking 9?! Bizarre.

I think people confuse being loud with charisma.

Rollermacka 08-14-2012 11:07 PM

I remember reading that TNA had nothing for him creatively and his contract comming to an end not too long ago. I just figured TNA threw a bunch more money at him to keep him around. I can't particularly remember anything really note worthy Ken has done since he's returned. He has got alot better in the ring since his WWE days, should he stick with TNA or return to the WWE?

Destor 08-15-2012 02:27 AM

i dunno... 3? he's not really good at anything tbh.

#1-norm-fan 08-15-2012 05:33 AM

He does come off a little awkward in the ring from what I've seen recently. Not spectacular in that aspect. I was a HUGE fan of him in WWE though. He had a presence about him and he was awesome on the mic. The boxing announcer gimmick he had going was fun and it helped him transition from obnoxious heel to babyface so well.

As good as he was as a character in WWE, he could have been the "next big thing" in wrestling. He started off pretty hot in TNA but now he kinda just floats around aimlessly in the packed TNA main event scene. He's become rather bland from what I've seen.

When he was in WWE, I would have probably gone as high as a 9 just based on his mic work and the fact that I think he had a shot at rivaling Cena in popularity. The wellness violation and his apparent haphazard stye put a damper on that. Now... probably a low 6.

Ken Kennedy can only say his name lololol

Solid talker gets a 6 in my book... In ring, a little stale...

Rollermacka 08-16-2012 04:37 PM

So now that he has gotten better in the ring and gotten more expirence, do you think it's time for him to come back to the WWE (pretty much do what Christian did)? He's become more popular but he's become stagnant in TNA. Now it's time for him to go back to the big leauges and see if he can step it up to that next level?

Joesgonnakillyou 08-17-2012 07:51 AM

If anything he should go smaller, like CZW or some other promotiion I'll never watch

GD 08-17-2012 08:07 AM

I haven't really cared for him after his WWE run. But for what I remember he was a solid six. He was okay by the time he was let go.

Mr. Nerfect 08-20-2012 05:24 AM

Anderson's ring work is pretty good -- it's never spectacular, but he does things for reasons and that sort of thing. When he works with a great wrestler, the results are usually pretty great.

Mr. Nerfect 08-20-2012 05:25 AM

I think TNA should have Aces and Eights "take him out." Give Anderson some kayfabe time off and let him rest up his body a bit, get himself into gear mentally and physically, and bring him back with a major refresh down the track. It's not because he sucks or anything. I just don't feel that "energy" from him, at the moment.

I find him to be very bland overall, generic looking, annoying on the mic, and boring in the ring.

Autobahn 08-20-2012 09:44 AM

First thing that came to mind when I thought of Mr. Anderson:

Ehhh kinda like being proud of a kid for getting a crown at Burger King on his birthday.

KyleEmmott 08-21-2012 10:56 AM

4-5, He's very boring to me. Never done anything spectacular or anything that sets himself from the pack. Never liked him, probably never will.
