“If having 40 men in the Royal Rumble match helps sell ppvs, then its a really good idea. 40 sounds good to me. Makes the main event bigger. Watch what I say, the 40 man royal rumble match will be over analyzed by many. Gives 10 more paydays & adds ‘biggest ever’ mkt’ing hook”.

I like the idea but all its really doing is giving 10 more guys a paycheck and adding the title of "Biggest Ever" to the marketing side of things. It will be interesting to see what they do with it.

WWE probably realizes the undercard is going to be bad to make the change this quickly.

WWE is not professional wrestling, it's Sports Entertainment.

The expanded field is also a good excuse to maybe work Kong into the match.

They should have done this sooner but it's obvious the only reason there doing it is to squeeze in the likes of the New and Old Nexus member there's you're +10 right there.
