What are your guy's thoughts on the sincerity of Tony's apology?

i don't mind that tony guy. some silly dickhead goes around pouring water on his head and gets confronted, then grabs tony's head and doesn't let go when tony tells him to. top windup work by tony there.

I really liked the Guida/Pettis fight. Dont really know much about Pettis other than "The Kick" but his defensive ground game was insane.

I cant stand Guida. If I never saw him fight again, I'd be ok with it. He did nothing but lay on Pettis. So what, he took him down a few times. Who cares. Pettis looked way better. So tired of Clay Guida.

I also hate Guida with a passion, and usually any fighter who is a "fan favorite" for the simple fact he would stand and have terrible brawls. I really hate Guida actually, have for like the last 2 years.

As purely a fan, I'd rather watch a terrible brawl than wrestlingsex for 3 rounds.

I don't mind wrestling, as long as they're doing something. Trying to better your position, ground and pound, going for submissions, I'm fine with that. If you're just pinning the guy down because that's all you can do, and you're not even trying to do anything, that's annoying as hell, and the ref should stand them up.

That's only one fight though. Guida consistently either finishes or goes home with fight of the night.

Jake Shields on Jon Fitch are the two most technically sound grapplers in MMA, but everyone bitches about any fight they're in being boring. Can't get it both ways.

pettis is a striker that landed NOTHING on him.... just because he was shifting his hip on bottom, and reversed ONE takedown (which he then got reversed) did not make him look better than guida

Yes you can, because fights can be boring on the feet and on the ground. After one round of a sloppy brawl with no finish in sight it gets old and boring quick. Atleast it takes some semblence of skill to take someone down and keep them there, anyone can go in and just swing for the fences for 15 minutes, not saying that any particular does that, but it happens alot.

If you were referring to what I said about Guida, all he really did was lay on Pettis.

and a lot of the time you get guys swinging for the fences not because thats their style or they are not that good of strikers, but rather many of them are not making a lot of money and dana talks to each fighter before a fight and dangles an average of 60-70K fighting bonus in front of their face before they step in the cage.
