And its a love/hate for the new submission system, I think it makes it more realistic, yet all you do is button mash.

And Brock Lesnar is so ****ing overrated in this damn game. Trying to get your created werstler to be a decent wrestler, and Lesnar dominates every single f'n time. I swear, if I have another match with him in this season, and he starts out with a SD!, and F-5's me 2 minutes into the match, then pins me (my endurance is 8), I will seriously change all of his moves to a woman's slap.

Any likes/dislikes?

The Submission system and playing on the SMACKDOWN level gets annoying when you want to do a grapple move, the CPU and I seem to reverse and break the hold 100 times. Usually I have to do so many clotheslines, kick stomps and elbow drops for them to weaken even the slighest.

It's a good challenge (which I want) against certain wrestlers, mainly Brock in my opinion.

Anybody know what the deal is?

The reason is that the two members of a tag team have to have an SP total of a certain number to challenge for the Tag Titles. Since you were a CAW just starting out, the only person on your roster (of your alignment) with a high enough SP rank to put you at the required number was Brock.

Happened to me, too.

Wasn't even aware of that.

Makes sense tho.

This needs to be talked about :shifty: ;)

the best thing ever in Smackdown is making HHH tap out (or pass out) to Taker Care Of Business

anyone make shane Mcmahon? i searched all over the net for him and couldnt find a site.

The hardest match I have ever had is the Elimination Chamber on Smackdown! difficulty. I figured out the tactic to wait on the outside of the ropes then when someone came out whip them at the cage and just keep throwing them around until they are all red, but when it got down to me and Triple H I climbed through the ropes and went for a punch only to get it reversed and get Pedigreed for Triple H to pick up the win.

The Elimination Chamber is a total bitch on Smackdown mode. Gangbanged hardcore.

I finally got the CEO storyline. Man, was that an annoying bitch of a letdown.

Just looked at the topic, back on page 1 about only having tag matches with a stablemate during the one story line.... I totally agree. They need to somehow combine smackdown! 1 & 2's features into what they have now. SD1 was cool because you could have player 2 as a entered character and you both could play through season mode, and if you were set up as a tag team had the rare off chance of tagging together. I wish Yukes would elaborate a little more on that, I liked the 2-player season feature. I also wish Story mode was a little more random too. Kinda like in SD2. The little cutscenes where out of no where Dean Malenko beats your ass backstage for no reason and you start a feud with him that last a couple months and all comes to an end in a specialty match. In HCTP it's the same story with usually the same people in the same matches. It gets repetative and boring....

I also like KK's idea about the weight class deal. It makes no sense why RVD can't pick up Batista.

Sephiroth 03-15-2004 06:15 AM

So i made The Bashams but which move set should i give Doug and Danny?

The Mackem 04-25-2004 10:43 AM

I was playing at my mates house the other day with one of his CAW, Leon Smith (Lone Wolf/Wolf). My mate's made him in all the SD since 2 or 3.

Anyway, I enjoy playing the game, I might even consider buying it. We were pissing ourselves at the diva manager storyline. First looking at Torrie Wilson's body and then Sable's and then going all the way with Torrie Wilson. She's disappeared now though which I don't understand. Then that bastard Tajiri said something about my car. He took it too far and destroyed my car, then he put me in the boot of his car. I hate Tajiri.

The weirdest thing was winning the US title off Brock Lesnar in the UK.

They should have made a "hit any button" screen for that. Imagine the fun watching yoru buddy scream at the screen as he desperately tries to getto his feet faster than his opponent...

That "hit any button" system is the best thing about HCTP...imagine where they could apply it in future titles. Cage Matches, Last Man Standing Matches...

Some of the size descrepaencies were just freakin' ridiculous.

I think you should still have at least a chance of pulling SOMETHING off. Even if you went to chokeslam someone five times your size, only to discover that he weighs too much for you to lift, you shouldn't always just forfeit the advantage because of it (especially with how easy it is to do the wrong move in SD! controls).

Meanwhile, as far as I've seen, XP are non-transferrable.

again, Tug of War should apply here. Some moves (powerbombs) should be impossible, but one thing about the Big Show, is that he at least tries to attempt to sell moves that are kind of out there for a smaller wrestler to attempt.

CBright7831 04-27-2004 01:28 AM

I can't get anybody to submit.

Am the only one having this problem?

Boondock Saint 04-27-2004 02:00 AM

For me, I really have to beat their ass down to do it. And that was my season with Benoit. So I dunno.
