I guess this girl I know's sister is on Team Canada for gymnastics. I still can't find it in my heart to care about the olympics though.

Nicky Fives 07-30-2012 08:24 PM

Canada's women's beach volleyball team has practiced at my university.....

Savio 08-01-2012 07:07 PM

I want to see these corrupted boxing matches. especially "Magomed Abdulhamidov vs Satoshi Shimizu"

SammyG 08-02-2012 07:19 PM

That was the greatest shooting display I have ever seen

Emperor Smeat 08-02-2012 08:01 PM

Yeah Team USA scored 87 points from the 3-point shot alone and a lot better than the previous game where they sucked badly at 3 point shooting. They haven't played anyone good yet but the next game against Lithuania will be the first real test.

Meanwhile didn't take long but already a big cheating scandal has occurred with Badminton seeing 8 players with their coaches from 3 teams kicked out of the Olympics due to match fixing. Breaks the record for most games fixed and people kicked out ever in an Olympics.

screech 08-02-2012 10:41 PM

Was it announced how the badminton will proceed? I read they were taking about bringing back eliminated teams to finish the round.

Evil Vito 08-04-2012 11:07 AM

Serena absolutely pistol-whipped Sharapova in the gold medal game.

Emperor Smeat 08-04-2012 04:21 PM

Had a feeling Team USA taking way too many 3s the past 2 games would come back to haunt them and it almost did against Lithuania which was their first test. Too much hype after the first 3 games which they basically played nobody of quality.

Phelps manage to extend his medal tally to 22 after getting a gold in the 100m team relay.

Team Sheep 08-04-2012 08:08 PM

Great Britain been on a mad gold rush the past few days. Some great scenes fair play.

It's always a good idea to wait ten years until all the doping scandals have come out before congratulating the real winners of the events.

UK = GDR with shit weather and worse food.

CSL 08-05-2012 01:00 PM

lol awww bless you

Moonax 08-05-2012 05:00 PM

I'm not the one jumping on any bandwagon I can find just because the person who is good at the sport shares the same passport as me, or living my life vicariously through the achievements of someone whose success is down to having the biggest drugs budget.

If you think British (or any other country's) Olympians are clean then you are either i) naive or ii) very stupid.

CSL 08-05-2012 05:07 PM

lol when did I reference anything that you've just mentioned? My post is aimed strictly at you going out of your way to be a grumpy little tart, that's all. Have fun with that :)

That was a shame. Serena was obviously born a male. Was hoping Sharapova would win but Serena has got that gorilla strength!

Evil Vito 08-05-2012 05:43 PM

NBC's coverage has been horrendous for the most part. Shunting most of these track events, 100M included, is just a fat joke.

screech 08-05-2012 05:47 PM

Yeah. We got to see almost every qualifying race in swimming, though! :shifty:

screech 08-05-2012 05:49 PM

I love watching the swimming, but that was unnecessary given what wasn't/could have been shown.

So basically you missed the point of my original post, made a stupid and irrelevant comment and now you're playing the victim? Calling people names? What are you 14?

If your life is given meaning by how fast a steroid filled knuckle-dragger runs/cycles/jumps then good for you.

My original comment stands - UK sport is as dirty as any other country and that history teaches us that it normally takes around 10 years to work out who the real winners were. So you'll have to excuse me while I don't jump on the nearest bandwagon.

The only sporting difference between the GDR and the UK is that the GDR had better food and better weather.

CSL 08-05-2012 07:32 PM

nopeeee, you're misunderstanding me. I'm calling you names like a 14 year old because you're making really really dull posts

Crimson 08-05-2012 07:46 PM

Just started watching some olympics this weekend. Seems they always show swimming stuff or track. And some volleyball where the women's turkish team had some damn hotties alot better than the U.S

Pot kettle?

And yet you keep on reading my posts and replying to them.

I understand you perfectly well. You read a post. Misunderstood it, posted something stupid, got your arse kicked, tried again, got your arse kicked again, and you keep on coming back.

Quick question - are you retarded in someway? Only I'm trying to work out what your excuse might be and the only thing I can think of is that you are actually properly retarded. If you are then just say then it'll save me some time.

Anyway, I'll leave you to bring yourself off over the sight of your junkie of the day. Have fun and remember to pick up the kleenex afterwards.

CSL 08-05-2012 08:14 PM

ahaha "got your arse kicked". Good one.

Krimzon7 08-05-2012 08:18 PM

this entire exchange just makes me LOL.

Crimson 08-05-2012 09:17 PM

Big ♥ to Team GB. Always expect the Us and China to be up there of recent years, never realised how much Russia had dropped off (guess I'm still thinking back to CCCP days) and so happy we're above the Argies, French, Irish and Aussies.

Team Sheep 08-08-2012 09:42 PM

What the fuck has happened to Australian sport.

ClockShot 08-09-2012 05:49 PM

U.S. Women's Soccer got their revenge.

I'm a happy camper.

El Vaquero de Infierno 08-11-2012 05:31 PM

Daley finally won a medal. Poor guy, having all that pressure put upon him by the media/public.

Even though he got a bronze, he seemed genuinely happy to acquire it. Some of the atheletes that have won silver and bronze have seemed rather pissy about obtaining those medals.

PUBLICLY DISAGREES WITH USAIN BOLT'S "LEGENDARY" SELF-ASSESSMENT
http://eu.greekreporter.com/files/Ja...-Olympics.jpeg
BUCKS TRADITION BY REPLACING MENS 4X400 WITH MENS 4X100 AT THE END OF TRACK EVENTS BECAUSE BOLT DOESN'T RUN THE 400.

Nicky Fives 08-13-2012 09:16 PM

If anyone on Earth has the right to be a cocky asshole, it's Usain Bolt.....
