The debut of the Mean Street Posse

KIRA 02-21-2013 06:35 PM

That the WWE will never top their Taker VS HBK promo video.

Savio 02-21-2013 08:28 PM

which?

CSL 02-21-2013 08:39 PM

gotta be the Placebo one, it's "pretty great"

CSL 02-21-2013 08:40 PM

History of the WWE/Lonely Road of Faith one is better tho

Bad News Gertner 02-21-2013 10:45 PM

DDP is a good story all around. Started out as a manager, began wrestling at an older ae and achived a ton. Plus he's a genuinly good guy which is rare in wrestling.

Wrestlemania 24's Superkick though, I'm on board with.

His feud with Savage was fantastic. Great matches with those two. Plus his match at Halloween Havoc is a gem that nobody talks about.

Bad News Gertner 02-21-2013 10:47 PM

Hogan slamming Andre. What a moment, especially as a young fan growing up.

Theo Dious 02-21-2013 10:49 PM

Certainly we can all agree that Hogan slamming Andre was an epic moment with few and any equals.

You bastard.

Bad News Gertner 02-21-2013 10:51 PM

The pulse of the WWE Universe beat you to the punch. No shame in that.

Bad News Gertner 02-21-2013 10:52 PM

Hogan forming the NWO was a revolutionary moment. Went downhill after, but that moment was groundbreaking.

What about DDP? DDP must surely be universally loved?

I was never really taken by him as a wrestler but he sure is a nice fellow, and few others show their love for wrestling like he did while performing.

How about when Big John Stud did it before Hogan?

Bad News Gertner 02-22-2013 12:07 AM

Wasn't on the biggest stage in probably the biggest event of all time.

FourFifty 02-22-2013 12:10 AM

A moment that is as dramatic as it is athletic is was the match between HBK and Shelton on Raw. That finish was awesome. Shelton did a huge springboard, and HBK got him with the superkick.

But if you want someone that more people remember, the birth of Austin 3:16.

Crazy Nick 02-22-2013 02:28 AM

One that comes to my mind is the Owen Hart tragedy, where he fell to his death, truly one of saddest moments in wrestling history.

Savage DDP was probably one of the top feuds wcw came up with in the late 90's. Savage could do it all in the ring and DDP has said Savage showing him how to build a fued and work a match helped his career tremendously.

now someone get me a link where i can buy an old school self hi-five t shirt

Heisenberg 02-22-2013 12:58 PM

Not sure it's the one you want, but this one sends the message home.

NormanSmiley 02-22-2013 01:04 PM

it's close but them having a "if cena wins we riot" t shirt is pretty funny

NormanSmiley 02-22-2013 01:29 PM

Anybody Thrilla 02-22-2013 01:52 PM

You guys can show all the videos you want, but I won't change my mind on DDP. Just letting you guys know that he's not something we can ALL agree on.

must have been dropped on your head as a child

Anybody Thrilla 02-22-2013 02:03 PM

Yes, my opinion on professional wrestling is a direct result of brain damage at a young age. Why would you even make this thread if you didn't want responses as such?

NormanSmiley 02-22-2013 02:24 PM

this thread went way off topic from the get go. i am sure you have quite exquisite taste in the squared circle.

Heisenberg 02-22-2013 02:32 PM

I don't remember anything ring related to DDP, and I watched WCW quite a bit, just the Diamond Cutter.

I don't anything about his past feuds or anything, besides the Taker/DDP stalker feud.

He's a great person though, so yeah, opinions.

The DDP stuff with Benoit/Raven over the US title was amazing but I respect ABTs decision to be wrong because he's awesome.

Bad News Gertner 02-22-2013 05:46 PM

ABT is well....you know......it kind of explains things.

I think we can all agree that that photo is a now-bittersweet moment frozen in time. :(

Bad News Gertner 02-23-2013 11:44 AM

The day wrestling died.

Corporate CockSnogger 02-23-2013 12:00 PM

I don't exactly dislike that moment, but I don't think Benoit should have ever been given one of the big belts. He was a good US champion, but he didn't have a strong enough character to be one of the big boys, and he was a bit boring.

Bad News Gertner 02-23-2013 12:09 PM

He was ALOT boring. Eddie wasn't much better.
