I was going to say not to do that ridiculous "two man war" against WWE, but then I realised you actually meant Vinnie Mac. I thought you meant the TNA tag team that couldn't be known as the New Age Outlaws.

HTrain90 03-07-2013 02:31 AM

Do NOT send Owen into the rafters in '99.

Everything else just seems so small in comparison to that.

Krimzon7 03-07-2013 06:57 AM

If this is an issue of hindsight, figure out a way to save Eddie, Benoit, Test, Owen, and numerous other wrestlers who have died too soon.

Also, I'd probably not push Brock to the moon if he is still hell bent on leaving after becoming a champion and the face of your organization.

Bad News Gertner 03-07-2013 07:08 AM

Brock was massively over. He had to be champ.

Shisen Kopf 03-07-2013 07:47 AM

Don't let Macho Man babysit Stephanie.

He got too much way too fast. If his push had been more judicious and some incentive had been laid out in front of him, he may not have gotten bored and decided to try out for football. Ryback was massively over as well but they did the right thing by making sure he didn't get to the top too easily. They're doing what they should have done for Brock. They're also doing what WCW should have done for Goldberg by making sure he can retain his popularity while losing as much as he could while winning. Granted, Ryback by all accounts has a love for the business neither of those other two ever did, but they're still taking good care of him in that way.

Anybody Thrilla 03-07-2013 03:45 PM

Brock had to be champ. You can compare him to Ryback and Goldberg if you want, but Brock was so much more talented that it doesn't even make sense.

Goldberg was clearly just looking for paydays. Ryback has a passion for the business...because he couldn't realistically do anything else as well as Brock could have. Brock almost made the Vikings and was a UFC heavyweight champion. A one of a kind athlete. I kinda see where he was coming from.

Christian has this "slapstick-like" moveset that is fucking brilliant for a face. It's why I like him as a face more than as a heel. The escape from the corner into the double kick, the slide under the ropes into a simple punch, the Piper-esque eye poke. It's unique to see a face who's pushed as a serious contender (atleast moreso than someone like Santino) actually have fun fucking with the heel like that and making him look stupid. It gives him a connection with the crowd. I enjoyed his face matches when he was the top guy in ECW immensely because of it.

Anybody Thrilla 03-07-2013 05:15 PM

Christian's ECW face run was fantastic.

Ultra Mantis 03-07-2013 05:52 PM

It's pretty hard to be interesting as a face when all you're doing is making the heel of the month look great.

#1-norm-fan 03-07-2013 05:55 PM

Which is why his ECW face run was fantastic. It gave him a chance to be the top dog that he wouldn't have on the "real" shows and he got to be that fun-loving but successful face.

Seeing as how one of the primary reasons they're dead is greed, and that greed is probably the only reason Vince is so rich, that might cause a paradox.

Outsider 03-07-2013 09:08 PM

So I have the ability to take the form of anyone I want.....and a time machine.

I will not be using this for anything wrestling related.

voncouch 03-08-2013 10:36 AM

1) Don't start up the XFL
2) Put the money towards buying out WCW talent from their contracts after purchasing the company
3) Book the Invasion angle with top-tier WCW talent
4) ????
5) PROFIT!!!!

Warn the Gov about 9/11

- Fire "Paul Levesque" right after the Curtain Call incident
- Make sure Shane McMahon is positioned, prepared and readied to take the helm of the WWE empire so that the company stays in the McMahon name for the forseeable future.

I do know this, but he should have had a longer road to it. Let him build up the respect and appreciation for the business he was in. That was it would be entirely possible that if he still decided to leave, WWE would have lost a rising star instead of the guy they were trying to build the company on.

Again, why? What egregious damage to WWE has HHH done that makes you want to wipe him away?

So, in other words, make him do something he didn't want to do? And how would you do this? And the company will remain in the family; even someone with as few feminist sympathies as I can see that the changing of the "family name" only offends the sensibilities of those with seriously outmoded patriarchal biases.

Fox 03-10-2013 08:06 PM

I am of the opinion that Triple H does not know what's good for business. I think he's had a great career as a professional wrestler, but the idea that the Kliq is actually going to OWN the biggest wrestling organization in history is a bit difficult for me to handle. I always thought Shane would make a great successor to Vince.

It's my fucking time machine, Tedious.
