Same nipples.

Swiss Ultimate 07-23-2013 08:59 AM

Remember when Chris Jericho was doing the triple powerbomb or whatever when he first got to the WWE?

Shisen Kopf 07-23-2013 09:07 AM

WWE should have an overweight championship. They should also bring back Mickie James.

Vastardikai 07-23-2013 12:14 PM

On one hand, he needs to definitely at least look like he cares about how he looks. Looking like an out of shape bum might get him by in the Indys, but you have to at least pretend to give a shit when you're in the big leagues.

On the other hand, "getting into shape" in WWE language often means Steroids, and I can also get why he wouldn't want to do that.

Affirmative Action?

Hanso Amore 07-23-2013 01:15 PM

Hero can just use Punk as an example.

Punk bulked up years ago, then now he is more lean and athletic. But he looks like an athlete.

Hero looks Clox in the ring.

Hanso Amore 07-23-2013 01:16 PM

Indifferent Cloxius Ohno

dingdongyo 07-23-2013 01:39 PM

he doesnt look fat, he looks loose. his gut looks kinda like mine. was he ever super fat? when you used to weigh a ton and then lose it, you have way too much skin left over. and it just stays all flappity.

He looks fat. Not Bray Wyatt fat either. Just looks out of shape.

ron the dial 07-23-2013 01:46 PM

he used to be a pretty big boy "back in the day"

Swiss Ultimate 07-23-2013 01:47 PM

He don't look so bad here:

If he were just walking down the street, with a shirt on, I dour anyone would stop and consider to him to be fat, so yeah good job on not being fat. But he's definitely not in shape, especially in a profession where you're paid to look like an athlete and usually doing so topless.

Vastardikai 07-23-2013 01:52 PM

He should switch to a singlet at the very least.

Corporate CockSnogger 07-23-2013 01:58 PM

If he just trimmed down he'd be fine, he doesn't need to be ripped to shreds. Like Gertner said, look at Jericho most of the time. He usually comes back from his absent stretches pretty ripped, but usually he's just well built.

Better yet, look at Edge. He was never really ripped or hugely muscular, but he never looked like a slob either.

I feel strongly that Kharma should come back as Tugboat's daughter, and wrestle in his gear.

The term you are looking for is Skinny Fat

Rammsteinmad 07-23-2013 03:57 PM

It sucks that a guy with so much talent, in the ring and on the mic, gets a bad rep for not looking like he's in shape... even if he has proven he can go in the ring...

Hanso Amore 07-23-2013 04:08 PM

To be fair, JBL was several years past his prime at that point. He was champion for 9 months and was a legit main eventer, he could get away with it.

Hero is a fucking WWE nobody.

DaveBrawl 07-23-2013 04:14 PM

Plus his whole deal was he was a 6'6" beer swilling Texan for so long leading up to that and that's what they're expected to look like.

Lay off jiggletits

Ol Dirty Dastard 07-23-2013 07:00 PM

the steroids excuse is past it. Most of these guys coming in don't have a Benoit/Guerrero/HHH circa 2002 body. You're seeing natural bodies come in, which is why guys like Daniel Bryan, Seth Rollins and so forth are coming in. From the workouts I've been seeing WWE guys do, it's mostly about athletic training and athletic bodies. They do olympic lifts and deadlifts and the like.

Even look at Big E Langston.... he is fucking absolutely massive but you can tell he is naturally just that huge, he doesn't look like Batista, he is just a thick, terrifying man.

Chris Hero or Kassius Ohno does not look like a fatass, he simply looks like he doesn't give a fuck and is out of shape. All they want from his is to just trim down a bit, and if he can't do that as an athlete then he doesn't deserve a push.

Ol Dirty Dastard 07-23-2013 07:06 PM

As far as Jericho goes, he looks better now than he did 5 years ago.

Same here. I don't understand the mind set where every wrestler that's not a "big man" needs to look like an athlete.

Fignuts 07-24-2013 03:23 PM

Because WWE is the pinnacle, and unless his gimmick is that he's an out of shape piece of shit, it makes the company look bad.

Juan 07-24-2013 03:37 PM

I agree that if he was told to get in shape, then he definitely should, but I couldn't care less about his physique either way. It's not one of the things I watch wrestling for.

This is my thought on the subject. Unfortunately for Ohno, the WWE does care about aesthetic, regardless of whether or not you can go in the ring. If he was told "Look, we like everything you do but we don't feel like putting someone who looks like you on TV," then yeah, it's shallow, but it's the company's right, I guess. Ohno can't blame anyone for that but himself.

Keep in mind that Ohno is not a young man, either. He's like 34 in a few months. As he gets older his body is going to get harder to maintain. Now that he's not on television and can focus on appearing to be fitter and not being able to use "But look at my ring work!" as an excuse, he might actually get a handle on it and be given props by management for turning himself around.

It's not just Ohno who has been pulled for weight issues. Weren't the WWE concerned about Brodus Clay, Big Show and Bray Wyatt at different points? It's not a nail in your coffin. It's all down to Ohno's attitude and what he does from here.

I'm sure they tried to sign Ohno at the same time as Cesaro but he failed his medical for whatever reasons and delayed him being signed for several months. Might even be that this isn't just an aesthetics thing and there's an underlying health problem.

He should. He is a pro wrestler who's only job is to stay in shape and wrestle a few matches a week in developmental. If he cant show dedication to the craft he can fuck off.

He looks like shit. This shit matters in entertainment. Why do you think Megan Fox has a job?

We live in a world where looks matter, and basement dwellars like yourself can try to convince yourself otherwise, but there is a reason Hero will never make it, and Natalya is a fart gimmick that follows a giant around instead of headlining the divas division.

Maintain? hes never looked good.

Bitterness.

Facts.

Cesaro looks better than ever.

Hanso Amore 07-25-2013 11:59 AM

Same with Bryan.

Hero? Looks like he works at a Jiffy Lube.
