Yep. '88 into the Gaston era was tough, too. Did Jeff Musselman even play that much in '88?
The Gaston era was great. Though, the Jays got a little too "Dream Team"-ish when they won the big ones. I always thought it was odd to see Rickey Henderson playing on the Jays instead of the A's. Ditto for Joe Carter and Dave Winfield. But it still ruled they were there.
Where I lived at the time, Braves fans were in abundance. But the guys across the street were definitely not Braves fans. so after the Jays won, they put up a banner that read "HOW ABOUT THEM BRAVES!" I just about died laughing. |
