Next week looks pretty good. I expect the Hardys really to win the #1 contenders match, Decay vs #Broken Matt & Jeff would be pretty good. Moose vs Eddie should be good. More for. Aron Rex as well. I

No, I usually just post in the ROH/TNA thread but I'm fine with a thread.

slik 08-11-2016 10:29 PM

Isn't Lashley "too big" to be X-Division Champion?

I'd start one every week if I were you, even if 90% of the posts are yours to start off with. If the backyard stuff gets a thread, give TNA it's own thread each week. :)

It's not about weight limits, it's about no limits!!!!!

Ok, I will from now on. I just see it as respect for the forums, If I'm the only one posting in it it's not to fun and I'd rather have it contained to the ROH/TNA thread than starting a new one that no one cares about. Although I guess a thread might get other people to watch.

Exactly, I'd like to see Moose, and Mahabali Shera be big men in the X Division like Samoa Joe was. It's not a cruiserweight division.

That was 2 different promotions and NJPW eventually didn't even recognize that as the true title after Brock beat Angle for the IWGP Heavyweight Championship and didn't defend it properly or something like that.

Sandow...well, Rex, cut a really great promo

Damian Rey 2.0 08-12-2016 02:16 AM

Feel like Aron Stevens would have been a good name but whatever. Glad he's gonna get a shot to do something.

SlickyTrickyDamon 08-12-2016 02:27 AM

Sandow might get me to wa--- sorry couldn't even finish that line. Good for him getting a pay day with these jobbers. Hope the check clears.

#1-norm-fan 08-12-2016 09:37 AM

I like the idea of TNA using Lashley as their dominant "real fighter" Lesnar type. I assume that's the case as I haven't gotten too much into it outside of the greatness that is Matt Hardy.

#1-norm-fan 08-12-2016 09:41 AM

Aron Rex. Damn. Shit name.

erickman 08-12-2016 10:27 AM

he needs to team with tyrus

RP 08-12-2016 02:35 PM

Between the fake " sneaky camera promo's " and the " woe is me, i did it for my mom " promo's that litter TNA every other week. I cant take it.

LOL what?

Mr. USA #1 08-12-2016 09:02 PM

Why couldn't Sandow just have been called Damon Sondaw? It's totally different but not. U know?

That's Brother Nero's theme.

Mr. Nerfect 08-12-2016 09:32 PM

Fuck's sake, Aron Rex? Are you kidding? Do TNA understand that the reason WWE trademarks the name of their "Superstars" is so that they can't go elsewhere and use them, and so that they can collect on licensing or whatever? TNA are not the machine the WWE is -- do they really expect "Aaron Stevens" to get so fucking over that he is worth millions of dollars? Fuck's sake.

Mr. Nerfect 08-12-2016 09:35 PM

I don't mind Bobby Lashley being the TNA World Champion. He's a beast -- it makes sense. I do mind him winning both the mid-card titles though. This means you have to move those mid-card belts to mid-carders by having them pick up falls against the champion.

I didn't like it when Seth Rollins won the US Title from John Cena, and I did not like it when Jay Lethal held all the pieces in ROH. It's a lazy way to try and get someone over. It also makes everyone who is not a champion look really shitty when one guy has everything. It shows that even spread out two or three ways, he's still able to rise above everyone else.

Mr. Nerfect 08-12-2016 09:36 PM

Why have these tools for making stars if they are all in one place? Those belts are redundant at the moment. They will also be redundant when someone beats Lashley for one of them but they aren't really the World Champion. Or they can become the World Champion, and that makes the other belts look like they're not worth having.

Simple Fan 08-12-2016 09:42 PM

I'm sure he had some say in the name. It's not perfect but it's something that is different from his WWE character so that's good. Given how Galloway has got over in TNA I expect Aron Rex to do well. He's always been great with every character he's had and TNA really give their talent more creative freedom than WWE so I think he'll do fine.

I dunno. If it's done right it could really get someone over without taking the main strap off Lashley. The problem is, no one cared Lashley has the main strap and no will care if he loses a secondary strap to someone else. Lashley kinda sucks.

Except no one will be watching because TNA makes horrible decisions that have chased off fans and gotten them kicked off every network that has ever given them a chance.

Okay, let's take the Moose example. If Moose wins and becomes X-Division Champion, why isn't he World Champion? Does he not face Lashley for the World Title because he's a pussy and he knows it was a fluke?

Simple Fan 08-12-2016 09:56 PM

I don't mind it, but as I e said I like to see him get a Bellator Heavyweight Title shot before he drops any of the TNA belts. I'm interested to see how they take them off him though.

VSG 08-12-2016 10:44 PM

Once again a newly signed ex-WWE guy is being pushed ahead of everyone else with nothing but a single generic promo done and a Chris Hero belly to add to it from what I saw. Great job, TNA.

Simple Fan 08-12-2016 10:50 PM

Yeah, I wouldn't have had him any where near Lashley. Should have had Eli Drake come outaand interrupt his promo to start a program between the two. Drake is a good young heel that would be a great starting feud for Rex.

#1-norm-fan 08-13-2016 09:04 AM

Yeah, I'm not a big fan of guys holding all the titles either. The titles should have their own identity. World title for total supremacy over the company. Secondary title for supremacy over the midcard/being the last stepping stone before someone hits the main event. X-division/Cruiserweight title for supremacy over the "high flying" divison, etc.

Having one guy hold multiple titles seems pretty dumb.

#1-norm-fan 08-13-2016 09:06 AM

That being said, I have no idea what the King of the Mountain title is meant to represent and I'm starting to wonder about the X-Division title.

Simple Fan 08-13-2016 01:50 PM

Hate the King of the Mountain Championship. Its the Legend/Global/TV Championship but last year when they put Jeff Jarrett in the Hall of Fame they renamed it to King of the Mountain in his honor. I thought he was going to take it with him for GFW but he didn't and they hardly ever do King of the Mountian matches for the title. Should change it to the Universal Studios Championship to parody WWE.

#BROKEN Hasney 08-13-2016 02:54 PM

Spoiler for the next week of impact.

Little worried the angle might now jump the shark.

VSG 08-13-2016 02:55 PM

It has.

Lock Jaw 08-13-2016 02:58 PM

Depends I guess if he is doing it to "mock" Matt or if it is supposed to be "legit"

Simple Fan 08-13-2016 03:08 PM

Matt finally broke him. They are now both Broken and can begin their quest to regaining theTNA WWorld Tag Team Championships. Matt has been brilliant but I'm not sure if Jeff has that in him, we'll see.

Simple Fan 08-13-2016 03:26 PM

Honestly I liked OBSOLETE Brother Nero but I thought he talked to much. Would have probably just put Jeff back behind the Willow mask and just have him silent behind Matt all the time if they were going to break him.

...... I don't think he looks any different particularly physique-wise than he did in WWE. (he's never really been a "body guy")
