i love how 24 always has some shithead person working in CTU. Like someone super annoying. Every season there is one. And this season it's Edgars sister lol.

The first two episodes were pretty 24ish. I do feel it is a little rushed. The last season we knew who Jack Bauer was, we cared about him for everything he has done and the people he has lost. We knew his values and we knew why we cared about Jack. This new guy's history is he was a Ranger or something and his wife thinks he hasn't gotten over it. So why do I care about him? They need to build this character up.

They're giving him a Roman Reigns push

Season 1 was a great buildup for Jack leading to the rest of the seasons. It was slower paced compared to a global or terror threat. I wonder if it would have been better off starting him in a domestic setting with his wife or someone being kidnapped/murdered.

Just watched the past two episodes...... kind of rooting for a "swerve" where Eric Carter dies and then Ben Grimes becomes the main protagonist.....
