In the effort to keep Roman looking "Strong," they've wound up making him look at times cowardly (Leaving the Rumble under his own power after getting put through the table, only to come back later) and Stupid (what could he have possibly accomplished if he even hit what he was going for?

I believe in Kenny Omega more than I believe in Roman Reigns. And yet Cornette is stuck on Omega.

I just want to say that wrestling kids is fucked up. Guys get hurt off routine stuff. It's just fucking dumb and and unnecessary. That's not even going into the goofy element to it that Cornette is absolutely right about. It's just...fucking hell, if I misjudged a kick and knocked out a kid's teeth? It's like mutant shit and you could never get me to agree to it no matter how confident I was in my abilities.

That being said, Cornette's gripes with Omega do seem to go too far. He whored himself out earlier in his career and now he's at a point where he's actually do good work. He's overrated as fuck -- his facials are shit and the flippy nonsense is just exhausting without substance sometimes -- but he's definitely grown as a performer. That being said, Omega did tell those lies in ROH that didn't endear himself to Cornette. That particular rant seems less articulate than Corny's usual ones though. Was there any more context to the situation?

Omega didn't even lie to ROH, they booked him for a show and he got injured. Instead of just telling them "hey my ankle is badly injured sorry I cant make the show", he also attaches a picture of a severed foot, intended for Delirious or Adam Pierce. Of course Cornette gets the email and doesn't know Kenny Omega and hates comedy so he thinks Kenny is a lying piece of shit. On the weekend of the ROH shows, Kenny accepted a MOTY award in Japan, he did absolutely nothing physical, but Cornette interprets this as "working a match" and "lying" because he would show up in Japan to accept an award but wouldn't then immediately fly over to ROH to wrestle with an ankle injury.

Remember when Cornette would break the 4th wall on Raw by going on some stupid rant that didn't really fit anywhere into the show?

They framed it like the old news editorials/his opinion is not our opinion rants on WCW during the Monday Night War, so he was doing shoot proms before they were even a thing.

How the hell did he whore himself out? He didn't do all that stuff with ddt for a paycheck. He did it becausr he enjoyed the creativity behind it. And the story behind the match with the little girl has been posted several times.

I think its also important to remember that stuff like ddt is meant for a different audience. They don't get hung up on this shit at all in japan because they just veiw wrestling differently.

If a guy can work, and he busted his ass to get there, then people don't care what he may have done in the past.
