Magnus was pushed while he was way too green. Same with crimson. Helk crison had been bumping for a year when he started there...magnus wasnt much different.

How about Matt Riddle as champion out the gate?

Mr. Nerfect 10-11-2017 06:18 PM

Orrrr, maybe Morrison? I mean, I think he's working for TNA now or something, but you've always got to wonder just how, ahem, "locked in" those things are.

#BROKEN Hasney 10-11-2017 06:19 PM

Judging by his brief tenure in TNA and from what people have said about working with him, he's about giving guys some creative freedom. Like he helped produce most of the Broken Hardy stuff, but all the ideas were Matts and Corgan was a good guy to bounce ideas off of.

I guess it depends how he wants to run it, advertiser friendly or something a bit more hardcore. We know he was an ECW mark and while I dont think something like that could fly now, there are some things you could take that aren't hardcore that other shows aren't doing.

Agree Magnus isn't worth much. He's got a look and that's it. WWE aren't afraid of some TNA stink and if they're not willing to pick ip a pretty boy with a recent body, then he can't be worth that much.

Morrison, Riddle and there's a well of UK talent still that could be tapped for fairly cheap. Jimmy Havoc and Rampage would be good pickups, but I'm guessing it will be the pick of the indies, so even NJPW and ROH guys might be fair game, just have to work around their schedule.

I've heard he got a lot better, and I think I saw some of his teamwork with Samoa Joe. I've got nothing against the guy and I think he would actually make a fine WWE signing. I dunno, something about him just doesn't seem "exciting." Like he's a solid hand, a good talent, does everything right -- but he's such a WWE talent that it feels like you're watching everybody else?

I'm not articulating my Magnus feelings well. It feels like you'd be putting the belt on him because he's the sort of guy something trying to be like the WWE would put the belt on. No statement is made by it. Nothing is really achieved. He's your perennial TNA/GFW/not-WWE champion. If they had a secondary belt, yeah sure.

He's your sports entertainer. Why would you watch NWA over WWE if it's just going to try and be everything that Impact Wrestling tried to do? Why does everything what to be Diet Coke?

Aldis would be a much better name than Tim Storm. I mean he's going to have to get guys from both WWE and GFW/Impact to get some names involved. Can't just have the Time Storms of the world and build a promotion. What the do and how they present those ex WWE and GFW guys is what will make or break them. It's not diet coke just because they used to o wrestle for another company. Corgan has seen the mistakes Impact has made first hand, I don't imagine he'll try to be anything like them. Doesn't mean he can't raid their talent which I feel is likely.

Mr. Nerfect 10-12-2017 12:03 AM

Oh yeah, no doubt. I'm sure the plan won't be to roll with Tim Storm, lol.

Bryan Danielson
Jimmy Jacobs on creative
Neville
Cody Rhodes
Richochet

all could be good people to sign

Mr. Nerfect 10-12-2017 04:08 AM

Jimmy Jacobs away from creative, please.

Mr. Nerfect 10-12-2017 04:09 AM

Unless he contributed something really good to the WWE that I missed?

Mr. Nerfect 10-12-2017 05:03 AM

You know, if TNA just goes ahead and folds, Bobby Lashley would make a great NWA Champ. Again, the only problem is that TNA stank. But Lashley kind of rises above that by being a legit freak.

He was really well-liked by the talent.
A lot of the Jericho/KO/List of Jericho stuff was his.

Pretty sure Ricochet is WWE bound once he leaves NJPW but won't be able to do anything until 90 days after Ultima Lucha.

A lot of the Jericho/KO/List of Jericho stuff is stuff I could have done without.
