His lawsuit is related to their medical practices. I'd sue too if a doctor found a staph infection that their personnel wrote off as nothing.

He basically had a temper tantrum because The Rock is a bigger star than him.

Evil Vito 01-02-2018 03:27 PM

Punk seemed receptive to working with The Rock and, in his own words, thought it would present a good challenge. He knew Vince's vision was going to be to run Rock/Cena 2 but with the belt on the line....so Punk's personal goal was to hit it out of the park to convince Vince to make it a triple threat instead of running the same match as a year earlier.

Destor 01-02-2018 03:45 PM

3 ways are so eww 85% of the time

Destor 01-02-2018 03:46 PM

Take work rate guys to pull it off...which none of those 3 are

Evil Vito 01-02-2018 03:57 PM

I dunno man, 85% of my fantasies involve two chicks at the same time and I rarely think it's eww

Evil Vito 01-02-2018 03:57 PM

Oops, wrong kind of three way

Big Vic 01-02-2018 04:00 PM

What's the other 15%?

Evil Vito 01-02-2018 04:04 PM

5% Becky Lynch being my sex slave
5% me being Becky Lynch's sex slave
5% Miscellaneous

I was on board at the time, but then I smartened up a bit. I mean, really, you have a choice between John Cena vs. The Rock and crossing into 1 million buys, or you've got a chance to do The Rock vs. CM Punk (and let's just keep the three-way thing clear, because they do suck), which one are you honestly going with?

Punk's WWE Title reign was actually boring as fuck. I don't even hate the guy, but there's a reason that other stuff was treated as being more important. It was more important. The WWE gave Punk such a long time to catch on, and he just...didn't matter. Not to the point he did in 2011 anyway.

Then it's "wah, wah -- I didn't get my pay-off." Mate, you had 400+ days or whatever to try and deliver something. It comes WrestleMania time and there's bigger fish to fry, that's at least a little bit your fault.

Mr. Nerfect 01-02-2018 06:12 PM

Bret Hart getting shafted at WrestleMania IX is far more offensive than anything that ever happened to Punk. Except for maybe the Triple H loss in 2011.

Big Vic 01-02-2018 06:30 PM

I would have been into the 3 way.

Mr. Nerfect 01-02-2018 06:53 PM

You also risk the fans seeing CM Punk as the cool, edgy outsider/underdog, with the fans wanting "CM Punk!" and then being disappointed when Cena walks out with the belt.

Fignuts 01-02-2018 08:25 PM

If 20 years from now, punk is bitching about it evety chance he gets, and generally being negative about everything, then he could challengd bret, but he's not even doing that now.

Destor 01-02-2018 09:22 PM

Hes been bitching for 20 years, why does he need to bitch for another 20?

Mr. Nerfect 01-03-2018 04:57 AM

He is a widely known malcontent.

Big Vic 01-03-2018 10:28 AM

I don't see news stories about punk bitching once a Quarter.... I do with Bret. Not to say punk isn't bitter. But no one is more bitter than Bret

Mr. Nerfect 01-03-2018 06:46 PM

A large part of that is because Punk is not in the news. If he were being interviewed about...anything, he'd be bitching.

Kathy Griffin <s>might be</s> is more bitter than Bret if we open this up to non-wrestlers.

Curtis 10-29-2019 06:52 PM

Hard to say. A bitter taste in meat typically comes from fat, so we would have to know both of their fat percentages. I would say since Bret is quite a bit older, he must have more fat deposits, especially around the belly as men tend to gain belly fat when older, while CM Punk especially due to his mixed martial arts training is a lot leaner. I would have to go with Bret Hart.

Seanny One Ball 10-29-2019 07:16 PM

I'm not bitter, but I've seen better days

Teddy Geiger is a broad now.

Curtis 10-29-2019 07:56 PM

"Don't be bitter.
Be better"

Sounds like a crappy facebook meme that moms would post who are all set in life.

Seanny One Ball 10-29-2019 09:37 PM

Yeah, moms that used to be dudes called Teddy.

Bret may be bitter, but fuck if he isn't right every single time

Bret should be 100 in any video game

McLegend 09-10-2022 09:32 PM

I feel like this would be a closer poll now.

xrodmuc316 09-10-2022 10:03 PM

One guy got literally forced out of a company, his championship stolen, suffered a career ending injury, and had a stroke.

The other guy didn't get to wrestle the last match of one show, even though Miz did, and had a guy make a veiled reference to a former friend from like 8 years ago.

Amazingly, the second guy is the more bitter of the two.

Mr. Nerfect 09-10-2022 10:17 PM

I don’t think either guy is bitter. Bret works for the WWE and is regarded as one of the best of all-time. Punk’s career is less legendary, but has its spikes. He’s made a shit-tonne of money and continues to do so as possibly AEW’s highest paid guy (who knows how long that will last?). You can be cynical and critical without being bitter.
