RP 03-26-2019 05:08 PM

It's gone beyond just people being out of touch. It's entered into a place of badness that no one has ever seen before. They literally play the same matches over and over. They've already spoiled WM 35. Finn is going to be the Demon. You can find that anywhere on the internet. This company is absolute shit. The worst thing for me personally is that my favorite person is Dean Ambrose and apparently he's gone after WM, but if not and it's a work, I firmly believe WWE will fuck that up.

I havent watched the last 3 weeks. There is no fucking way in hell you can get me to spend 8 hours of my fucking day watching WM. I'll be drunk the first 2 and passed out by hour 3.

I've never seen a more mismanaged company and i'm fucking stunned Fox hasnt terminated before it even gets started. Maybe Vince managed to negotiate one helluva deal.

Probably. But only because of the fact that we can’t see EVERY show. Just like the worst song of all time is probably some “cutting edge” attempt at music that is actually just noise that no one has ever heard of. But for the sake of actually having a discussion, it’s still fair to list, say, “Friday” or something as the worst song ever.

Which is why they will never be taken seriously by WWE.

Because I love wrestling I’ll try once or twice a year to watch raw. Usually can’t make it past a segment. Will grind through the odd ppv if there’s an interesting matchup but again maybe once or twice a year. I keep up with results in hopes that there is something to watch but usually it’s a lot of Baron Corbin.

XL 03-26-2019 06:31 PM

Not sure if it’s the dirt worst show on TV, but it might be objectively the worst show that I watch. Genuinely don’t think I would continue to watch other shows if their quality was as consistently iffy as Raw.

This and why I voted "yes" on the poll.

There are worse shows on tv but I either don't bother to watch them or quickly lose all interest in wanting to continue watching. RAW has been the worst for long time shows I've watched especially in the wrestling genre.

Could probably argue Triple H's Reign of Terror, Cena being drafted to RAW, or the start of the 3 Hour Era is where RAW started its consistent decline in quality outside of brief moments here and there. For me personally, its been since Cena was drafted to RAW since that started the SuperCena era and its terrible effect on WWE's creative process for RAW.

Seanny One Ball 03-26-2019 07:21 PM

Three hours of RAW has how many minutes of actual wrestling?

That's a good point, someone like you who watches every so often should be a bit confused when you tune in, not caught up in 5 minutes.

Attitude Era gets praised for a lot of what they did great, but they don't get enough credit for constantly evolving characters. If you missed 3 straight weeks of Raw in 1998 for example, you would come back to at least 10 new things that happened in those 3 weeks you missed.

If you only watched Wrestlemnia 34 than Wrestlemania 35, the biggest changes you would wonder about is what happened to the guys from last year that were super over, Braun, Shinsuke, Rusev, Bobby Roode, Asuka, and Kevin Owens are at, since most of them are likely gonna end up on the preshow.

You are going to be surprised to see Daniel Bryan is a heel and The Miz is a face.

Other than that, what's changed? A few NXT Callups will be non factors on the show. You will see they have a women's tag title, and that most of the women are still as interchangeable as they were last year.

Brock Lesnar is still part time champ.
Seth Rollins is still a good worker.
AJ Styles is still a Babyface.
Randy Orton is still a Tweener.
The Cruiserweights still don't matter.
And what's this, a 14 years later Wrestlemania rematch with Batista and HHH, which they, I could have skipped 13 Manias and will still understand these guys fighting!

Since WWE constantly brags about being the longest episodic TV shows, they should actually make new episodes every week, not a constant replay of the same bouts for weeks on end.

Usually in the 30-50 minutes range according to PWI's weekly tally reports. Last week had 45 minutes and the week before was just 34 minutes.

Seanny One Ball 03-26-2019 07:54 PM

That's a fairly obvious problem then.
Building a coherent storyline is best done in the ring.

rez 03-26-2019 07:56 PM

Bachelor is on Mondays, right?..

Yeah...gonna go with RAW.

As long as anything involving Kardashians or The Bachelor is on TV, not even close....

You go out on that limb, but you be careful young man. Climbing trees is dangerous.

Alright so we’ve seen the Kardashians and the Bachelor brought up a few times now as examples of worse shows than Raw. Are they?

Explain to me why Monday Night Raw is a better show.

Ol Dirty Dastard 03-27-2019 08:45 AM

I watch neither the Kardashians nor the Bachelor but can guarantee you both are easier watches than RAW by virtue of show length and better production.

Big Vic 03-27-2019 10:44 AM

I'd still rather watch Raw over C-Span... or boxing

SlickyTrickyDamon 03-27-2019 01:42 PM

Nobody has refuted Chrisley Knows Best as being worse than Raw. Poll disqualified.

This. THIS. A million times THIS. I will never know why people nowadays have to make everything either the best or the worst. Things in life aren't always black and white, there's quite a bit of middle ground.

"I touched this fire and it burned me, it's literally the worst, most useless thing ever." GTFO.

DAMN, if you’re going to rage against hyperbole, it’s probably not the best look to do so while saying “A million times THIS” and “people have to make everything either the best or the worst.”

It kinda sounds like you like hyperbole. :y:

Supreme Olajuwon 03-27-2019 02:51 PM

Also, all you guys who are so outraged by the question, feel free to explain why you believe Raw is a better show than the examples given. Or feel free to add to the list of reasons to watch Raw. So far the only reason contributed is that screech got a boner 20 years ago. And frankly, that’s not a big motivator to me. Sorry screech.

Seanny One Ball 03-27-2019 02:55 PM

A twelve year old's boner is never enough for Supreme.

Supreme Olajuwon 03-27-2019 03:07 PM

I need 3 or 4 to even start the conversation

There's plenty of worse shows on TV. Ever watch any of those reality game shows or just reality shows? They are the LJN of television today.

I meant what I said, right down to the millionth time, and that's not hyperbole, either. It's a fact.

You guys keep saying there are worse shows out there but no one has given a reason why Raw is better than those shows.

Seanny One Ball 03-27-2019 08:45 PM

An opinion based closed question is not something which anybody should ever feel compelled to give more than a yes/no/other answer to...

Supreme Olajuwon 03-27-2019 08:55 PM

I mean that’s not even remotely true.

Seanny One Ball 03-27-2019 09:00 PM

I think you'll find it is. You didn't ask for further qualification or support behind the opinion in the OP and your poll indicates a general interest in the overall response rather than the rationale behind it.

If you want full answers, ask open questions. That's what they are fucking for.

I’m not sure what you’re talking about Seanny

#1-norm-fan 03-27-2019 09:06 PM

Reality shows are an easy answer because “lol reality shows are for dumb people.” I’d like to hear how exactly Raw is currently superior to reality TV in general though.

Those are follow up questions that again, people do not have to give you answers to.

Furthermore no question demands a response at all. If you're met with any answer it is a pleasantry rather than an entitlement.

Seanny One Ball 03-27-2019 09:10 PM

Supreme probably broke a few monitors in the A/S/L? days...

I really have no idea what your point is. This is literally true for every conversation in life other than sworn testimony.

Seanny One Ball 03-27-2019 09:23 PM

Unbelievable

Supreme Olajuwon 03-27-2019 09:30 PM

Pathetic

Supreme Olajuwon 03-27-2019 09:32 PM

Anyway, even though you don’t have to and this is completely voluntary, would you please be so kind as to state in detail why you believe your position is correct regarding your television opinions? I would greatly appreciate it. But no pressure.
