Court of Owls should deff be the sequel.

I'M... THE BATMAN!

Fignuts 05-30-2019 06:15 AM

I mean, comic fans would love Court of Owls, but Mainstream audiences might not go for it

slik 05-30-2019 09:39 AM

IDK a cool rich cult has possibilities, haven't seen in a superhero film yet

Damian Rey 2.0 05-30-2019 11:43 AM

If it's good mainstream media will love it. That's all that really matters.

XL 05-30-2019 11:51 AM

I could go for Riddler. I wouldn’t disqualify him due to being covered in Gotham as a movie has a broader appeal than the TV show. Riddler would play off going the detective route with Batman too.

Luigi 05-30-2019 12:20 PM

Very interesting ideas and thoughts being posted in this thread and I commend those posters for their contributions. I think this is one of those things where I'll have to "see it to believe it" so to speak. The Dark Knight trilogies is just so legendary that any attempt to duplicate it or come up with a new twist to the Batman series will likely just fall flat in my opinion.

Pattison looks too dumb to go the detective route.

Condiment King for the villain or I'm out

The same could have been said for Spider-Man and Marvel did a great job creating a different take on the title character that's different but every bit as good as the Raimi version.

It's not going to duplicate TDK films. And it's been 7 years since Rises came out and it'll be closer to 10 years once this film hits. I think that's more than enough time.

I'll admit he's not my first, second, third or 20th choice. I trust the director tho, so I'll give him the benefit of the doubt till proven wrong.

"For being the world's greatest detective, it sure did take you a while to ketchup to my dastardly plot, Batman."

Filming starts this fall in London, btw.

WrestleRacer91 05-07-2020 03:19 AM

I for one cannot wait for this movie. I had/have my doubts about R. Pattinson being Batman but now that I've sat back and thought about it, he does have the looks and I'm looking forward to it a lot.

Seanny One Ball 05-07-2020 12:05 PM

The villain should be some sicko like Victor Zsasz if this is going to be a detective flick.
The Batman hunts a serial killer.

Lock Jaw 05-07-2020 12:26 PM

Zasz seems popular for live action adaptations...... he was just in the Birds of Prey movie

Seanny One Ball 05-07-2020 01:36 PM

I wasn't aware of that. What else has he been in?!

Seanny One Ball 05-07-2020 01:42 PM

Looks like he was in Birds Of Prey, Gotham and Batman Begins. Ever.

"popular" is maybe an overstatement considering the volume of Batman there is to get through.
But yeah, maybe do some other murderer.

It can't be some goofy character.

El Vaquero de Infierno 05-07-2020 01:56 PM

I want some more of this... nipples included.

Kite Man.

Hell yeah.

Damian Rey 2.0 08-22-2020 08:15 PM

I have obtained the trailer. And I'm pumped. Completely different feel, look and tone from the Nolan films. So far so good.

RP 08-22-2020 08:35 PM

I really think Robert Pattinson could be the best Batman of all time. If you told back when the Twilight movies were a big deal, that 10 years later he would be one of the best actors in the world, i'd tell you you're fucking stupid. But here we are. And he really is one of the best.

slik 08-22-2020 09:07 PM

Looks fucking great!

Damian Rey 2.0 08-22-2020 09:13 PM

I love everything about that trailer. Has a Seven feel to it.

El Vaquero de Infierno 08-22-2020 09:18 PM

I'm not going to lie: that trailer has me interested.

road doggy dogg 08-22-2020 09:33 PM

I could've sworn I just read something the other day that Affleck is doing Batman still in a Flash movie. Is this a separate Batman movie that's still somehow coming out too?

actually don't answer that, I'm so fatigued on Batman movies I don't care

Kalyx triaD 08-22-2020 09:40 PM

You asking if the Flash movie is a Batman movie or..?

Lock Jaw 08-22-2020 10:36 PM

Flash movie has Batman Ben Affleck and Batman Michael Keaton in it.

This is apparently a "different universe" entirely to Justice League

The Flash movie is going to introduce the multiverse in films. Affleck and Keaton will reprise their Batman roles in that one film.

The Reeves/Pattinson Batman is it's own thing much like Joker exists in its own universe.

Lock Jaw 08-22-2020 11:33 PM

Anyways, this could be an interesting movie, but I already hate Bruce Wayne's haircut.... this is gonna be like The Amazing Spider-Man where I just hated that dude's hair and couldn't get past it....

I came in here to say exactly this. We've never gotten a Batman movie where that element of the character has taken center stage. So that has me excited.

That said, I dunno about the voice. That "I am Vengeance" line sounded a little weak.

On the other hand I thought it was "good" to have a more "normal" Batman voice that would be less hard for people to make fun of. Will need to hear more.

Destor 08-23-2020 01:21 AM

i liked his delivery. felt human (unlike bale) but still had authority

Lock Jaw 08-23-2020 01:28 AM

I liked Bale in the Batman Begins because he actually relaxed his Bat-Voice when talking to others like Gordon/Rachel.... the other two movies it became hardcore Bat-Voice all the time

It's definitely an improvement over the Bale voice in general. It's more Keaton with a little more gusto than anything else. And I still like the Keaton voice.

Lock Jaw 08-23-2020 09:13 PM

Kevin Conroy best Bat-voice. Right behind Adam West.

Damian Rey 2.0 08-23-2020 10:39 PM

Lmao West. I loved that man. Shame he never got a cameo in any of the films.

Seanny One Ball 08-24-2020 06:55 AM

Looks good.

I liked the punching.
