Jordan Devlin and Pete Dunne weren't stripped of their titles, but the difference is they weren't choosing not to work because of the pandemic, they were actively being stopped from showing up because of travel restrictions. Dunne was also replaced in the tag team and the titles were then lost by Riddle and his replacement (Timothy Thatcher). Then there's the tournament to name an interim nxt cruiserweight champion who I guess Devlin will face off against whenever travel restrictions are lifted.

Guess its more of a perception issue since they didn't really need to strip him that quickly considering Jordan Devlin got to keep his Cruiser title and he hasn't been able to work for NXT since travel bans got enacted.

Could have avoided the negative online backlash and feeling he's being punished despite WWE's promises beforehand if they had just made this an Interim IC tournament instead.

Bryan vs. Gulak was pretty good overall. Heavy in grapple and submission-based action but didn't feel boring like other drawn out or slow style matches for these empty arena shows.

This week's episode ended up being pretty decent overall. Didn't really drag that much like most of WWE's empty arena shows but still lacking enough quality moments to make it "must watch" or worthy to watch later.

How is AJ Styles even in the tourney? I know we are back to mixed brands, but surely they could have found another Smackdown guy for a Smackdown title right?

I was under the impression it was a singular invite per week (Charlotte to SD this week, Corbin to Raw on Monday) but as both Styles and Charlotte are on SD next week I guess not. Quite smart of them not to put a number on it as they quickly forgot their own restrictions last time.

They could have easily booked Cesaro/Nakamura as a mirror to Bryan/Gulak on the other side of the brackets, but we could be getting a Bryan/Styles final so I can forgive it.

I quite like the pairings they put together for the tourney - apart from Elias/Corbin who I have zero interest in.

Tonight's show might be good or maybe not but 205 Live getting some real love from WWE/NXT is probably the biggest surprise moment of the week.

That might have been one of the worst openings and Miz Tv segments in recent times.

Strowman vs. Miz & Morrison in a handicap match for the Universal title at Backlash sounds interesting.

:lol: at the random voice over insert of Cole. Guess WWE realized they screwed up by including Styles in the IC title tournament. Not even a week into the new brand rules and WWE already had to tweak things. Styles got flat out traded to the Blue brand for some guys to be named later.

Styles vs. Nakamura was pretty good overall.

Also still laughing that it took WWE a week to screw up their new invitational rules because nobody thought beforehand why it was a bad idea to include Styles in the IC tournament. Also gave away that Styles is winning the tournament or else they wouldn't have needed to do the trade deal.

I think its for star power for SD given no Roman in the immediate future

WWE timed that commercial break badly. Graves blabbering about the match continuing after the break despite Bayley lying on the ground and away enough from the ring to not make it back in time since the count was about to hit 10 when it went to commercial.

Makes sense but the timing of it is a bit hilarious since WWE could have completely avoided this had they announced the trade last week and not right when the match started.

These Cole voice overs are pretty bad in terms of audio quality. Sounds like Cole is giving these announcements straight from radio.

Mixed tag match was pretty good.

SD has been pretty enjoyable soo far for once. Maybe even the best SD empty arena show assuming things don't go downhill badly in the last 30 minutes or so.
