Lol, we’re not matching up on this subject at all, are we? In this case, I overlooked Goldust proper and am more talking his stuff when he was just Dustin Rhodes in the getup.

I remember when he turned face in 97. He was so bad. I also loved his stuff with Luna lol so there ya go. I admit I have terrible taste in wrestling haha

No, no, no — that was terrible and I was overlooking it.

I marked out hard when he brought back the goldust gimmick to fight Val venis.

Bad News Gertner 01-23-2022 04:24 PM

And didn't he turn back heel soon after? When was the stuff with Blue Meanie? Wrestlemania 15?

XL 01-23-2022 04:39 PM

Yeah. There was a lot of change in a relatively short timeframe for Dustin. He was doing the “Artist Formally Known As” gimmick at the start of ‘98, was doing the whole “born again” deal in the summer, was back as Goldust in October, and turned heel with the Meanie thing in early ‘99.

I loved heel Goldust, far superior and one of my favourite characters of all time. The entrance was incredible and it was like nothing we had seen before in modern wrestling. Pushed the boundaries about as far as they would go and was pretty much must watch anytime he was on TV in that era.

Ken Shamrock was a better face I thought.

Face Goldust was ace alongside Booker T tho.

You mean the 97 run? I guess this depends where you live lol

I thought Bulldog was a better face,

Loose Cannon 01-25-2022 01:29 PM

Savage is such a toss up. He was flawless as both

drave 01-25-2022 02:54 PM

He was the best heel when Sherri was by his side.
