I don't see the Jets beating the Pats at New England. Nobody beats the Pats at home.

BabyHugger 10-24-2004 10:33 PM

Risky prediction Gertner, but it worked out in the end :)

Gertner 10-24-2004 10:40 PM

lol it's not a prediction! it's a fact!

Boondock Saint 10-24-2004 10:48 PM

The Pats are the shit.

Triple A 10-24-2004 10:57 PM

Jets should have won. Jets should have won.

Too bad that didn't happen..

Triple A 10-24-2004 11:07 PM

Really? Good call. Read my post again.

Jesus Shuttlesworth 10-24-2004 11:39 PM

Patriots are gross

Patriots > YOU

VonErich Lives 10-24-2004 11:41 PM

What a fun game... The first qtr was great... I think like 4 or 5 drives ate the whole qtr.

The jets had the clock and got all the way down and bang... big turnovers.

The pats got lucky, there turnover didn't hurt them... and when the defense had to come up big and stuff the Jets at the end hey did.

They kept showing pictures of schilling bloody sock, ortiz and from last nights sox game ortiz hr, bellhorn hr and foulkes final K.

forgot how much fun it was going to nfl games... what a great stadium... think I might have to get club seats next year (it's the only "season ticket" available, the others have like 60K on a waiting list).

Jesus Shuttlesworth 10-26-2004 09:05 PM

They might make the stadium bigger for the fans. Since its like a horseshoe now I guess, they might close up the other end. But this was just through the "rumor mill" or whatever

I still haven't gone inside Gillette Stadium yet, I went to one of the training camp practices but they are held right outside the stadium

I doubt it, the whole bridge/light house thing.

They had the orignal option to make a huge stadium 80-100K seats and it would have sold out... but they wanted to keep it "intimate"...

oh well, the guy I got tix from said I get first dib on any games he doesn't want this year... WOOOOOOOOOOOO! I think I need to get a new portable grill :)

Jesus Shuttlesworth 10-26-2004 09:26 PM

Ive always wanted to go with a group of my friends. It is impossible to get tickets though

Buzzkill 10-31-2004 06:32 PM

Loose Cannon 10-31-2004 06:39 PM

GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO PATRIOTS

Loose Cannon 10-31-2004 06:40 PM

HAHAHAHA. YEAH RIGHT. Finally something to cheer about

VonErich Lives 10-31-2004 06:43 PM

I'd rather lose to any team but Pittsburg...

Doesn't suprise me, to the extent no Dillon and Law is also out now.

But, it's long from over... I'd just rather lose to any other team in the league (even miami or the jets) then Pittsburg...

Anyway, it's only a regular season game... it's being undefeated in the playoffs that count.

The Highlander 10-31-2004 06:43 PM

I'm not saying it isnt possible but beating two undefeated teams in 2 weeks is tough... I think they took everything they had out on this game. Nice game today, but sorry won't happen next week.

The Highlander 10-31-2004 10:33 PM

Next week, Pittsburgh goes 3-0 on the season against undefeated teams (although one was in week 1...:-P)

Triple A 10-31-2004 10:54 PM

WHOOOOO

Buzzkill 10-31-2004 11:45 PM

Considering I love Pittsburgh, and hate the Patriots, today was a good day

Except for my beloved BRONCOS who sucked it up again.

BCWWF 10-31-2004 11:49 PM

What was up with the Vikings though, that was poor

Gonzo 10-31-2004 11:55 PM

The Giants were up with the Vikings, that was what.

Gonzo 10-31-2004 11:55 PM

Anyone watch Giants games the past few games? Gibril Wilson #28 is gonna be a baller.

Y2Ant 10-31-2004 11:59 PM

Was Moss even playing today?

I don't think he even had a reception.

Nice to see Bennett back though at least. :o

Gonzo 11-01-2004 12:03 AM

Yeah he was in the first half as a decoy you could say. Came out at halftime in a t-shirt.

I guess you could say we didn't play the offense at full strength but a W is a W.

Y2Ant 11-01-2004 12:13 AM

Yeah, having no Moss is no excuse, we have four running backs who are all capable of carrying the load, and Burleson/Robinson/Campbell are all good enough to pick up the slack in Moss's absence. They did well enough without him against the Titans last week.

I dunno how well Culpepper played, but from what I watched of the game on NFL.com, he didn't look like the same guy who threw 5 TDs in three games. Can't really judge it very well from just watching the online shit though.

5-2 is still a great start, I can see another loss coming at Indy next week (which I personally won't mind :o) but the Packers are catching up

Giants are impressive, they only have the Packers and the Rams/Seahawks to be worried about as far as a playoff place goes.

VonErich Lives 11-01-2004 10:50 AM

Yeah, the Injury bug has hit hard... Dillon, Law, Gay, Light....

Ty Law left the stadium on crutches w/ a cast on... I'm a little worried about trying to cover STL rec w/o Law and Poole is also injured, Gay who was the backup got hurt, they had to move a Saftey to CB.

VonErich Lives 11-01-2004 05:30 PM

So, 2 OL injured, 2 starting CB injured, backup CB injured, WR's injured... and the Pats still had a shot in the 4th.

I must admit, the Steelers still make me laugh... this is the team in 2001 we're doing interviews before the AFC championship talking about their superbowl plans and people they'd bring and where they were going to stay, etc... and then got their butt kicked in their own home.

So, they spend the whole offseason talking about how they were they better team and that was their trophy (the Raiders did this also) but the steelers really kept it going... so... what happened week #1? The Pats destroyed them, not even close!

So, now finally the Steelers w/ a new QB, new RB and others are saying "See, we told you in 2001 we were the better team, it only took us 2 years to prove it"

Meanwhile the Pats are saying... "Where's your ring?"

Steelers "We broke the streak, we broke the streak"

Pats "Yeah, we just want to be undefeated in the playoffs".

Anyway, I take nothing away from the steelers yesterday, yes the Pats had some major/key injuries, but you have to have depth which the Pats always have... More importantly, there were no injuries on the DL/LB and the Steelers OL (after the 1st) physically beat up the pats DL.

but, thats why we play 16 games and then the playoffs... I just really hope to meet them again in the playoffs. :)

Gertner 11-01-2004 08:53 PM

It was a great run while it lasted.

Y2Ant 11-01-2004 10:04 PM

Is Ty Law gonna be out a while?

I have him on a couple teams :@
