BEST.TAG.TEAM.MATCH.
EVER

RemyRed 12-05-2004 11:01 PM

What happened? Who won?

Loose Cannon 12-05-2004 11:01 PM

XXX :( :( :'(

Loose Cannon 12-05-2004 11:02 PM

AMW won and it seemed awesome

RemyRed 12-05-2004 11:02 PM

Noooo...:(

MVP 12-05-2004 11:03 PM

God I hope Dusty pushes Fallen Angel.

RemyRed 12-05-2004 11:04 PM

Did anything happen after the match?

Loose Cannon 12-05-2004 11:05 PM

nah. Everyone was bloddy

Mr. JL 12-05-2004 11:05 PM

I was waiting for the Kings of Wrestling versus Styles, Hardy and Savage but I thought the way they took the angle was so stupid. And those outfits Hall and Nash wore were ridiculous.

Williams V. Sabin was good, except for the way the match ended.

And That Six Sides Of Steel Tag Team Match should be what TNA is all about. Guys like Harris, Storm, Daniels and Skipper are the way to go!!!

I was pretty bummed out with the Kings of Wrestling versus Hardy, Styles and a Paul Heyman-like-balding Randy Savage. However, that Cage Match lifted my spirits so much.

RemyRed 12-05-2004 11:08 PM

The best match on the card and I miss it :(

Innovator 12-05-2004 11:10 PM

sweet, there goes my favorite tag team

Mr. JL 12-05-2004 11:13 PM

"Please Don't Die" chants for that match and what Skipper did was insane. ANybody else would have fallen to their death

RemyRed 12-05-2004 11:13 PM

Was that an Elvis song that the Kings Of Wrestling came out to?

Innovator 12-05-2004 11:14 PM

It looks like the Raven TNA jobbing tour '04 ended on a good note

RemyRed 12-05-2004 11:14 PM

What did Skipper do?

Mr. JL 12-05-2004 11:15 PM

All I can remember about that match is

1. TNA fans don't like Hardy
2. Hall and Nash looked ridiculous
3. Jarrett actually looked pretty good in the ring tonight
4. I could have mistaken Savage for Paul Heyman
5. The ending sucked.

Well, he did that. 15 feet high across the thin fence of the top of the steel cage .. It was the most insane thing. I thought he was going to kill himself

RemyRed 12-05-2004 11:23 PM

Damn you Time Warner, first you deny me High Speed Internet and then you deny me the greatest tag match this year!

KingofOldSchool 12-05-2004 11:33 PM

So when they showed that WWE footage, did they refer to the WWE wrestlers by their names?

Mr. JL 12-05-2004 11:38 PM

BG James looked like he was talking to Eddie Guerrero for a bit. They blurred everything out but I am pretty sure it was hm

Funky Fly 12-05-2004 11:39 PM

Oh, so that Vince/HHH stuff that JL was going on about was legit? The way you put :shifty: and nothing else was making me think you were just spamming like a retard.

Souds like it was a good show, save for Savage and company. I wish I had digital cable.

Yeah, I was hoping people on here were actually watching the PPV and would catch on or whatever. Seems as though not too many people around these parts were watching the show.

The Six Sides of Steel, DDP V. Raven and the Williams/Sabin match were the only matches I really got into. The Vince/HHH segments were pretty funny. Everything else was kinda meh.

Final Resolution:

Nice Video package for TNA's Final Resolution - Jarrett's is to be a better musician/shots of guitar shots. AJ's is to improve his table manners/shots of AJ going through tables. Brown's is to lend more friends a shoulder/shots of the pounce.... funny stuff.

The Footage:

Douglas with Traci and Abyss with cookies and balloons walking through the studios.Truth and BG James come up talking about Mahi Mahi. BG asks for a salad, wants to talk to Vince. BG bothering people. Everything almost is bleeped out except for the TNA superstars. BG asks for Ben-oit. Some guy brings the guys a salad, and BG says he's fired! BG also says that he made Vince a lot of money, the least he could do is talk to him. Shane Douglas wants to talk to Vince and discuss some things from the past. Truth is the only one that actually stole WWE food.

Six Sides Of Steel - Losing Team Must Split
Referee: Rudy Charles
Triple X vs. America's Most Wanted

This may be the last time we ever see Triple X, or America's Most Wanted as the losing team in this match must split up forever. Don Harris comes down with handcuffs, as the two get in the ring, and the door is closed.

The start:

Daniels and Storm lock up, each trying to send the other into the steel. They give up and lock up again, Daniels getting the better with a knee. Skipper and Harris then get in the ring and trade punches.Skipper with a knee to slow him down, then a snap mare. Elix with some kicks to the back of the head before he goes over and attacks Storm as well. When he comes back, Harris hits a full nelson slam and tags Storm.

Mid-match notes:

They send Elix to the ropes then a double back body drop. Daniels in the ring taking punches from both guys. When they try the body drop again, Daniels gives one a kick. AMW gets the advantage, and picks up Daniels to throw into the steel. Storm tosses Skipper in the steel, then goes over and gives Daniels' face the cheese grater treatment. Daniels is opened up and bleeding already as Harris is tagged in. Harris now rubs his face and head again on the links. Harris tries a long suplex, and Elix hits him to break it up and Daniels pushes him into the turnbuckle. Double teaming now, a double suplex on Harris, then a scoop slam leg drop by Triple X. Elix in the match punching Harris and clubbing him with forearms.

Daniels tagged back in and they take down Harris together. Daniels with headbutts to Harris, knocking him to his knees. Then Daniels locks in an arm and head hold of sorts. Harris tries to go off the ropes, but Daniels with a quick clothesline takedown. Triple X double team kicks Harris, and Storm is trying to rush across the ring to stop them. Daniels is REALLY bleeding already. There is even a towel in the corner for them to wipe the blood. Elix measures up Harris and does some pointed kicks. Harris grabs him though and gets up and sends Elix into the steel. Both teams make a tag.

Storm getting the better of Daniels with rights then a powerslam off the ropes. Storm with an enziguri on Elix as he gets in the ring. Storm sets up Elix for the Death Sentence but Daniels pushes him out of the way. Harris comes off the top with a cross body block. Elix in the corner and Harris charges him, but Elix elevates him and drives him face first into the steel. Elix throws the towel away and they were hiding their handcuffs under the towel!

Harris trapped in Triple X's corner, and Elix racks his face across the cage. Triple X double teams Storm now with punches and kicks in the middle of the ring. Elix drops elbow after elbow on Storm. Daniels taunts Harris with the key and then grinds the key into Storm's forehead, drawing blood. XXX grabs Storm and throws him like a battering ram into the steel. Elix goes and beats on Wildcat in the corner, and Storm is busted open. Elix rubs his forearm against Storm's face. Harris is screaming for the key. XXX continues to batter Storm, and Daniels puts the key around his neck. Daniels up on the turnbuckle now as Elix holds Storm. Elix picks Storm up in a powerbomb, and Daniels comes off the top with an elbow across his neck. Only gets two!

Elix holds Storm up and Daniels goes to the top, but Storm gets out of the way! Daniels takes out Elix, then Storm comes off the ropes with a spear! Storm trying to get the key over to Harris! Harris has the key finally and uncuffs himself then turns to Triple X and lays them out with several punches and a flying forearm. Harris hits a gigantic spindebuster on Daniels then they both turn their attention to XXX and slug away at both members. Harris bashes Daniels' head on the cage, Storm does a reverse DDT-suplex on Elix into the cage. HUGE TNA Chant from the crowe now. Harris vertical suplexes Daniels and just throws him against the cage twice before dropping him to the matt. Only a two count by Harris on Daniels.

Blood stains covers the entire ring, Harris goes off the ropes and Elix hits a huge belly to belly. Daniels suplexes Harris up, and Elix comes off the top rope with a cross body, but just for two. Storm with a running spinning neckbreaker on Elix, then sends Daniels into the cage. Storm elevates Elix, and Harris comes off the ropes with a Hart Attack/Lariat. Daniels rushes Storm, but then gets picked up and sent into the cage by Storm. He tries a body slam but Elix gets in the way. Elix sets up for the Death Sentence and Daniels hits it perfectly off the turnbuckle, but just gets two!

Daniels is frustrated and grabs for the Death Sentence, tells Elix to go to the top of the cage. Storm up after Elix! He grabs him from the top of the cage, and hits a 10 foot POWERBOMB! Elix somehow kicks out! Daniels goes after Storm and hits the Angel's Wings, again just for 2. Harris coming back to his feet. Daniels goes up the turnbuckle, then Harris rushes and hits him in the back. Harris and Daniels both climbing ALL THE WAY UP! Harris straddling the top, Daniels on the turnbuckle! Elix up top as well. ELIX on the top of the cage now as Harris sits on top! ELIX WALKS ACROSS THE TOP OF THE ENTIRE CAGE AND HITS HIS HURRICANRANA!

LOUD HOLY SHIT CHANT! Daniels on top, Storm is in the middle of the ring, Elix is still out! Daniels with a huge elbow from the top of the cage, now a TNA chant! Everyone is down and out, Daniels is the first up, climbing up the turnbuckle again. Daniels on TOP of the cage now again. Storm grabs Daniels's head to suplex him into the ring. Elix gets him, and Harris come up behind him as well, and they do a GIGANTIC TOWER drop move with Daniels on top, then Storm, then Elix, then Harris, everyone crashing down.

Everyone is bleeding, the ring is stained dark with blood, Everyone is staggering or knocked out. Harris and Elix are up and fighting. Harris tries the Catatonic, reversed, Elix goes for teh POD, reversed, another Catatonic, REVERSED, and Elix just slings him into the cage. Daniels and Storm lock it up, Daniels with several brutal headbutts, sends Storm into the turnbuckle, Storm kicks him from the turnbuckle. Both men now walking along the ropes, Daniels elbows Storm to knock him off the ropes. While Daniels stands on the ropes, Harris runs and SPEARS him against the cage wall!

The finish:

Now Harris drags Daniels over and he is handcuffed to the ropes. Elix tries a bodyslam, but Harris gets out and pushes him into the superkick. They steal XXX's POWERPLEX instead of using the Death Sentence and pin Triple X for the THREE COUNT! Triple X is no more, and AMW have won the Six Sides of Steel.

Winners - America's Most Wanted

Shaggy 12-06-2004 12:46 PM

Definently the tag match was the best match of the night if not one of the best matches ever to happen in TNA. IT WAS INSANE. Im glad they ended the show with that match because the big Kings of Wrestling Vs. Hardy, Styles & Savage sucked so much. It was the worst match on the card. Savage looked like an angry papa smurf. Very horrible. Macho man is not needed there.

MVP 12-06-2004 02:36 PM

Wrstlezone.com said that Savage was next in line to be champion after he pinned Jarrett last night. I sure hope that's bullshit.

All that Elvis shit started it. I loved the way they had built up the angle but they managed to completely fuck it up all in one night with those Elvis costumes and Elvis promo and the ending of the match was stupid.

jerichoholic169 12-06-2004 03:40 PM

jesus christ that 6 sides of steel match was the most insane match EVER!! how elix was able to walk across the top of that cage and deliver that hurracarunna was absolutely amazing. how the hell daniels didnt break his leg about that huge tower suplex-powerbomb move i'll never understand. i'm stunned....if i ever see another match as insane as that and no one gets killed, i'll be amazed. give all four of those guys four weeks triple pay holiday. they deserve it after that.

as for the rest of the show.....it wasn't that good. the footage was different from what was anticipated - i thought it was in the ring?? kinda reminded me of DX invasion of WCW.

Innovator 12-06-2004 03:43 PM

We should begin a FREE AJ campaign, get him out of this shit angle.

Yeah, Storm bumped exactly on his ankle/leg. I thought it was broken for sure. I was just waiting for him to try and lift his leg and was thinking it would just flop over, kinda like the way Sid Vicious leg did at the WCW Sin PPV.

That match saved the PPV.

Mr. JL 12-06-2004 04:20 PM

The Fans were great last great night...

"Lets Go Petey!" ... "Lets Go Sabin!" .. Lets Go Petey!" .. "Lets Go Sabin!"

"Lets Go Hardy!" ... "Hardy Sucks!" ... "Lets Go Hardy!" .. "Hardy Sucks!"

*Macho Man in the ring* "We Want Hogan!" .. "We Want Hogan!"

"Please Don't Die!" .. "This Is Awesome!" .. "Best Match Ever!"

Mr. JL 12-06-2004 04:21 PM

Oh and the "We Want Thumbtacks!" chant as well

The Show Off 12-06-2004 06:00 PM

I'm calling it right now, at the next pay per view Petey Williams is going to face the master of the Ultimate X Match Chris Sabin in the highly innovative Ultimate X match, and perhaps that match alone would be enough for me to buy a TNA PPV. I would have loved to see the 6 Sides of Steel Match and the X Division Championship, but the rest of the card was dissapointing at best.

Yeah, I would really enjoy seeing a ONE ON ONE Ultimate X Match.

Its not, its standard booking. World Champ is in a tag match, the champ gets pinned, the guy who got the pinfall therefore "deserves" a title shot.

Its hilarious to me that they are going to give Savage a title shot.

MVP 12-06-2004 08:14 PM

^My guess is that Jarrett will probably retain against Savage in their future match since he got the pin last night, and I doubt Jarrett will job twice to Savage. Most likely just a match to buy time for AJ/Jarrett or DDP/Jarrett.

Of course if they DO put the belt on Savage then he'd probably be a transition champion and put a younger guy over him in the future.

The thought of Savage putting someone over is even funnier than Jarrett vs Savage.
