If Foley would've just shut his fat yap and shook Flair's hand then he would've have gotten decked.

I could give two flying fucks less about Flair being an asshole, I'd rather be an asshole than a whiney bitch like Bret Hart and most of the people here.

As noted earlier, Mick Foley and Ric Flair were in a scuffle last night backstage before RAW. The general consensus was that the two men were just “acting like babies” and that they were just “working the boys” backstage to get them talking about a Flair verses Foley match at WrestleMania. While this could have been a legitimate confrontation, others feel that it was staged in some way. At any rate, WWE has never been known to make up angles backstage solely for the locker room.

1.) Foley didn't get decked, he got punched. If he gotten decked, he would have been knocked out, and since reports indicate that the fight was immediately broken up and both men were kept apart, I'm guessing Foley was perfectly okay afterwards.

2.) I've read both "Have A Nice Day" and "To Be The Man". I agree that Foley has taken shots at Flair, and Flair has taken shots at Foley. However, Foley never went on TV week in and week out trying to insult a man who isn't even a full time member of the roster. Quite frankly, I think if someone had been talking trash about me while I wasn't around and offered me a hand shake is a bitch. I also who have made reference to the shit he had been talking about too.

3.)

Bret Hart stroke or not could kill Ric. Ric wouldn't be able to get one damn shot in. Bret can fight, and isn't as much of a nice guy as Mick when it comes to that sort of stuff.

John la Rock 12-14-2004 03:49 PM

^ what he said Bret has trained in the dungeon. Look what Jericho did to Goldberg

Zen v.W.o. 12-14-2004 04:11 PM

Yep, and just refer to how Bret handled both Zeuz and HBK with ease backstage. He not only punches hard as hell(ask Vince), but the man can take you down in whatever style he'd choose to.
You trainn in the dungeon and you just plain know how to fight after..look at the facts:

Jericho takes down Goldberg..huge size advantage.

Pillman takes care of Sid..huge size advantage.

I've heard of more, but point is Flair would take an ass whipping. May not take one as badly as he would have surely had Bret been totally healthy, but he'd take one all the same.

John la Rock 12-14-2004 04:13 PM

also can't forget the time that Bret knocked THE FUCK out of Vince McMahon

That depends, is the hippo named Hip Hop? If so, the shark would choke on all that hair.

:shifty:

Foley makes some comments, evryone's fine by it. Flair makes some comments in his book on how he feels and everybody jumps down his throat.

As for Flair saying it on TV... I really don't think he would have the choice. I mean, it's the writers and all. Plus they wanted to get more people to buy his book.

Anyways... Flair goes, seeks the man out while he is there, and offers a handshake. Foley rejects it and asks for an autographed copy of his autobiography (in what I can only assume was a mocking tone) which leads Flair into punching him.

Flair was willing to confront the issue and make sure there were no problems and offerred his hand.

I admit punching Foley was a bit extreme and should not have been done.

But all of you are going on about how Flair is a dick.... Flair tried to make peace, Foley is the one who rejected.

Oh yeah... and as for Bret Hart... he does indeed punch hard. He broke his hand punching Vince McMahon.

By that logic, Eric Bischoff has tried to reconcile his differences with Flair via talking it out/handshake, but Flair never gives him the time of day and in fact just randomly walked into his office one day YEARS after their WCW problems and punched him in the face.

I mean, which time was Flair wrong then, because he certainly wasn't right in both cases. ;)

Flair :nono:

As much as Flair deserves to get hit by Foley I'm glad he didn't fight back. Good professional move on his part.

Disturbed316 12-14-2004 06:40 PM

I can picture the scene. Flair does one of his crappy little rabbit punches to Foley, and then flops down infront of him.

Bischoff wouldn't do anything.

Like, I don't know. Sometimes you can be a really good poster and then every time Flair is brought up, you act like a 3rd grader defending Batman.

Champion of Europa 12-14-2004 07:01 PM

I love both Foley and Flair, but it appears to me that Foley is in the wrong here. Flair seemed to try to extend the olive branch, but Foley couldn't get over some bad feelings.

This will not hurt my respect for either wrestler.

Good point. I should have said could instead

RP 12-15-2004 04:13 AM

If this was staged , i hope to god flair hit him then dropped to his knees and begged for mercy.

Hippo won after the Shark got owned when the Hippo realised what was going on.

wait. I'm confused. So you always keep a gun on hand, and when someone doesn't take the olive branch, you shoot them?

Sorry, that's just retarded.

Flair was not really ready for peace, or he wouldn't have hauled off and hit the guy.

They're both at fault.

Those shows are about as accurate as pro wrestling.

True that.

I love how KOS tries to make fun of Bret's stroke.

The guy hit his head on pavement after a bad biking accident, I hardly see how this makes him a pussy.

Whatever, there's no point in posting anymore, once and idiot, always an idiot.

WARNING: BAD JOKE AHEAD

Because he wasn't shot in the stomach.

Rob 12-17-2004 01:04 PM

Flair's handshake means nothing because his word can't be trusted. I probably would have spat right in his eye. Grumpy old bastard.

Naw. If you're gonna assault an old man, go all the way. Pants him (For someone his age, that means yanking his pants from his nipples to his waist), then kick him in his 200 year old balls (This only means lifting your leg to about your ankle).
