yeah Tice should give Moss a fine for that even though he probably won't... I wouldn't be surprised to see the Vikes knock off the pack considering Green Bay has now lost it's top two recievers and TE. Who knows though Minnesota might be a surprise just because their offense can put up points like nobodys business.

BCWWF 01-03-2005 04:41 PM

I would think Miami tries to get a somewhat distinguished free agent QB from Free Agency, aka Drew Brees.

I'll root for the Pats, but I just think they have too many key injuries to get past Pittsburgh.

player for player, Steelers have the better team then the Eagles, I just think the steelers are going to choke...

MoRcHeEbA 01-03-2005 04:43 PM

you picked the team who chokes the most though :'(

Yeah and so did Denver before TD... I just think Eagles have a better running game then they had the last few years... who knows, I sucked at FFB this year, I'll probably suck at my picks.

Alex Smith, Jason White (Chris Weinke 2005), Stefan LeFors, Jason Campbell, and (maybe, dunno if he's declared yet) Aaron Rodgers are the top QB's this draft. I don't really see any of them being top for some reason. I don't really know their needs though. Is DGY around?

BCWWF 01-03-2005 04:48 PM

Matt Lienert is supposed to be taken real early if he declares

I guess im the only one who has some hope for the Broncos. I think it will be one tough game but I bet my Broncs can take the colts. If the Broncs do lose I predict it will be by a field goal. But thats my pick right there. Broncos over Colts.

Jesus Shuttlesworth 01-03-2005 05:53 PM

Colts worry me this year, I am more worried about them then the Steelers honestly. I really think the Patriots will beat the Steelers if they get there. Colts worry me though because they are "due" for a win againest the Patriots. Plus the secondary is banged up which plays right into the Colts hands. I don't know, Law will probably be back. And Gay is probably playing at the same level as Pool as this point. It will be intresting to see Law if hes back in the flow or whatever. I am hoping the Colts lose in the 1st round somehow, get them out of here

Law scares me if he's not ready vs. the Colts.

buy Seymour really worries me if he's out... that's huge... especially against pittsburg.

I swear, "The Snake" is one of the biggest wastes of talent... the guy had the athletic skills to be one of the best... can run, can throw a frozen rope on the run... but he has one of the worst heads in the game.

The Outlaw 01-03-2005 07:08 PM

Shaun surprised me with his comments. I am glad he spoke up though, it shows he is unhappy in Seattle. Ride his tail all the way to the goal line the whole drive and then sneak it.

Again I am surprised he spoke up. He's not the kind of guy who is selfish or greedy and whatnot, but I'm sure people are going to think that. He, along with a lot of other people, thinks he deserves it.

The Miz, what are your thoughts on it?

I think somehow the Jets will win in Sandiego :(, then they will lose at Pitt.

I think the Packers actually might have a shot at goin to the superbowl, but i'll pick the Patriots to beat the Falcons in the end.

Gonzo 01-03-2005 10:13 PM

There is no way in hell the Eagles even get to the Superbowl.

San Fran already said they aren't interested in Leinart because he isn't much of an athlete

Yeah it will be extremely difficult for the Eagles to get there without T.O. but o well.
I think the winner of the possible Indy Vs. New England matchup goes to the Super Bowl. I have this feeling that Pitt will choke somehow.

I would sorta have to agree with you on this one. Hes gotten better this year than the last few years but he just needs to know how to hit more than one receiver all the time.

I know its going to be much harder now, but honestly the NFC is so weak, the Eagles still pretty much have it in the bag

I think im gonna be shocked if Pitts doesnt win it.

1) Is he the only top QB in the draft?

2) Never believe what a team tells you before the draft, if they're telling you the truth then they're idiots.

I keep hearing they want to trade down, also heard Mike Willams (see: Jerry Rice).

Well, that all changed this weekend a QB sneak was the right call. why risk a handoff where you can fumble the exchange plus you step away from the line. Plus there was plenty of time left. The simple fact is, they were 1/2 a yd away from OT against a team of backups in a game that decided their division and home field in the first round of the playoffs. So the "We were going to win anyway" was crap.

1-10-SEA40 (10:07) M.Hasselbeck pass to R.Hannam to SEA 48 for 8 yards (D.Hall, B.Scott).
2-2-SEA48 (9:38) S.Alexander up the middle to ATL 49 for 3 yards (K.McCadam).
1-10-ATL49 (9:05) S.Alexander left tackle to 50 for -1 yards (T.Hall).
2-11-50 (8:20) M.Hasselbeck pass to B.Engram to ATL 27 for 23 yards (A.Rossum).
1-10-ATL27 (7:36) S.Alexander left tackle to ATL 27 for no gain (B.Scott).
2-10-ATL27 (6:57) M.Hasselbeck pass to J.Stevens to ATL 16 for 11 yards (B.Scott, B.Smith). ATL #91 Smith injured on play - walks off the field.
1-10-ATL16 (6:31) S.Alexander right tackle to ATL 14 for 2 yards (M.Stewart).
2-8-ATL14 (5:55) S.Alexander right tackle to ATL 3 for 11 yards (C.Draft).
1-3-ATL3 (5:13) S.Alexander up the middle to ATL 1 for 2 yards (C.Draft, B.Scott).
2-1-ATL1 (4:32) M.Hasselbeck up the middle for 1 yard, TOUCHDOWN.

They started at the Seattle 40.
Alexander got the ball 6 out of 10 times... Gaining 3, -1, 0, 2, 11, 2.
So, out of those carries (6) he had 1 good run 11yds.

Plus there were still over 4mins left.

Boomer 01-04-2005 11:36 AM

If Atlanta makes it to the Superbowl, it will be a miracle. But I'm rooting for em.

For the past 3 years, this one included, I've picked Ram vs Colts.

I'm gunna stick with it . I have a feeling the Rams are set to go on a roll offensivley. Lets face it. Anyone who gets hot will come out of the NFC. I dont see one team in the NFC that can sack it up and take down a red hot team.So i'm thinking the Rams are about to get hot.

I'm die hard Colts. This year looks like " The Year". I havent seen a better Colts team in my 14 years of being a fan. Honestly i think we can handle the Broncos. Hell Jim "friggin" Sorgi was torching there defense. Pats vs Colts could be one for the ages. This rivalry has been building fast over the past 2 years and i just get the feeling theres gunna be a Epic match up.

Colts over Rams superbowl

Nervous Ferret 01-04-2005 04:22 PM

shut
the fuck up.
Colts are great but they will never beat the Pats. Game over.
Rams are 8-8. :shifty: Sure they have heart but there 8-8. :p

slextremely 01-04-2005 04:35 PM

Umm it won't be Game Over until we see what happens in the second round Ferret. and yes the Rams suck.

The Miz, what are your thoughts on it?

The QB sneak was the right call, much safer play. What wasn't a correct call was to only give him 19 carries or whatever. I don't agree with Shaun publicly bitching about it. We gained some momentum by beating one of the top teams in the NFC on a goal line stand that won the division and a home game against our rivals. No need to create any controversy or slow anything down right now. And who cares if he didn't get the title, everybody knows he's better than Curtis Martin. Adrian Beltre hit more home runs than Barry Bonds last year, but everyone knows Barry is the best power hitter in baseball.

Nervous Ferret 01-04-2005 04:53 PM

also didn't shaun fumble on the 1 yard line against the jets? much safer to do a qb sneak.

Rain Man 01-04-2005 04:57 PM

The QB sneak was a good call Alexander was just being a bitch

VonErich Lives 01-04-2005 05:50 PM

He apologized, said something like "I'm human, I've poped off before and I did it again, and I take responisbility for my comments and don't want to hurt our team".

On the flip side, Tice said he spent an hour on the phone talking w/ Moss about Why he left early...

WTF, I'm the owner, I fire him... That conversation should have lasted 5mins and ended w/ "Here's your fine and/or suspension".

Pats won a superbowl w/ their #1 WR suspended for the rest of the season (Terry Glenn).

MoRcHeEbA 01-04-2005 05:52 PM

I wouldn't be going around telling people that Terry Glenn is your number one reciever.

The Outlaw 01-04-2005 05:57 PM

Yeah I guess after I think about it, it MIGHT have been the right call...but I dunno...meh

This was my post on another forum after I actually thought about it.

Do I think he deserves the title? Yes

Do I think Holmgren should have given him more carries? Yes

Do I think he is underappreciated in Seattle? Yes

Do I think this was the right thing to do? No

We before me, Shaun. I know you are frustrated, we all are, but this wasn't the way to go. The game wasn't in hand. You will get the rushing title many times over in your career.

:$

"was"

Glenn was great his first few years... look at the numbers.

At the time, he was a key part of the offense, but he was a jack ass and the coach had enough and benched him for the season.
