See, I don't know if I can include you. Usually, these kind of people never play or check your team after the first 3 weeks.

Loose Cannon 02-18-2005 04:24 PM

K, made the league. I'll PM the guys who are listed on page 1 when I see them online. I only made 14 spots, so some of you didn't get in due to limited space. Sorry.

If anyone wants me to make changes to positions/stats/draft day and stuff, just PM me or post here. I don't really care about that stuff, I just wanna play, so whatever you guys want is fine :y:

mitch_h 02-18-2005 04:32 PM

Anyone talk to RBM?

EN 02-18-2005 04:48 PM

14 is too small. 16 or 18 is good.

Can you send me the details. I'd like to get my team/draft set up ASAP.

I'd be keen to avoid an uneven schedule and teams becoming too stacked/ talent pool too thin.

lesser teams makes the talent pool to thin?

:wtf:

EN 02-18-2005 05:25 PM

I was talking about getting the number of teams and number of players on the rosters right.

You can have 14 teams but if each team has 30 players and a huge number of slots to fill then you end up with a thin talent pool. Tiny rosters are also pretty shit because teams just get stacked.

DaveWadding 02-18-2005 05:56 PM

12 and 25 is the best.

It is because I'm Eagles fan right? Your right I have Lacrosse coming up soon so I probably won't be able to keep up

Loose Cannon 02-18-2005 06:14 PM

who cares if I have 2 more teams. It's just for fun. Unless you were giving me a cash prize for winning, I'm not going to take it too seriously.

This is a good thing, but you do understand there are people who will, you understand that there are people who are going to bitch, whine, complain, etc...

You mean 12 teams, 25 spots per team?

Or are you trying to justify 25 teams?

DaveWadding 02-18-2005 06:43 PM

I mean 12 teams and 25 roster spots per team. No one in their right mind should be able to justify even a 20 team league.

Ok, I was about tell you to double your meds :)

First year we did FFB or was it baseball, didn't we have something stupid like 20 teams?

Fair enough.

A couple of comments.

Complete games - the top guy had 9 last season. It's a pretty rare stat and one that is more random. The same for Shut Outs, Jason Schmidt led the league had he only had 3 all year. But I can see why you've got them as its a rotis league.

A couple of suggestions - holds. These normally work pretty well. They give value to a whole set of players.

Fielding stats are also pretty good as well and stop the league being too power-based. I enjoy having to make pay-off decisions, a guy with a good bat but who makes a lot of errors. A guy who turns a lot of DPs but doesn't have much power.

Only 2 bench spots is pretty small as well, maybe increase it by a couple and 3 DL spots is better than 2.

But its looking good and since I won the Rotis league last year I'm looking forward to defending my title.

Is anyone going to run a big head 2 head league like last year? Supreme? You did a good job last year.

DaveWadding 02-18-2005 06:50 PM

football maybe. I remember you being in the baseball league though and we've always only had 12.

For once, I agree with him.

Loose Cannon 02-18-2005 06:57 PM

K, I'll change a few of the stats later. I never played in a league that counted fielding stats, so I just thought people hated them. I'll include them then.

Included CG cause Mulder got me a ton a points a coupleof years ago with his CG and I've always been partial to that. Same with Shutouts. I'll keep those.

I had the bench at 5 and thought it was to much. I'll change that andthe DL then :y:
