A note which you could call rough justice regarding Lita. A number of
WWE wrestlers were hanging out at TGI Fridays in Wilkes-Barre following
Raw this past Monday night. There was Lita, Edge, Benoit, Christian,
Tomko, Victoria, Maria, Hurricane, and a few others. Lita, Edge and
Benoit all sat and ate together while the other wrestlers sat away from
them. There were dozens of fans who were pretty much treating them all
like rock stars. Edge and Lita later got up to leave together and then
at least 30 fans surrounded them and started chanting "You're A Whore!"
Needless to say Lita and Edge then made a hasty exit.

Yup, especially that within his TNA contract period, you KNOW they'll make a Hardy Boyz renuinon, which Matt has stated he doesn't want for a long while yet

I doj't think he's against it short term. Not from what I've read. Then again, these were interviews, and he might not want to tell his fans to "fuck off and get over it."

Why not? That's how Steve Austin got over.

jerichoholic169 05-13-2005 04:08 PM

yeah Matt said he doesn't want to do the whole Hardy Boyz reunion thing. Personally i think Matt's enough of a singles star to go on his own nowadays easily enough. I think they should have a thing backstage, or maybe compete with each other to see who can outdo the other, similar to benoit/angle in late 2002 except without tagging. Matt will come back with such a huge fan following after what has happened jeff has a great following with all the teeny-boppers there that they shoulnd't be a shocking heel turn between them.

And no way in hell will Matt go back to WWE unless he gets a complete apology for the way he was treated - which will never happen.

Just John 05-13-2005 04:39 PM

Lita would botch any kind of storyline

Shadow 05-13-2005 04:44 PM

Yet another reason...nah. Never mind.

Anyhoo...Matt shall be going to TNA, that's a fact. And when he does...gods I hope he does something. Anything as long as it's not teaming with Jeff.

No offense Master.

Extreme WHO?

Anyway I would love to see Matt in TNA. And I know this is a VERY unpopular opinion, but I enjoy Jeff's work. Hell yeah he is sloppy...worn out...and about as extrme as my thumb, but he has a damn load of charisma. I really wouldn't mind seeing Jeff Hardy vs. Matt Hardy for the NWA World Heavyweight Championship at some PPV post No Surrender.

Rumor Killer: Matt Hardy Not Scheduled For WWE Return

There were some reports yesterday that Matt Hardy may be brought back to WWE as the crowd reaction was getting to Vince McMahon. Lets just clear up all the rumors right now and say that there have been no talks whatsoever between Matt and WWE management about a return and there are absolutely no plans to bring him back at this time.

TNA is currently drawing up a contract for Matt which he is expected to sign after his 90 day no compete clause expires on July 11th. He's also scheduled to work Ring of Honor as well.

So again, there are no plans for Matt to return to WWE right now and the stuff that had been posted on some sites was only rumored and never confirmed. To be completely honest, Vince McMahon feeds off stuff like this and will only go further with it. Rumors have Lita and Edge together as an on-screen couple following this Monday's RAW.

This could just be something that Vince could be faking in order to keep the internet and "dirt-sheets" hush-hush, though. I'd be wary of ANY "rumor killers" that are suddenly posted. My guess is that Vince reads up on those things, too, just to be sure nothing he wants to spring on the fans with is leaked in any sort of way.

If Vince and the WWE creative team were good enough to create an illusion this big, I'll eat my hat. Not just any hat, a sombrero.

They were good enough to shield us from the JBL push last year, so I wouldn't put anything past them.

I'm just hoping you have a big mouth, because I want you to be able to eat that sombrero (because, well, I'M wanting V-ONNNNAAAAHHH back)

Innovator 05-13-2005 08:57 PM

I want the Angelic Diablo back as much as anyone, but it won't happen

The Angelic Diablo vs The Charismatic Enigma.

yeah that would be good compared to the usual title matches where JJ uses every kind of weapon and every kind of interference to retain -its boring now. but seriously, jeff hardy has got a lot better recently so heres hoping AJ v Jeff for the title later this year where Jeff will win.

I meant the "Angelic Diablo," which is pretty much Matt by himself.

That was one of the dumbest fucking nicknames he could come up with, which actually makes "The Charismatic Enigma" look good.

Just John 05-14-2005 01:11 PM

Not just that it makes Johnny B. bad sound good, what was anybody thinking when they made that name?

Kane Knight 05-14-2005 04:18 PM

They were probably thinking "Jeff's right. What could ONE HIT hurt?"

M-A-G 05-15-2005 03:52 AM

Feuding with Matt Hardy would do nothing but slow down the upward momentum of Edge and would seriously trivialize the whole ordeal. And it's almost been two months for Christ's sake, everyone needs to get over it already. The fans are pretty much chanting for Matt out of spite more than anything. This isn't like crowds in WCW chanting "We want Flair!" out of demand.

Yeah, coz no-one really wants matt.

I know I don't. :p

But seriously, you can't compare the Ric Flair chants to this. Flair's support was more along the lines of "We want our hero back and we'll pay to see him as champ blah, blah, blah". Matt's support mainly stems from sympathy as opposed to "We want our hero back and we'll pay to see him as champ blah, blah, blah". Besides, not alot of people outside the Internet fans even know about the situation (well maybe now thanks to Matt) so it's not like it's casual fans demanding his presence. I mean, really, who bought No Way Out 2003 solely on the promise of seeing Matt Hardy vs. Billy Kidman? Or Vengeance 2004 solely on Matt Hardy vs. Kane? I like Matt and all but it's not like the company's crumbling just cause of one release. If he comes back, he comes back. Business as usual in the world of wrestling.
