I have a voucher for EB Games that I got for Christmas with this game's fucking name on it.
|
Not literally, of course, since it would be weird that a voucher would be made out TO a game, but you understand the gist.
|
I've had this reserved for at least three months now.
|
In an interview for the January 2006 edition of Maxim, Shiageru Miyamoto said this Zelda would be "Hardcore".
I don't have the Magazine and I'm not going to buy it for one interview, so if anyone here buys it regularly, could you let us know what he says? I looked around google for the full interview but couldn't find it. Oh and I doubt hardcore means topless elfs, Zelda snorting crack and nude scenes. Probably either gore or really tough dungeons etc. |
Zelda:TP potential "spoilers" below (in black text)
OK, I stumbled upon this site which has a few paragraphs about Twilight Princess. It contains what could be massive spoilers so click here at your own risk of enjoying the game. It may be true, it may not be. I don't know.
Anything involving the could-be-spoilers should be posted in black incase people dont want to read them. Random Zelda/Myspace humour: <--Click |
I'm gonna dismiss that "conspiracy theory"-esque thinking.
I'll just wait 3 months and find out for myself :D |
Although the guy kinda makes sense :(
|
My thread
Anyways, not gonna read into any possible spoiler material, I did the same with the Wind Waker, so anything storyline was I didn't really know about. Though it was obviously Ganondorf but sssshhhhh. Not long till the release now! TEH PWN.!>!.1.1!!!!11``¬ |
I skipped most of the thread, when is the release date?
This actually works out very well, because I wass planning on getting my own 'Cube (my sister took hers to her place when her and the bf moved out) for my room to get the Mega Man X collection, so LoZ will just be icing on the cake (or in this case, jiz) |
I read there is no concrete release date but most people are saying around about April/May.
|
Yeah early April release date I hear. And Jizz indeed.
|
Made a music video, using clips of the new game. It's my first video so its simple and not exactly a masterpeice lol but practice makes perfect.
Click here. Pause it until its fuly loaded or else it freezes for a sec. Enjoy :y: and any comments or suggestions (about the video) are welcome. |
Zelda>your mum
Yeah Im a massive zelda mark and I cant wait untill it comes out. The only reason I brought a game cube was so I could play ww and even to this day I still havnt brought or played another gc game since. This game though is giving me goosebumps. It looks fucking immense. I dont think in my mind it will be better that Oot. I was 13 I think when It came out and at the height of video gaming enjoyment. |
Well I know most people would say the exact opposite but I enjoy Wind Waker marginally better than OoT.
Like I said before, I could never quite get into OoT, although I was about 10 at the time and maybe at some point I'll give it another run on the speacial edition disc I got with WW and I'm not just jumping on the bandwagon but this Zelda could be the best so far. |
I enjoyed WW as well, but seriously OoT is one of the best console games ever released on any system. I strongly recommend giving it another shot.
|
Yeh, Wind Waker ruled, a part of me will miss the Cel-Shading.
|
Wind Waker was good but I enjoyed Oot and MM more. Prob because I waited years for ww to come out and when it did I expected a massive epic like Oot.
|
I absolutely adore Wind Waker, but OoT is the most fun I've had playing a video game. However, I had troubles getting into MM. Am I the only one?

Not too hard. I started one game, got to the second dungeon pretty quickly, but the three days thing lost my interest or something. I guess it's not enough "Zelda-esque" or something. That and the Bomber's notebook sidequest. I'm not sure. I might continue my game right now to try and get through it at least once before Twilight Princess comes out.
|
It's worth it.

What do i do with the Ghost Ship in Wind Waker to get the Triforce Chart? |
You need to get to the Ghost ship at a certain time in a certain part of the sea, so that it doesn't vanish when you get near it, there's a sea chart telling you where you need to go at a certain point, can't right now remember where you get it, though the Fish Map guy will inform you.

Kapoutman isn't the only person I've heard say that they didn't like Majora's Mask because of the time line aspect. Though really, it doesnt do anything, apart from make you lose you're bombs and arrows, and money if you don't deposit it at the bank. Except from make the temple area's go back to there Majora'd state (i.e poisionous swamp etc) But you can simply step into the temple and fight the boss by standing on the little floor tile thing, so that you can ultimatly 'cure' the temple again.
|
yeah I figured out the ship thing. Finished the game  no clue what that space to the right of my Iron Boots was for though :wtf:
|
Like I said, I finished Wind Waker but am I the only one that thinks...*(highlight spoilers) Wind Waker is the last in the series, story wise? I know that there is Twilight Princess soon and I'm sure many more over the coming years but I mean in a "time-line" sense. OoT is set before TP and TP is set before WW and I have a feeling all the others will be set before WW to. in the ending Link smashed the Master Sword through Ganons head and incased him in stone. Then Hyrule was drowned forever. Thats why I think its the end in a time-line sense. Unless, in a Zelda based after WW we see a new bad guy stumble across the Master sword in a stone-Ganons head in a drowned Hyrule. He pulls it out, bringing Ganon to life again and Ganon says he owes his life to the new bad guy and the new bad guy raises Hyrule up from the water using some weird "The Master Sword has secret power" thing. Ganon then becomes the new bad guys underling through the game, until the new bad guy manages to finally turn Hyrule into the big evil place like Ganon always wanted. Then They could have a twist towards the end where Ganon gets fed up of the new bad guy and reveales he just used him to get where they are now then have some big three way Boss fight. Ganon vs Link vs New Bad guy.In the end though, I doubt it and I have a feeling Wind Waker is the end of the story in a Time-line sense.Agree with me about anything I've said?
BTW: Flash |
^^ I'll just say that with any videogame story, the developers can go in any direction they damn well please :p
|
I know. :p and I know there will be a ton more Zelda games in the future but judging by the ending in WW its the ending to the Zelda story but not the games. TP is based before WW and so is every other Zelda.
On a random note, how come everytime I read any interview with Shiageru Miyamoto he is always whining about how some game or other he made isn't what it should be? He also seems to like bad mouthing westrern gamers by saying we only like games that look pretty and are violent and said that DK country on the SNES sucked because it was all graphics and little else (although the levels where more varied than Mario World IMO and I think he was just jealous because Rare did more with DK on the SNES than he could do with Mario as far as Platformers go). Did you know they took two dungeons out of WW and rushed the end of the game because of "Time issues"? |
*** SPOILERS (kinda) ***
Twilight Princess: Ganon's Return We're preparing more than you could possibly ever, ever, expect, says Nintendo. by Matt Casamassina January 24, 2006 - A relatively important morsel of information about the hotly anticipated GameCube adventure The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess appeared in the latest issue of Nintendo Power. The magazine interviewed Nintendo's own Yoshiyuki Oyama, currently working on the new Zelda title, about the project, and while he was overall mum on specifics, he did confirm that long-time nemesis Ganon would be back in full force. More intriguing still, though, was the promise he made about the character. "No discussion of Twilight Princess' enemies can end without mentioning Ganon," Yoshiyuki said. "I know that everyone's wondering what's going on with Link's old nemesis. All I can say now is, we're preparing more than you could possibly ever, ever, expect." On a related subject, Yoshiyuki told the publication that he feels previous Zelda outings served up a cast of enemies that were too easily defeated. In contrast, he said that the enemies and bosses in Twilight Princess will be much more challenging, which should be music to the ears of some seasoned gamers. - cube.ign.com |
By the way Drakul, in the "timeline" of the Zelda series, the only confirmed games to take place before Wind Waker are OoT, MM, Minish Cap and Four Swords for GBA. The other ones could very well take place centuries later in the "new" Hyrule Zelda and Link will find.
|
I suppose.
Random question: Would anyone here ever dress as Link at a costume party of convention (if you are into that kinda thing) or whatever? |
I sure as hell would for a costume party. I don't do those conventions though :o

Nothing in the UK though :( Sheilds and swords are easy to come by though. |
I wouldn't wear that even if you paid me £1,000000000000.

I didn't receive my March NP yet. I'll read it when it comes.

New Twilight Princess Video (minor spoiler?):
How Link gets his sword. If you can't watch it but want to know whats on the clip, highlight to read: Link gets his first sword by "stealing" it from the village swordsman. You can now use your sword as you run. There seems to be more possible combos with your sword. Cuccos (chickens) are both brown and white now and can swim like ducks. |
5 new Vids.
http://www.gametrailers.com/gamepage.php?fs=1&id=2631 lol and one more thing. A funny little story about what happened when people where trying one of the puzzles in the game: Quote:

I'm actually glad they held out with this game for just Gamecube and have it coming to Wii with Wiimote controls added. Just makes me even more excited about the Wii and even mooooore excited about Zelda.
Long live Nintendo. |
