There are a ton of differences.
A) This was a low-card angle that got maybe one segment per week.
B) The Nash situation was different because of his freak injury.
C) Aries and Strong were never going to no-show the PPV. Whereas Hardy was too strung out to catch his flight, Austin and Rod were just fulfilling other obligations.
D) I honestly didn't even know that there was a Naturals/Aries/Strong match until I saw it on TNAWrestling.com the day of the PPV. They never mentioned it on television as far as I know, so I think that the "they advertised the match" argument is pretty week.
