Triple H for the win.

Can't stand CM Punk at all. He may be awesome in the ring, but he strikes me as being a dick.

Evolution 02-21-2006 09:31 PM

In a fuller answer, the Pepsi Plunge is a Pedigree off the top turnbuckle.

Side note: would he have to change the name of that seen as how WWE are more mainstream than where he came from (TNA? ROH?) and they don't want to be sued for unlawful use of a trademark or anything. Hell, Punk may have to start wearing something to cover his tattoo.

HeartBreakMan2k 02-21-2006 09:35 PM

He doesn't have to but he mostly likely will cover the tat, he would most definently need to change the name of the move I'm assuming though.

McLegend 02-21-2006 09:37 PM

Wouldn't it be free adversting though for Pepsi? And if so wouldn't Pepsi like that?

Depends on the gimmick.

He's not going to cover the tattoo.

He'll never cover the tat. The pepsi symbol is huge in the sxe culture (as it represents something that won't get you drunk or high).

He hasn't changed the name of the move in OVW yet, doubt they'll do it if he ever reaches the big time.

The great thing about Punk is that, unlike Nic Dinsmore, he already has a built-in "gimmick" because it's who he really is.

He's really deaf? :)

Funky Fly 02-22-2006 04:27 AM

How do you get "sxe" from "stright edge"?

I'm not into the whole hardcore thing.

Blitz 02-22-2006 04:31 AM

You add the x to make it punk.

What Would Kevin Do? 02-22-2006 04:34 AM

While we're on the subject, what the hell does brass knuckles have to do w/ being straight edge?

No, but it will eat away the inside of your stomach.

redoneja 02-22-2006 12:06 PM

There is also a minority in the Straightedge sub-culture that will stay away from Pepsi, or anything else with caffiene in it.

Classic WWE.
Classic Vince.

I don't know why I end up waxing nostalgic about WCW in times like this...

Nothing at all.

Ive always enjoyed Punks promos from what I have seen. He seems more natural at giving quality promos than 90% of the wwe's rooster

Three words: HUGE UGLY MOLE

Or knowing the WWE they may just digitally edit a picture of Mama Benjamin's head over it. Everybody knows that we need to see more of that woman...

It's not that the WWE stars can't give decent promos; it's because the fucking writers don't know how to make each character individual and give them individual lines and speech patterns.

RVD's promos have recently gotten much better because he's not using writers. Hopefully Punk will be given the same treatment, as he knows how to cut a promo, but anything can happen in the WWE.

I see so many people botching that if he gets to the big time.

Kane Knight 02-27-2006 12:20 AM

For those asking:

Pepsi Logo: No, he doesn't have to cover it up. Legally, there is no issue here.

Pepsi Plunge: Yes, legally, Pepsi could sue, as it create market confusion (It's assumed to be an endorsement, which is not something a tat is an issue with).

Straightedge: They add an X because they're retarded. Don't get me wrong, I don't drink or do drugs either, I just think the "hardcore" idiots who think they need to advertise it like they're in some club shoulder be retoractively aborted.

Skippord 02-27-2006 10:48 PM

X's make things cool duh

The Mackem 03-01-2006 01:12 PM

As much as CM Punk deserves to be in the limelight, I don't want to see him go to TNA again. He wasn't really pushed too much the last time he was there.

Gotta love the blame passing, it's brilliant. It's like an office with too many managers/supervisors and no communcation until something goes wrong.

Nark Order 03-01-2006 04:09 PM

Steve Corino > CM Punk
