Anybody Thrilla 08-10-2006 01:00 PM

What do you call that Stunneresque move that he does?

Chuck Jones 08-10-2006 03:24 PM

It's Nigel McGuiness' Tower of London.

Chavo Classic 08-10-2006 03:28 PM

Wassis? A gimmicked wrestler in ECW getting a good reception from smarks?

Nah, its all good. Ferig looks like he can carry himself in the ring and, as WWKD has already said, he's not a vampire as such so its not nearly a cringe-worthy. All it needs now is a bit of Heyman spin and realism and we'll have a star on our hands.

I saw Nigel McGuiness at the HWA show I went to last week. He definitely didn't do that move.

Afterlife 08-10-2006 04:32 PM

Which means he never has.

Do you see where I'm going with this?

As I said, the Zombie was intended as farce. While Styles and Taz mocked the Zombie as a contender and a fool, the Zombie's tru purpose was to poke fun at the Scifi BoD that were begging for a science fiction tone to the show. Thorn, OTOH, is in shape, has an imposing presence, and actually looks like a contender. Hence, referring to him as wrestling material.

Do I need to write the same thing in a longer paragraph? Or "do you see where I'm going with this"?

You can keep repeating that it was a farce, but that's understood. What you don't seem to understand is that explaining that doesn't make it any less ironic, the point is only really ironic because of that.

So you can repeat it again if you want, but all you're really proving is that the answer to "do you see where I'm going with this?" Was no.

....What? :wtf:

Anybody Thrilla 08-10-2006 05:03 PM

Kane Knight has a way of paying attention to the gayest parts of sentences.

Afterlife 08-10-2006 05:07 PM

I know. But if you try to tell him that, you're in the wrong.

Anybody Thrilla 08-10-2006 05:08 PM

Winning wrestling arguments is all he has going for him. Don't steal his essence!

You see, this is part of what makes it ironic.

They play up one gimmicky character as a farce, and play up another as having a home. They take a string of these guys and mock them for having no place in eCW. Then they have Fertig debut in a gimmick that's not only similar to one they've already used (albeit less retarded), but in a similar fashion to the stuff they've already labeled as not belonging.

It's not ironic because it ignores the intent behind the characters. It's ironic because the intent is to now push a concept which you had similarly devalued over a series of weeks. I understand why Vegas doesn't get it, lacking basic english skills as is often the case with negroes, but you strike me as, well, white. :shifty:

Anybody Thrilla 08-10-2006 05:35 PM

Vegas hasn't posted in this thread. Not even once.

Afterlife 08-10-2006 05:38 PM

I guess my trouble is that I don't see what irony has to do with anything here, Whiteness notwithstanding. I just kinda get the vibe that you don't get what I'm saying.

Zombie was intended as a joke, and made to be cartoonish and lame.

Thorn is admittedly "villain"-like, in a pseudo-howo style, but is based on an actual -- thought fairly uncommon -- lifestyle.

Both ideas are based in the scifi catgory, but are about as related as Scooby-Doo and Stephen King.

No, I get what you are saying, I just don't agree. Or, in the words of John Cena, "nigga please."

Between Xero and Sadistic?

Xero 08-10-2006 06:57 PM

Oh, come on, EVERYONE knows I'm sadistic by now. If they don't, they're stupid.

Afterlife 08-10-2006 07:04 PM

I was going for between "A direct answer" and "What KK says when someone else is right."

Xero 08-10-2006 07:06 PM

So I suppose you're gay?

Not that I care. I'm just wondering if your manhood is going to crumble because you're so insecure.

Vocal Ass Chic 08-10-2006 07:07 PM

No, I think you're actually like Vermaat... a genuine dumb, retarded newbie. Get the fuck out the forum!

Xero 08-10-2006 07:08 PM

No.

You're actually a bit higher on the stupid scale. WWEFan4Lyfe would be my guess.

You know, claiming things are original in a sarcastic way is less original than anything you can add it to.

I see where the sticking point is. You've assumed that, just because I do not agree, I did not understand.

Way to not answer the question and sound like a pompous tool. :y:

Kane Knight 08-10-2006 08:24 PM

Ironic, since asking something which is essentially "how can you not see things my way?" Is the act of a pompous tool. Do you ever tire of being a hypocrite?
