LDM do you have a 360?
|
No, PS3. Red Ring of Death stories has prevented me from buying one. So I steal my sisters boyfriend's 360 when I wanna play one. Thats how I beat Mass Effect
Plus, Blu Ray = Win. |
:n:
|
That and, I can't really afford a 2nd console right now, stupid budget cuts making me get laid off :'(
|
damn that sucks :(
|
Nice demo, tad on the easy side. Nero's nice but I can't wait to tear it up as Dante.
|
The boss is bad fucking ass
|
I just Downloaded it on the PS3. TBH, If I get it, it'll be for the 360, but I didn't want to have to wait another week to DL it. I'll play itlater. Catching Psych. But it took like four hours to download.
|
So how do you beat that fire demon fucker.
|

What sucks is that there's no restart. Gotta do it all over again. |
Use the Devil Bringer to remain airborne as you slash at Berial. When his fire is out and he's down, use the DB again for exclusive badass attacks. And look for green orbs dropped from destroyed buildings.
|
I went after his back legs with a couple of meele attacks and gunshots, then used devil bringer to pull him down to my level and slash away at his head.
10 minutes isn't enough in this demo, I need the full game so bad :'( |
I just paid off the Special Edition (comes with the 1st Vol. of the anime) and now I wait for Tuesday. Mind you I never get SE of any game, but a game/DVD comes off pretty attractive.

Only a few days to go :'(
|
I never really played the other ones but I'm loving this so far... even if my fingers kill rom rapid button presses...
|
Don't be surprised if you see me on Live playing DMC4 all the time. I put hours upon hours of time into DMC3. I'd play it till I get stuck somewhere then just start from stage one again as self punishment and build up my abilities until I return to whatever boss and take them on. I'm a whore for red orbs, and even after maxing out a character its on to the Bloody Palace for the rest of my days.
My guys are gonna have to tear me off for some other multiplayer games. |
Stupid shipping!!! Have to wait another day!!
|
I heard abilities carry over, so Dante Must Die mode might actually be manageable.
|
:)
As I hold the metallic case in hand, I sit victorious. |
Finished it. Fucking incredible. Tempted to buy a PS2 for the other 3 now.
|
Just one more day :'(
|
Kinda sorta stuck in DMC's version of a 'Lost Forest'. Playing as Dante now. Very frustrated and I decided to take a breather. Logged nearly 10 hours so far.
|
My first little while with Dante made me miss the Devil Bringer, as I had trouble stringing coherent combos with his various styles. I can say now that I'm 'Stylin' up and down these missions. Dante's an addict... and the drug is murder.
|
8.0 from gamespot. Definately just gonna rent it a couple of times.
|
I give it a 9, holding back 10 on the count that Virgil isn't in the game.
[Kalyx triaD is a well documented DMC fanboy] |
Yeah, but having no Virgil is no biggy. This game is sort of the prequel to the first three, so having Virgil turn up any sooner than he did wouldn't really do much storyline wise.
Anyway, just got back from work and about to play it. Got the shiney collectors tin with art book AND I got a free tshirt aswell :) |

I ain't get no shirt!
Pandora is well on its way to being my fave weapon. Lucifer's a bit complicated; need to train somemore. |
For Extreme Angle regarding an XBL request:
In DMC1 we meet Dante, a demon hunting half-demon who owns the Devil May Cry office. He is the son of the Legendary Dark Knight Sparda, a demon who saved mankind and even served as a feudal lord for a town called Fortuna long ago (appearently). Dante loves pizza, one day work weeks, and killing demons. He jests in the face of danger and refers to a good brawl as a 'party', partly because it'll take alot to kill him and mostly because he's damn good at what he does. But like other super-characters, the kink in Dante's armor lies in some more internal. Early on we meet Trish, a sexy demon-bitch made in the image of Dante's mother (awkward) sent by the demon king Mundus to lead Dante into a trap on some island. After kicking ass on that island abit Dante squares off against an unusually honorable demon knight named Nelo Angelo. After two battles Nelo is revealed to be Virgil, Dante's twin brother (we'll get to their past later). Dante defeats his bro, setting him free from Mundus' control, and takes his half of an amulet given to them by their mother. Mundus using Dante's mother's image and twin brother against him is enough to piss off the demon hunter. Dante beats Mundus and releases Trish from his control. Trish becomes Dante's partner for a time and even gets to use his father's sword Sparda. Lucky her. Take solace in the fact that their relationship never plays on romance. DMC2 never happened. In DMC3 we go back to Dante as a young buck just opening his shop (not named Devil May Cry yet). Dante is lured once again to a trap set up by his twin bro Virgil, with assistance from a man named Arkham. Dante gladly accepts his invitation to the 'bash' and eventually meets Lady, another demon hunter who's after Arkham specifically. Dante fights his way to his bro and gets owned. Virgil takes Dante's half of the amulet, which he needs to open the demon world portal and take Sparda's power for himself. Dante recovers, and finds that the devil in him has awakened (granting him the Devil Trigger ability). Dante ventures further and finds that Lady is Arkham's daughter on a mission to kill him for the murder of her mother. Arkham is the main villain as he only wanted to lure Dante, Lady, and Virgil together to undo the spell Sparda cast - opening the portal to the demon world ("Even going as far as dressing like a complete idiot!"). When they learn that all three of them were pawns, its already too late. The portal opens and Arkham takes Sparda's power. Dante and Virgil work together to take out Arkham, and head to the demon world to face off. Meanwhile, Lady shoots Arkham until she runs out of bullets. Virgil fights Dante for his half of the amulet, but loses. Virgil accepts defeat and declares he keeps his amulet, "It belongs to a Son of Sparda." Virgil stays in the demon world, and Dante returns home. The lost of his brother gets Dante teary eyed, and Lady contemplates that even a Devil May Cry when they lose a loved one. Dante opens shop. In DMC4 we meet Nero, a kid with a demonic arm called the Devil Bringer. In Fortuna, Nero is a part of the Order of the Sword. They worship Sparda like a God, but during a special mass Dante crashes the party and starts killing people, starting with the pastor. This has Nero hunting him down for alot of the game. But Nero learns that the order he's been working for isn't who they appear to be, and Dante isn't the enemy. Dante, meanwhile, came by Fortuna in the first place to get back Virgil's katana Yamato. Ass kickin ensues. The rest is for you to play. |
ok cheers Kalyx. I pretty much get the drift of it...
I'm guessing this nero guy is related to dante somehow, but i'll guess i'll just have to play... |

I liked DMC 2 just fine, if for nothing else, just because it wasn't a bad GAME, merely a less than stellar DMC game. But it was definitely the forgettable one of the series. |
I'm decent with Lucifer, but not yet badass. Still need to get comfortable with it enough to use it 'as a game in itself' if you can get that.
|
He's right DMC2 never happened, it was terrible, the only good thing about it was the bloody palace.
Pretty sure i'm now going to buy an Xbox purely because I want this game |
I'm so gripped by the story at the moment, I really want to save Kyrie :'( Just on the part where you control Dante, I sure missed some of his abilities, its like saying hello to an old friend. Saying that, I'm really missing the devil bringer, that thing is bad ass.
Also, whoever sings that song during the opening cutscene and when you want to upgrade stuff, has to be a real angel, that voice is something else :'( |
I may have to wait for this game for a few months, heard there might be a price drop on the the 360 the same weekend GTA4 comes out.
Cheeky buggers! |
Cleared Level 20 in Bloody Palace.
Got the last level of Sword Master Style... Dante's an animal. |
Hey kids; hottest DMC4 chick... GO!

we spoke on this already...Lady, hands down. On a side note, beating this final boss is pissing me off. I break his shell, but i cant bring him down for attacks. FUCKIN FUCKER!
