Well I'm just interpreting the accusation that he has no moves other than his catch-phrase. Even the Diva Search contestants have some kind of movesets.

Londoner 05-07-2007 08:29 PM

Tucon- I honestly don't remember his move set and still waiting for someone to tell me what moves he does,

The One 05-07-2007 08:30 PM

Move 1: A punch. :shifty:

DarKCentaur 05-07-2007 08:41 PM

You know, as somebody who actually thinks Kennedy is a good wrestler with a huge upside, I haven't heard ANYBODY give ANY reason why he's not a good wrestler.

Londoner 05-07-2007 08:49 PM

^ He has barely any moves& hasn't had a match that has entertained me yet. Have you not read the thread?

The One 05-07-2007 08:51 PM

He's a wrestling fan, he says stuff without regard to fact and certainly doesn't let the details of 2 minutes ago get in the way...

Better Than You 05-07-2007 08:55 PM

The "he deosn't have a move set" is the weakest argument of all time. Especially coming from a fan of Kevin Nash.

...especially when you consider that if he were to have a large moveset it would near impossible to name it.

Also, Hogan has never entertained me. Unfortunatly he IS one of the greatest of all time. So just because you don't like Kennedy doesn't hes bad.

It's a pretty shitty argument all around.

Londoner 05-07-2007 08:56 PM

Better Than You- Tell us his move set then. I didn't say he doesn't have one, just that i can't remember it. READ POSTS PROPERLY DAMNIT.

Mr. JL 05-07-2007 08:56 PM

He does that move where he has a guy on his shoulders and does a front flip. He also has a crappier version of the swanton bomb.

Ah yeah i remember now, but thats about it. Not good for a guy who's supposed to main event wrestlemania next year.

Better Than You 05-07-2007 08:58 PM

LOL, by moveset you mean finishes. K.

Londoner 05-07-2007 09:02 PM

No, by moveset i mean what moves he uses in the whole match. Still can't name any either eh?

Blitz 05-07-2007 09:04 PM

lol TL. Are you joking.

Londoner 05-07-2007 09:05 PM

Nope, can not remember, his matches bore me that much.

Blitz 05-07-2007 09:06 PM

Whose your favourite WWE wrestler, TL.

Fine, then let's work the two examples you gave...

KEVIN NASH: A god on the mic, one of the most entertaining characters of the 90's, and unquestionably one of the top draws during the hay day of WCW.

Hogan: Unquestionable charismatic (I don't get it, but the numbers are in, most wrestling fans are retarded I guess). Huge draw, and had people eating out of the palm of his hand...

Mr. Kennedy: The only thing he has going for him (I've said nothing of his move set since I don't much care about those things) is his "...Kennedy" thing. Which, uh, great. The best thing he can do is introduce himself. Of course once he's asked to cut a promo or do a match after that... :shifty: ...maybe he can say Kennedy again?

Don't miss the point all at once.

Mr. JL 05-07-2007 09:08 PM

Wait... he also has

MIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIISSSSSSSSSSSTEEEEEER KENNEDY.....

....this joke is overplayed... OVERPLAYED!!

Are you retarded. I've said I don't care about move set, and posed that the ONLY thing he has going for him as a character, wrestler, or personality is the unique way in which he introduces himself...which fine...Road Dogg got over doing that, of course for my money Road Dogg was more fun to watch in the ring, but the point is Jesse was never anywhere near the Main Event. Kennedy is lined up to win the Title. So if you have a point to counter ANY of this, go ahead and share, but until then, shut the fuck up.

Road Dogg vs. Ken Kennedy at Wrestlemania in a self ring introduction contest.

Do you actually watch Smack Down? Or do you just see it in passsing? Because yourself, KoOS and TL all have something in comon, you constantly seem to mention that you don't. Answer that and we'll take it from there.

You avoided the actual quesiton i asked, genious. You gave an answer which basically compared Hogan to Kennedy which is just fucking stupid. And i don't care if he has loads of moves, just wanted somebody to name some, and explain why he's so entertaining...all you really like is his entrance, be honest.

I watch Smackdown, not every week because most of the time nothing interests me (ie:Kennedy).

But wait I don't get a boner over a guy who says his name twice, so I obviously don't know anything.

Pepsi Man 05-07-2007 09:20 PM

I do agree that I notice variety in moves from Kennedy. Neckbreakers, DDTs, that "Greenbay Plunge", the "Kenton Bomb", and of course the regular moves like slams, suplexes, armdrags and whatnot.

Kennedy may not be Chris Jericho or Shawn Michaels, but he's not Bill Goldberg either.

The One 05-07-2007 09:21 PM

I use to watch SmackDown every week, now I watch it in extreme moderation. And for review, the last time I tried to sit down and watch it, Kennedy put me to sleep...literally. So really the fact that I didn't make it through the entire episode was quite actually his fault. Once SmackDown gives me something to care about (Black Power Ranger/Benoit is BARELY doing it for me) then I'll watch more regularly. But so long as Big Dave, Kennedy...Kennedy, and the rest of the nearly worthless SmackDown roster continue to be anything but impressive, I chose to spend my time elsewhere. But yeah, the fact that I dislike the product enough to not watch it means I forfit my right to an opinion.

I watch smackdown every week just about though recently have not been bothered with it as much.

Pepsi Man 05-07-2007 09:27 PM

I respect people's right not to like Kennedy or even to call him overrated, but I really do fail to see the lack of move variety that he's been accused of in this thread. It just seems like that's an easy shot to take at almost anyone these days "he has no moves", because a lot of the newer guys don't seem to have "trademark" moves, like say Bret Hart's Backbreaker, Piledriver, Russian Legsweep, Driving Elbow from the second rope, etc., Owen's Enziguri, Neckbreaker, Missile Dropkick, etc., Shawn's Flying Elbow Drop, Macho Man's Piledriver, Flair's chest chops and chopblocks, Benoit's German Suplexes, Triple H's knee lift, Knee Drop, facebuster, and things like that.

If anyone didn't follow that whole post, I don't blame you, and I apologize for rambling.

Londoner 05-07-2007 09:28 PM

^ Pepsi man I never said he didn't have any moves, just non that really entertained me or made me remember his matches. Forgot about his finisher though, that I like.

The One 05-07-2007 09:31 PM

I don't care how big someone's move set is: The Rock had like 5 moves, but he could wrestle for an hour and I wouldn't get bored (sure he was up against HHH which never hurts, but still). Move sets are WAY overrated, pacing a match and making it exciting can be done with a move set the size of Rock's or Malenko's. Kennedy, regardless of the size of his move set, fails at making it interesting.

Are you talking about the "Green Bay Plunge"?

Blitz, GO FUCKING DIE!

Also...please make note of his use of the word "barely", so you really proved his point. A dumb point to begin with, but never the less...
