The game looks awesome, but it didn't look much different than Resident Evil 4 to me.

You still had your same basic enemies. You had the evil worm-lookin' things busting out of people's heads, the guys with the chainsaw, and the same basic zombies.

Regardless, I'll probably pick this up as soon as I can afford to take out a mortgage on a Playstation 3!

Shit this game looks hot. Wesker's back in a big way. This looks more connected to the mythology than part 4.

Downloaded the demo from Demonoid and burnt it to a cdr and it works. :cool: It's all in English too. and HOLY SHIT it's fucking hard. One stage you have to deal with a shitload of villagers and the Executioner with his giant Axe at the same time. I died. Definately some frustrating moments in this game.

I was thinking today, the villagers are cool and all but they should have added zombies too. Have like a stage of villagers and a stage of zombies and then both at the same time and shit.

Cannot fucking wait. I hope it isn't mostly in daylight like the trailer is. I want to bring the scary back. :(

Fucking awesome. Never was a resident evil fan, til I played 4. That game was immense. It was really fulfilling too, as it was MUCH longer than I originaly thought it would be. Like, when I fought the village chief, I was like "Alright, final boss, here we go."

Wrong, Fignuts. Wrong.

Hopefully this one follows suit.

To be fair, only like, two of the original RE games were actually worth a shit anyway. The series was definitely starting to drown in its own regurgitated vomit by the time 4 rolled around, so it was not only totally awesome in its own right, but it was also a breath of fresh air.

And it really kicked off Capcom's "Eat It Motherfuckers, We Kick Ass" tour. Seriously, so much of my fucking money is going to Capcom right now, it's preposterous.

The cpu AI on Sheva is kinda iffy. Sometimes she just stands there and gets grabbed. Hope they fix that.

Does anyone have any information on a Limited Edition? I just checked and it says there is one but no info. The only info is for a Japanese LE but I doubt we would get the same as Japan.

Demo hits Marketplace next week I think.

Nice. I'm a sucker for Limited Edition anything. I have the LE Mass Effect (Which, looking back, wasn't worth it but it was very cheap) and I've pre ordered the LE Street Fighter IV. Providing it's price isn't too high, I'll get the RE5 LE. Though, I have a friends birthday in March so I may have to stick to the standard edition.

The latest trailer for download on the 360 says the 26th of January. So, just 3 days away. A section on UK 360s called "SentUAMessage" says the demo will have some co-op to try out.

Ars Technica have a 360 mole, who's previously been fairly solid, so we'll run with this: Capcom and Microsoft have teamed up to offer a special edition Resident Evil 5 Xbox 360. And that console will come as part of a larger bundle, a bundle that includes:

I love my 360. I really do. And I may go for this one, since I need a new one anyways.

But half of me wonders how many jokes we'll see about MS making the console red in order to hide the RROD. :shifty:

I downloaded the demo today but I haven't really played it yet. I played about 2 minutes of it before I had to stop to do other stuff. I played RE4 on the Wii so I'm a bit surprised at how slowly aiming is done without a Wii Remote. It takes away from the sense of urgency when an enemy is approaching. Then again, I don't think I've played enough to make a definite decision. It also doesn't feel as satisfying gunning down these enemies as it did for the RE4 enemies.

I'm pretty tired after a busy day so I'm putting my first impressions of RE5 down to being too tired to appreciate and enjoy the demo. I'll try again tomorrow, probably.

It went up for download in the UK at midday.

Also in the US. I am just now putting it on my queue from Xbox.com and I guess I'll start downloading whenever I sign on the 'Box later. Can't wait, but I got some serious homework for the day.

Also, it seems that the demo is exclusive to Gold Members.
