Fuck yeah Ghost Squad looks good.

When is the zapper due out?

Don't know on your side of the pond, but the Zapper attachment and the Ghost Squad game come out same day over hear, the 20th or something.

So since it's 20 for the zapper and 30 for GS, it's the same price as a complete game if you buy both. PLus you get that gay little crossbow training pack in.

Kane Knight 11-13-2007 11:24 AM

11/19 for the crosbow game, 11/20 for GS.

For Europe, it's 07/12, and Fourth Quarter for GS.

Kane Knight 11-13-2007 01:09 PM

Piked Up Galaxy. Probably won't play til later, though.

I shouldn't have, but...

Vietnamese Crippler 11-13-2007 02:05 PM

Hmmm, I don't know whether I should get this today or wait until Black Friday next week and try to get it for $35 :-\

PapaGeorgio 11-13-2007 05:14 PM

So think it was mentioned earlier in thread but to lazy. Toys R Us got the 25 dollar gift card with the game. Plan to buy a few copies, get the gift cards, buy some more and just flip em on ebay.

G 11-13-2007 06:18 PM

^Pretty sure you can only get one.

KingofOldSchool 11-13-2007 10:15 PM

Yeah 1 per customer, but they can't stop you from coming back a day after or so and buying another.

Vietnamese Crippler 11-13-2007 11:37 PM

I would go to Toys R Us, but there isn't a Toys R Us anywhere near me :o

PapaGeorgio 11-14-2007 12:20 AM

So yeah brought some mates with me to help with my plan. They weren't selling copies, only distributing pre-sales. The people who work there looked retarded though, so I left happy either way.

Kris P Lettus 11-14-2007 09:44 AM

I bought it and it's pretty sweet.. It's kinda like 64 on gameplay alone, but each board is a galaxy.. Like you still have to do the little missions, to get stars, but you have to go from planet to planet.. The bad guys are pretty similar and it has the classic Mario "look" but it's just different.. Hard to explain.. It's def fun and I'm sure I'll get used to the "newness" of it..

Kris P Lettus 11-14-2007 09:45 AM

Oh yeah, and what was the update my Wii had to do before I played it??

p.s. the graphics are freakin sweet..

Dave Youell 11-14-2007 09:51 AM

That bugs me about having to do updates before you play games

I know a few guys who don't have there Wii's online, sounds like they would be screwed

Kris P Lettus 11-14-2007 09:59 AM

I don't have wireless at the house and it still updated..

I think it's something embedded into that game..

Dave Youell 11-14-2007 10:14 AM

ooooOOOOOH

Kris P Lettus 11-14-2007 10:18 AM

It might be a graphics up date or something b/c the griphics look alot "crisper" than any other game I've played on Wii..

KK, is that game (with the Zapper) worth getting?? I've been looking forward to the Zapper, but is the game good?? Is it gonna be compatible with games like Call of Duty/Medal of Honor?? Metroid??

Yeah, replace paintings with worlds.

Also, GS is a very fun game. It's short, though there are branching paths and playing out each path will take longer, but it's an arcade shooter and definitely not worth a full 50. Thankfully, for thirty bucks, I think it's worth a pick up. The Zapper comes separate though (Except in Japan, evidently), packed in with Link's Crossbow training. You can get it alone, but if you do, it costs the same as with Crossbow training ( :wtf: ).

I can honestly say I don't know about compatability with previous titles. The Zapper module is basically just a case you snap the Wiimote et Nunchuck into, but the way you hold the Zapper kind of makes the A, +/- buttons and D-Pad less accessible. So technically, it would work, but not necessarily if the game is heavy on the top buttons being used. At least, it looks it. I don't know for sure yet.

Dave Youell 11-14-2007 10:41 AM

According to the Nintendo mag I get, the zapper will work with the new medal of honour game coming out and Umbrella Cronicles, guess it wouldn’t work that well with Metroid though, as you have to flick the numbchuck itself.

And I’ve heard they will bring out shooters on the VC, duck hunt baby!

Kris P Lettus 11-14-2007 10:57 AM

Duck Hunt

This guy reviews the game much better than I did but that's prolly because it's his job..

Kane Knight 11-14-2007 12:15 PM

They've been rumoring Duck Hunt since the Wii came out.

However, if you look at the ESRB site, there's proof that it'll be coming out (They had it rated for the Wii).

The one thing I'll say that he touched upon, and I really want to underscore is that yes, this is one of the best games for utilising the Wiimote functions. It feels organic, instead of forced.

Destor 11-14-2007 12:49 PM

I'm loving this right now.

So what games should I buy for my WII??

Destor 11-14-2007 01:14 PM

Zelda, this, maybe Metroid, Big Brain. Maybe other things...

Funky Fly 11-14-2007 05:21 PM

Holy crap, I want to have sex with that game.

Loose Cannon 11-14-2007 05:24 PM

there's a little game called Smash Brothers Bral coming in Feb you may want to check out

Funky Fly 11-14-2007 05:37 PM

Yeah, I'm gonna cheat on this game with that one.

Better yet, I will try and get a 3some going.

Kris P Lettus 11-14-2007 07:56 PM

Yeah, this is f'n sweeeeeet..

Kinda easy but I'm only like 5 galaxies in..

Def worth buying if you own a Wii..

G 11-15-2007 09:41 PM

My 360 got the 3 red lights, so I bought this to tie my over until I get it back. It's awesome. So much like 64 but with a planet you run around on. I came right here after I turned it off, and I swear the screen looked like a sphere and it was turning when I was scrolling down. You should try it, great eye trick.

Kris P Lettus 11-15-2007 11:34 PM

This game moves pretty fast.. Like, I've put prolly four hours into it and already opened like atleast 10 galaxies..

It is a sweet game..

Vietnamese Crippler 11-16-2007 12:09 AM

Well, the review on IGN says the quest to the minimum number of stars to finish the game is pretty easy. Getting to 120 is the real challenge.

G 11-16-2007 09:16 AM

Then getting the secret at the 120 stars, and having to redo it all over again to get the 121 star in the secret galaxy will take some time.

G 11-16-2007 09:17 AM

As long as none of the stars require you to collect 100 coins in each level, it shouldn't be that bad.

Destor 11-16-2007 09:29 AM

Can anyone confirm or deny the 100 coin star? It seems outlandish to ask you to get 100 coins this time around. Has anyone reached 100 yet?

Kris P Lettus 11-16-2007 10:09 AM

I've "beaten" galaxies and that wasn't one of the stars.. You do have to find 5 star pieces like the blue coins though..

Destor 11-16-2007 10:19 AM

Have you gotten 100 coins though?

Kris P Lettus 11-16-2007 10:26 AM

Yes..

100 Coins = 1UP

50 Star Bits = 1UP
