No, it is pretty apparent. You're missing the irony, but if you weren't, your posts wouldn't be so ironic (For example, calling me predictable while launching into your usual rants that are so predictable, they have their own name).

In short: It's not mysterious to thinking people; just you.

Back to topic: the movie's gonna be mindless brain-candy, but it can't be any worse than the video-game flicks Uwe Boll puts out.

Of course it can't, but Uwe Boll is filmmaking's "Godwin's Law." Even other notoriously horrible filmmakers are at least considered "quirky" or "Charming."

There theres something for you to go research while your episodes of Torchwood are downloading you fat fucking fuck.

loopydate 01-09-2008 01:13 PM

Jon Kano 01-12-2008 05:12 AM

ok?

Blitz 03-19-2008 08:33 PM

So there was another thread on this I couldn't find, but casting thus far is:

Michael Clarke Duncan as Balrog
Chris Klein as Charlie
Neal McDonough as M. Bison
Taboo of the Black Eyed Peas (!) as Vega

The first 2 I'm ok with. The last 2...not so much.

CSL 03-19-2008 11:00 PM

Oh ffs Chris Klein

Not actually sure why I'm complaining since I couldn't care less about this movie

Kristin Kreuk is wow

Skippord 03-19-2008 11:55 PM

I support this Neil McDonough casting

that guy rules

D Mac 03-20-2008 01:06 AM

Allison Mack is hotter.

Blitz 03-20-2008 02:07 AM

Diesel Mac is correct.

Also I guess I don't mind McDonough so much, but Taboo? As Vega? Fuck's sake, man.

D Mac 03-20-2008 06:01 AM

Seems like Chloe is more fun than Lana.

Impact! 03-20-2008 09:04 AM

LOL at this thread

Kalyx triaD 03-20-2008 05:43 PM

LOL indeed.

I'd destroy Allison Mack, BTW.

D Mac 03-21-2008 03:21 AM

She's cuter, face it.

Kalyx triaD 03-21-2008 03:43 AM

Destroy = Ferocious Sex

D Mac 03-21-2008 04:21 AM

Oh

Impact! 03-21-2008 07:21 AM

rofl

D Mac 03-21-2008 08:31 AM

D Mac 03-26-2008 06:07 AM

More have been cast.

http://movies.ign.com/articles/861/861951p1.html

Kristin Kreuk | Chun-Li -- Most famous for playing Lana Lang on The CW's Smallville, Kristin Kreuk plays the film's main character, Chun-Li. Will she be rocking the trademark "ox horn" hairdo? We've yet to find out. We've seen Kreuk fight on Smallville plenty of times and she's no slouch. Also, she's like totally hot. It works for us.

- L. Cohen/WireImage.com

Neal McDonough | M. Bison -- You might recognize McDonough from bit parts in films such as The Hitcher remake, Flags of Our Fathers and as Lieutenant Hawk in Star Trek: First Contact. He was also in Band of Brothers. The guy has just the right look to play Psycho Power-using villain exponent M. Bison.

- Alexandra Wyman/WireImage.com

Chris Klein | Nash -- Marine Charlie Nash will played by American Pie and Election star Chris Klein. He's totally not blonde like the game character, but that's an easy fix. In fact, as long as he doesn't transform into a mutated beast like in the prior version, we're willing to forgive just about anything.
http://moviesmedia.ign.com/movies/im...5051447972.jpg

Micheal Clark Duncan | Balrog -- Academy Award-nominated actor Michael Clarke Duncan, star of The Green Mile and Armageddon, seems well cast as boxer Balrog. First of all, he's freakin' huge. And Clarke Duncan's former-career training as a bodyguard for the likes of LL Cool J and Notorious B.I.G., will no doubt come in handy. We can't wait to see him do a Buffalo Headbutt.
http://moviesmedia.ign.com/movies/im...5051446831.jpg

Taboo | Vega -- Taboo, whose real name is Jamie Luis Gomez, from the Black Eyed Peas will play vain Spaniard Vega. We can't speak for his acting ability, but Taboo is a good fit for the part in many ways. His dance moves are often Kung-Fu inspired and he's known to be a practitioner of Bruce Lee's Jeet Kune Do martial arts system. He shouldn't have any trouble adapting to Vega's arranged ninjutsu style, and we expect him to wear the mask and claws well.
http://moviesmedia.ign.com/movies/im...5051444940.jpg

Rick Yune | Gen -- Asian American actor Rick Yune, who has previously appeared in Die Another Day and The Fast and the Furious, will play master assassin Gen. At age 36, the good-looking Yune wouldn't have been our first pick for the gnarled, mystical warrior. They've either substantially younged-up the character for the movie or Yune is going to be in make-up for a long time.

Those are the main members of the cast, but we've also learned that Chinese actress Josie Ho will star in an as-yet-unknown role.

Kalyx triaD 03-26-2008 12:35 PM

Neal's gonna nail Bison, BET. He has fun being a badguy, and you have little choice but to ham up a psycho-powered madman.

Jon Kano 03-26-2008 03:31 PM

LOL

Kalyx triaD 04-23-2008 05:05 PM

He's Back:

Mortal Kombat's Robin Shou is officially cast as Gen, Hell there are already pics of him in character.

Thumbs way up. I was just wondering what the Hell he was doing these days.

I am very happy with the cast.

Here Comes A New(er) Challenger:

Here's Moon Bloodgood (her real name) as Det. Maya Sunee, a new character made for the upcoming Street Fighter movie.

A time when the world will forget they attmpted to try and do this fuckin' thing.

U-Warrior 05-14-2008 02:05 AM

The problem with casting Vega, is that the character is supposed to be from spain, yet looks absolutely nothing like someone from spain.

Kalyx triaD 05-23-2008 04:11 PM

Chun-Li Revealed, And A Belated Gen Pic:

http://moviesmedia.ign.com/movies/im...3000719487.jpg

Not in any costume or anything, but it looks like she seen some action. Kristin Kreuk looks great.

http://moviesmedia.ign.com/movies/im...2015101564.jpg

Robin Shou adds alot of martial arts cred to the cast.

Jon Kano 05-26-2008 03:45 PM

lol she looks nothing like Chun-Li.

I really cannot wait until everyone comes back to this thread and all will know it Was Kano who foretold the shitness of this.

Kalyx triaD 05-26-2008 05:55 PM

Hugh Jackman.

That is all.

Just because she doesn't have the same haircut as in the game for the entire movie?

Jon Kano 05-26-2008 10:45 PM

No, because if there is at all any Chinese/Eastern heritage in that bitch's bloodline, its been seriously demolished by some Western fucker who probably had one up on her grand mother.

Now, I don't want to get into the logistics of how bad and why this film WILL suck, and it will.

I'm rather more perplexed at the amount of people who think its going to be good.

U-Warrior 05-26-2008 10:55 PM

Well, I never said it would be good, but I'm at least giving it a chance. No one here is expecting cinematic brilliance, but it could be good a popcorn action movie.

Jon Kano 05-26-2008 11:02 PM

Ok well I guess what I am trying to suggest is that it won't even be that.

Kalyx triaD 05-27-2008 01:37 AM

Hater.

Jon Kano 05-27-2008 01:47 AM

dont hate the player, son, its the game, the game!

Kalyx triaD 05-27-2008 01:50 AM

...Street Fighter 4?

Juan 05-27-2008 02:07 AM

Lui Kang!!!

Jon Kano 05-27-2008 02:13 AM

Exactly, I'd much rather see Robin Shou making a decent MK sequel, which with the right money and director, they can.

LOL think I remember reading on some MK fan site, which looked quite reliable, that shooting for a 3rd MK would begin in fall 2005 lol and that was quoted from Shou at some loser film awards thing.

Kalyx triaD 05-27-2008 02:21 AM

Mortal Kombat Devastation was supposed to be under way recently.

The Mackem 05-27-2008 02:32 AM

Wait a minute, there were other films after the first?
