Basically, a difference of opinion arose, and we're debating it.

Yeah, better explanation. :y:

The only other famous case of a "no contest" plea I can think of was OJ on a charge prior to the murders, and I think the general public judgment of him prior to any evidence against him being disclosed validates the idea of a public figure pleading no contest.

Which goes to emphasize the rush to judgement which VEL seems to be swept up in.

Ok, for once a Kane Knight quote thats helpful.

If he was really innocent, he would have fought it, it would have been much better for his image to be found "innocent".

So, I guess we should assume that the welts on her neck when the police show'd up she did to herself?

Really, I know he's your "hero" and all... but he screwed up big time. There are certain lines you don't cross and for people then to ridicule her for selling the ring and giving part to a worthwhile charity...

*Yawns*... I agree with VAL. Simply because you see Stone Cold on TV every week doesn't mean he can can just run around & do whatever he wants. If he beats up a woman half his size, he should pay the price. I havn't seen one thing in this scandal that has said that Stone Cold didn't beat up his wife. I live in a lil redneck town in West Virginia, & this sort of thing happens all the time here. My GF actually comes from a household where this happened all the time. I know I'm going to get flak from all sides for saying this, but I'm just going to ignore anything that's said. I'm not going to be sucked into an argument over something as stupid as this :| .

Yes, it would have been better if he was found innocent. And if he was instead found guilty?

A lot of people aren't willing to take that chance, especially with prejudicial topic matters like abuse.

It's funny that VEL says that for once, my post was helpful, but can't seem to wrap his head around it.

I wish I lived in his romantic fantasy world, where the innocent always got off scot free.

So wait...Your girlfriend was abused, which means that Debrah's automatically a victim?

Talk about fantasy worlds...

BTW, hold no illusions that I like Austin.

However, logic like "If he was innocent, why would he plead no contest" is stupid and foolish.
