I actually thought the opposite. I thought Eddie would be up by more to be honest. I kind of figured TPWW is more of an "Attitude Era and beyond" website meaning the popular vote lies within that era.

And actually, I think there's only a handful of guys that can probably take down Eddie on this site.

Eddie gets my vote yet again.

I voted for Randy Savage because he shouted.

Afterlife 03-24-2008 09:50 AM

I have no 'moments' from Savage. Quite a few from Eddie.

BigDaddyCool 03-24-2008 11:00 AM

Randy Savage is epitome of wrestlers. He would shout and spit and wear flashy colors and go "OOOOOOOOOOOOOooooooh yeah." When ever a saturday morning cartoon show would have an epidose where the main character would call wrestling fake, then wrestler that would beat the main character up was always a masked Randy Savage knock off.

Afterlife 03-24-2008 12:00 PM

Yes, but Savage IS a fucking cartoon. He may be tough, but I can't take him seriously -- can you? I'm all about showmanship, but gimme a break; the reason his persona is consistantly replicated in such a fashion is because he's an exaggeration to begin with. His incomprehensible thought process is nearly Walken in nature -- and he sounds like Dr. Claw with a sore throat. Maybe I don't like him because he represents the goofy fucking hyperbole that non-fans use to mock the industry, but if that's the case, so be it. He wasn't a slacker and he did his fair share, but he's also a fucking rubber chicken.

I want to vote for Eddie but I cant.

Macho Man was a main eventer for a much longer period and had incredible fueds with many top players for nearly 2 decades. Whether flair, warrior, hogan, steamboat, DDP, he had great matches.

I actually think that Eddies death hurts him in this situation, if he were still alive he would be a multi-time champion and would have had many more fueds with todays top guys.

Well, a lot of wrestling was cartoony and over the top at the time.

Of course, the fact that he really didn't change with the times might diminish that, but still.

Yeah cause non fans NEVER bring up wrestler's drug problems or anything like that when talking down about wrestling, which obviously Eddie is a prime poster boy for..

He still is a big fucking dude. I can take him seriously, "dig it?"

Porcupine 03-24-2008 12:47 PM

Perhaps I'm indecisive, but Ive though for a while and I cant pick one over the other so I'm going with Draw again.

Afterlife 03-24-2008 01:32 PM

Wow, quoted thrice in a row. A new record.

Yes, Wrestling does get over the top now and then, you're absolutely right. But, showme one time when he wasn't an exaggeration of a normal person. It's just the way he is.

And yes, he's still a bigt, strong man. And no, unlike Savage, himself, I'm not one to walk up to anybobdy, regardless of their level of ability to kick my ass, and instigate a physical confrontation.

As for this? Way to miss the boat, Jack.

Anybody Thrilla 03-24-2008 06:17 PM

How old are the lot of you? You don't remember the freakin' Macho Man?

Destor 03-25-2008 06:28 AM

With 24 hours to go I gotta say I don't see this changing much. If anyone want me to "close" this and move on to the next round say so. If enough people say so them I'll do it.

Afterlife 03-25-2008 08:41 AM

Feel free.

Destor 03-25-2008 08:43 AM

well that's one.

Londoner 03-25-2008 09:19 AM

Yeh might aswell close it.

BigDaddyCool 03-25-2008 09:38 AM

Give the win to Macho Man.
