Just watched the match again, and I noticed something else. Kudos to "Oliver John." He sold all of Sheamus's offense perfectly. The crowd even popped for him momentarily when he had the (brief) flurry.

Actually, I noticed this too. I was surprised by how over Sheamus got as a heel in a short amount of time. I don't know whether to chalk this up to Sheamus doing well, Oliver John doing well, both doing well, or what -- but the heat was definitely there (for jobber match standards, anyway).

When The Miz debuted, they tried to push him as a face. It didn't work, because they were trying way too hard, gave him shitty catchphrases (or maybe he did do that himself), and the fans hated it. Then he was pushed as a heel, and people like you were like "He's still a face!" when that was obviously not the case. By this stage, the levels of annoying were put on and played up for heat.

You've never been able to follow The Miz's early career, so don't even try now.

I want to see what Yoshi tatsu can do in the ring. His theme is pretty sweet

Apparently he and Shelton work about a ten minute match on ECW this week, that got the fans quite into both men. Sounds worth checking out. :y:
