Actually, if I may be a stickler as well, to be technical... The undisputed title was a unification of the WWE AND The World Heavyweight Championship. It was its own unique title because if you will remember back to RAW in 2002, Eric Bischoff brought back the old world heavyweight title and handed it to Triple H and thus there were two classified World Championships again and it was no longer known as a unified wwe title. It the WWE Title and The world title separately.

I think it is different. Its kind of a gray area here, but it was a different title, and called a different name. I think rock vs. brock at summerslam '02 for the undisputed title should stand and be allowed with separate wwe and world title bouts on the all time summerslam card.

thedamndest 08-12-2009 04:50 PM

Listen here, stickler: the Undisputed title was the WWF/E championship and the WCW championship, not the WHC. Best get your facts straight before you go off stickling.

CWK 08-12-2009 05:20 PM

I think that is a double standard. Its ok to considered the WWF/E title one in the same...... but the WCW title and the World title are completely different in your view, even though its the exact same physical belt and the only reason why its called the world title is because Vince McMahon went on RAW the night after Survivor Series 2001 and said "uhhh we are calling this belt the world title now"

It was called the WCW title and the world title after Vince bought WCW. I think I have a valid point for stickling.

#1-norm-fan 08-12-2009 05:23 PM

Different lineage.

CWK 08-12-2009 05:25 PM

and you should get your facts straight as well my friend because The "WCW" title became known as "The World Title" the night after Survivor Series 2001, and the undisputed championship moniker was not used until a month later when Chris Jericho beat stone cold steve austin and the rock on the same night to become the Undisputed champion thus making it a combo of the WWF title and the World title. not the wwf title and the wcw title as you claim.

I think you should refrain from any further posts challenging my knowledge. I can out think the fink, BROTHER!!!!

Ol Dirty Dastard 08-12-2009 05:59 PM

WWF Championship

Kurt Angle vs. Stone Cold Steve Austin from 2001

IC Championship from 1992

Bret Hart vs. Davey Boy Smith

Huneter Hearst Helmsley vs. Shawn Michaels streetfight 2002

Tag Team Championship
Dudleyz vs. E and C vs. Hardyz TLC summerslam 2000

I can't really think of anythin else really.

Yes, it's okay that the WWF/E are one and the same because they are one and the same.

The WCW/World title still had the lineage of the WCW belt regardless of what they called it. They just called it the World Title on TV because in kayfabe WWF defeated WCW. Without WCW, there was no reason to call it the WCW World Title, but it didn't lose the lineage.

The WHC is something completely different. It resembles the WCW Championship, but it has been WWE-ified. It has lineage dating back to when Bischoff gave it to HHH. Good luck in your quest to out think the Fink.

CWK 08-12-2009 06:34 PM

I appreciate your response, but you did say that the undisputed title was a combo of the wwf title and wcw title. All I was trying to do was make a point that it was actually a combo of the wwf title and world title.... different name LOL thats all man. Good little debate though

XL 08-12-2009 07:51 PM

As thedamndest says, the lineage of the current WHC starts with Bisch handing the title to HHH on Raw - thus it is considered not only seperate to the WCW/World Title but also completely seperate to the Undisputed Championship.

Once again - putting semantics to one side - you cannot have a WWF Title/WWE Undisputed Title/WWE Title combo on your card.

Anybody Thrilla 08-12-2009 07:55 PM

You make it sound like there will be dire consequences.

XL 08-12-2009 07:56 PM

There may well be, AT. There may well be!

thedamndest 08-12-2009 07:57 PM

XL, I have been meaning to mention that you have Jeff Hardy in two matches on your card. Please fix this at once.

thedamndest 08-12-2009 07:58 PM

Or there will be dire consequences.

Anybody Thrilla 08-12-2009 07:59 PM

That reminds me, I gotta go feed Gizmo before midnight.

Of course I do!

I switched that RVD/Hardy match in after I saw it on someone else's card. Replaced it with my original choice of Morrison v Punk at 2005.

Phew. Avoided those Dire Consequences!!

Anybody Thrilla 08-12-2009 08:10 PM

Barely.

XL 08-20-2009 07:45 AM

Thought I'd give this a little bump, see if we can't get a few more cards posted.
