So let's discuss who we think beats Jerishow for the Tag Team Titles and why? And also does anyone think the titles should stay unified or should WWE go back to Brand Respective Tag Titles and why?

My guess is Edge & Christian at some point.

lol Juan, calm down man. Its just people discussing opinions on the best way forward. You seem to take this shit to personally. What do you want exactly? For us to praise wwe all the time?

Yes that is exactly what I want.

I really like that they've held the belts for so long. I say keep it that way till mania, then have a big tlc with DX v. Legacy v. Edge and Christian v. Jerishow
The MITB is different enough I suppose, but I guess if they are too similiar they could have that match at Royal Rumble or ELIMINATION CHAMBER or whatever.

Regardless, I think too many times nowadays titles don't get the 'push' or credibility they need simply because they get passed around so frequently. But the way the WWE has shortened are collective attention span we get antsy and complain about people holding titles too long. I wish that some team or person, not necessarily this team, but perhaps if Jerishow does split maybe Jericho could continually hold them for several teams or just at least another to make it be sort of a milestone in his career. But what i really want to see is someone hold a title for longer than a year again, maybe not a world title, maybe Regal as the ECW champion. Or Danielson as US or whatever.

Did someone say Duggan and Super Crazy? What????? :wtf:

Does anyone not get the point that I put out in earlier in the month in the early WM predictions forum....Edge is out and Edge is out INDEFINATELY...he has been on numerous talk radio wrestling programs, done interview for wrestling mags, and interet wrestling webcasts and told people time and time again....that he has no potential progress that points to a after the first of the year return. Edge is out at least another 10-12 months at a minimum...He stated in one interview that his doctors have told him that even though his rehab is progressing, they are not inclined to give him a anticpiated return date and that he needs to contemplate possibly that he may not return to wrestling.

His interview that he did on SD right after it happened was not a worked shoot...He was telling the truth when he said he didn't know when and if he would come back and that his doctors have told him that they cannot recall any athlete ever coming back from an injury of this sorts.

Face it anything with E and C connection, Edge vs Jericho or Edge period for Mania or early 2010 is all bets off.

DAMN iNATOR 11-09-2009 09:49 PM

John Cena was supposed to be out for over a year after his last legit injury and he returned by Rumble time. If Vince and Edge both want it bad enough, Edge WILL be back by the Rumble in order to start feuding with Jericho leading up to WM 26.

Edge is already in therapy and rehab, getting back up to 100%. I see no reason why he will not be ready for a Royal Rumble return. And let's not forget, J.R. has said on his blog that he's noted the above fact himself after a recent phone conversation with Edge.

If they weren't building what seems to be a good feud with Orton, I would say Kofi and Bourne.

I'd love seeing their two high flying styles and I could see some comical promos come from it.

Phenomenal 1 11-11-2009 10:30 PM

I still can't see or get into Kofi vs Orton...Kofi just doesn't seem to have been built well enought to be over to work as a solidified main eventer with Orton. Yes he has been Intercontinental and United States Champion....but it seems as if WWE Creative through this together very quickly and rather poorly in my opinion, just giving Orton something to do until the Royal Rumble. I am starting to smell and regretting it if I am correct that I could see Randy Orton repeating as winner of the Royal Rumble to be in the main event at Mania.

I don't know anything about the injury Edge has, so maybe that is correct, but as someone else pointed out, John Cena and the WWE sort of worked the fans into thinking Cena was going to be out much longer than he was. Maybe the Rumble is a stretch, but only Edge really knows where Edge is right now. If/when he gets better, he gets better.

After reading the SmackDown! spoilers:

Kane saved The Undertaker from a JeriShow beat-down. I don't understand the purpose behind this -- unless they either turn the Triple Threat for the World Heavyweight Title into a Fatal 4-Way, or have The Brothers of Destruction re-unite for another run.

If Kane & The Undertaker get back together, they seem like a logical choice to be the next Unified WWE Tag Team Champions, and show up on whatever show they want, Chokeslamming the shit out of whoever. It'd be more star power for RAW, and it could be considered a thank you run to both Taker and Kane. If The Undertaker is still World Heavyweight Champion while this is going on, he'll essentially have three championship belts. I can't remember the last time someone in the WWE has ever done that -- if they ever have. That could be a good boost to Taker's legacy.

It'd also give Taker something else to do immediately, if they decided to take the World Heavyweight Title off him. Chris Jericho as World Heavyweight Champion, for example, is not something I would complain about.

Phenomenal 1 11-12-2009 12:38 AM

I don't think I can recall WWF or WWE during any tenior of the company having someone with all three of the major belts.....the only thing close to it that I can remember in recent times was not even WWE and it was Lance Storm in WCW and Kurt Angle in TNA.

Phenomenal 1 11-12-2009 12:40 AM

the closest I can remember is Shawn Michaels as WWF Champion and European Champion and Kurt Angle as the Euro-Continental Champion (Eurpopean Champion and IC Champion at the same time).

Supreme Olajuwon 11-12-2009 12:52 AM

Closest thing I can think of in WWE is the Two Man Power Trip holding the World, IC, and Tag Titles all at once.

Phenomenal 1 11-12-2009 01:18 AM

Supreme is right....thats closest WWE has ever done...they have never had a Triple Crown champion who has held the belts all at the same time.

Mr. Nerfect 11-12-2009 08:55 AM

Yeah, I was thinking that. I mean, Ultimo Dragon had a ton of belts when he showed up in WCW, Lance Storm did well for himself in WCW, and Kurt Angle and Samoa Joe had that horrible angle where they were feuding for even the World Tag Team Titles by themselves. But the closest the WWE has ever really done with one man is two title belts.

Although The Undertaker would only hold two technical championships; having three WWE belts on him at one time would be a first.

Yeah, although (even though it's not being discussed, I feel the point needs to be made) there have been quite a few double champs who were WHC or WWE Champ + one of the tag belts, or the IC or US title...Benoit & Edge spring to mind from 2004.

The Jayman 11-12-2009 10:20 AM

wasn't Batista WHC during one of his and Rey's tag title run

I'd love to see a returning D-Lo Brown and Mark Henry team up as faces on RAW. Play off their history in the Nation of Domination together. They could also wear similar attire like Henry and MVP do now, with red singlets and black kneepads and boots. Imagine Henry tagging D-Lo in and delivering the World's Strongest Slam to one of their opponents before D-Lo comes off the top and connects with a Lo Down for the win. Also, don't forget to use D-Lo's theme for their entrance. Little nod to the Attitude Era, and they could easily get over with the crowd, both new and old fans.

MVP could be a singles star again and really should be too.

el bobbo 11-15-2009 10:31 PM

It seems like they are combining two main-eventers whenever possible, Kane/Undertaker, Jerishow, DX... so they can go against each other and "invade" different shows.

It makes a lot of sense because you get the star power on Monday and Friday night on two different networks. Almost makes me feel sorry for Hart's, Cryme Tyme, and whatever the fuck Carlito is doing these days.
