Heros Welcome 02-10-2010 02:25 PM

I threw there name into the mix since I just read a rumor with them possibly jumping in if they decide to cut Osi loose.

Ermaximus 02-10-2010 02:25 PM

Patriots, most definately.

Heros Welcome 02-10-2010 02:30 PM

I really hope its Atlanta. And I'm trying not to be a homer here, but I think they really can land him.

Playing in a dome, opposite Abraham, having Babs and Jerry in the middle, makes what was the weak point of the defense, now a strong point. Also gets to face the panthers 2 times a year.

Blank has got the money for sure. I understand the philosophy that Dimitroff and crew have taken in wanting to build through the draft and not tying themselves down financially with big FA contracts, but based on what the team has now if you add Peppers to the bunch + this years draft clas you bring in, you make the team elite.

McLegend 02-10-2010 05:11 PM

Eagles might actually be interested in Peppers.

FearedSanctity 02-10-2010 05:26 PM

Broncos apparently talking with the Eagles about McNabb

Reavant 02-10-2010 05:38 PM

peppers to st louis along with the first pick of sue in the draft

Big Fat Mike 02-10-2010 09:29 PM

So glad Clayton thinks that McNabb is going to end up a Viking. One more year without another Super Bowl in Minnesota, either way.

McLegend 02-10-2010 09:44 PM

McNabb isn't going anywhere. I'm 90% sure.

stuff

Reavant 02-11-2010 01:42 AM

i laughed for about five minutes because of that.....

anyway since sammyg doesnt know that the rams have the first pick and the best guy in the draft is the defensive end from nebraska, suh, they will probably be picking him and if they do, it would make sense for the rams to pick up peppers to mentor/play on the other side of the line from him.

SammyG 02-11-2010 03:03 AM

Uh. I do know we have the 1 pick, and I know we're getting NKMADOHUH DFHSUGHRE SUH. I just don't think we're gonna make a push to get Peppers.

Jesus Shuttlesworth 02-11-2010 03:03 AM

Peppers is gonna be looking for too much money, don't see him going to the Patriots.

Gonzo 02-11-2010 03:25 AM

Dude got $16 million this past year, and was slated to make $20 million next season.

Good luck finding a team that is willing to pay that. Oakland? It will be his 9th year next season, and to be honest his best days are probably behind him. Coincidence that he is looking for a long term deal? Nah, he is just looking for a retirement deal. If I were an NFL GM, no way in hell would I pay this guy for a long term deal.

OssMan 02-11-2010 03:52 AM

Dallas will sign him.

Shadow 02-11-2010 04:27 AM

Not if Snyder gets there first.

Big Fat Mike 02-11-2010 10:48 AM

That's going to be one interesting pissing contest between Jones and Snyder.

Ermaximus 02-11-2010 11:47 AM

I swear if the Jags blow their pick on someone stupid....

Reavant 02-11-2010 11:53 AM

like tebow?

Dawkins got that much pull in the locker room already? I'm surprised.

Honestly, I hope not. I'm a huge Gator fan, but Tebow is NOT the answer.

Wow what a bunch of tools.

Big Fat Mike 02-11-2010 01:12 PM

I mean, it's was probably alot of Favre's doing that the Vikes even got that far to begin with, but it was also his fault that Ryan Longwell didn't have a chance to end the NFC championship in regulation. Fucking awful throw across his body to the middle of the field when he could have just lowered his head one more time and got some yardage. Fuck, why would these people want a 41 year old with a history of making bad decisions in huge spots?

Rumors fly that Broncos are available for purchase

Posted by Mike Florio on February 11, 2010 8:38 AM ET
The fact that the Rams have found a buyer reminded me of a rumor that snaked its way through the grapevine last week.

There's talk that the Denver Broncos could be available to be purchased from current owner Pat Bowlen.

And there's a connection between the Rams and the Broncos. If Shahid Khan will be buying not only the 60 percent of the Rams currently held by Chip Rosenbloom and Lucia Rodriguez but also the 40 percent owned by Stan Kroenke, Kroenke could couple the cash he gets from Shahid with a chunk of his wife's Wal-Mart money and purchase the Broncos.

Kroenke already owns the NHL's Colorado Avalanche and the NBA's Denver Nuggets. He reportedly was interested in acquiring controlling interest in the Rams, but the league's cross-ownership rules require teams in multiple leagues to be located in the same market.

We need to be clear on this one. We're not saying that the Broncos are for sale; we're saying that there's a rumor they're for sale. And we're speculating that Kroenke could be interested, especially if he's cashing out his chips in St. Louis.

You're being a hater, bro.

Los Angeles Broncos

Ermaximus 02-11-2010 03:45 PM

Dude, if LA gets a team, it'll be an expansion team. Everyone hears rumors about their team moving to LA. They keep saying that the Jags will move there too, but I don't see it happening unless Wayne Weaver passed away.

FearedSanctity 02-11-2010 07:45 PM

The most likely buyer for the Broncos would be Stan Kroenke, owner of the Avalanche and the Nuggets. He gets them, they aren't going anywhere. The NFL won't allow majority owners in the NFL with teams in other leagues outside of their market. Kroenke's market is Denver due to the Nuggs/Avs, which is why he can only be a minority owner of the Rams, he can only be a majority owner in Denver and wouldn't be able to move them if he wanted to. Doubt the NFL would let him regardless, even if it were to LA

Crimson 02-11-2010 08:34 PM

I think the only way L.A gets a team is if one moves in. How would it work with a 33 team league:wtf:

Giants release Antonio Pierce

Everybody saw it coming...but damn, it's a shame how sharp his decline was. I'd love to see him back in a coaching role someday.

VonErichLives 02-11-2010 10:45 PM

Does LT have anything left in the tank? Wouldn't mind seeing him in a Pats uniform if he does...

It has been widely speculated that Nebraska defensive standout, Ndamukong Suh, would become the first player taken in the 2010 NFL Draft. Not so fast.

The latest reports are saying the St. Louis Rams are waiting to complete a full medical evaluation on Oklahoma quarterback Sam Bradford. Bradford missed most of this season with a shoulder injury and if he clears all the tests without complications, the Rams will take a long look at the former Heisman Trophy winner.

Tom Kowalski of MLive.com has said that he spoke to two “well-informed folks” while he was in Miami for the Super Bowl and they indicated that Bradford would top the Rams draft board if his shoulder checks out okay.

St. Louis is looking for a long-term answer at the quarterback position and Bradford could be their answer. Marc Bulger is currently the teams starter and his skills have visibly decline throughout the last few injury filled years of his career.

The NFC West is very weak at quarterback — especially after the retirement of Cardinals QB Kurt Warner. In a quarterback driven league, the thinking around the Rams organization is that Bradford could be the franchise signal-caller that will take the team to the next level.

It would be shocking to see Ndamukong Suh slide down to the number two spot or lower, but Detroit Lions fans would be rejoicing.

SammyG 02-12-2010 12:09 AM

EXCELLENT

Big Fat Mike 02-12-2010 12:37 AM

Calling it now, Pierce is going to end up in St. Louis

Big Fat Mike 02-12-2010 12:37 AM

He would probably follow spags off a cliff for the league minimum

Gonzo 02-12-2010 02:06 AM

I gotta say, Rams should definitely go line. I think teams have to build lines first. There will be QBs later. Build the lines, get a FA QB, then draft the QB last when you have other pieces in place.

SammyG 02-12-2010 03:09 AM

No. I never want to see Marc Bulger take another fucking snap. Bradford, come to us.
