Maryse is back. Very good. And she brought her valet Mike with her.

Supreme Olajuwon 11-29-2021 09:18 PM

Edge dropping an AEW reference and a John Morrison release reference in his promo.

PrettyGood segment

slik 11-29-2021 09:18 PM

I do not enjoy Matt Riddle, his character is basically an over-excited six year old. Miz/Maryse's new gear looks good.

Supreme Olajuwon 11-29-2021 09:18 PM

Street Profits v Alpha Academy could be a Wrestlemania worthy program. Let’s give it 7 minutes on Raw.

Supreme Olajuwon 11-29-2021 09:26 PM

Garbage match there

Waste of talent

slik 11-29-2021 09:26 PM

Absolutely not interested in a Miz vs. Edge programme. A Miz/Maryse vs. Edge/Beth programme is strangely more interesting.

XL 11-30-2021 04:38 AM

Although I do appreciate how hard Edge fart to came back.

XL 11-30-2021 04:42 AM

Looking forward to the first ever Tag Team Blindfold Match.

Surprised they haven't changed Lynch's name to McGregor at this point ffs. All these supposed writers and the best they can do is basically copy someone in mma.

Mr. Nerfect 11-30-2021 08:16 PM

I saw a picture of Carmella & Zelina with the Women’s Tag belts and my first thought was “Nikki might be getting a phone call.”

Mr. Nerfect 11-30-2021 08:18 PM

I haven’t seen that much Becky since she’s been back, but they are clearly just trying to make her a star. Her being a “heel” seems bonkers, but if the alternative (and this shouldn’t be the alternative) is to make her “I’m just happy to be back” Becky, then this is a value add to her. I really like the presentation of her. It feels “evolved.” I don’t think the plan will be to have her be a heel for long. She might lose the belt at Mania and then “turn” the very next night.

You've spent more time sharing your thoughts and opinions about a show you don't watch. Do you realize how illogical and absurd you come across? You lack self awareness.

They have been trying to turn Becky heel since 2018. It has not and is not working. Yes she can get boos, but that is just audience participation (or piped in boos). She is still as Manchild Tony Khan would say, "over AF".

@Noid

Gable lost in a tag match against the Street Profits, he took the fall.

drave 12-01-2021 09:25 AM

Can they just call her Becky McGregor at this point?

It's like someone in the back just caught up to watching his past 5 years of interactions with the general public and thought "Becky has a similar accent, let's do this!".

Lock Jaw 12-01-2021 11:10 AM

I know nothing of Connor McGregor so I just see Becky being entertaining and good in her role.

Lock Jaw 12-01-2021 11:11 AM

I'm sure I would be enjoying her a lot if I actually watched the show.

drave 12-01-2021 11:39 AM

It's painfully obvious. She has to keep her shit talk "PG".... but still. Everything is a direct rip off McGregor.

XL 12-01-2021 11:43 AM

I would heavily suggest that it’s Becky’s idea.

Not obvious to those of us who don't care/know how McGregor acts..... even if it is a rip off, why should I care if she is being entertaining

Evil Vito 12-01-2021 11:51 AM

Wrestling is built on plagiarism.

Fignuts 12-01-2021 12:07 PM

Does McGregor have a patent on being Irish and cocky?

Big Vic 12-01-2021 12:41 PM

Not yet, the patent is pending.

Destor 12-01-2021 01:01 PM

its not like this is new. Billy Graham, Jesse Ventura and to a lesser extent Hulk Hogan are all knock offs of Muhammad Ali to varying degrees

Destor 12-01-2021 01:02 PM

if thats the perception of how a skilled fighter handles themselves culturally then it makes perfect sense to carry that into wrestling. infact its smart.

drave 12-01-2021 01:32 PM

I guess it was more of "seen it already" that made me yawn.

Destor 12-01-2021 01:40 PM

nothings new. least of all in wrestling. theres only 7 stories after all.

Supreme Olajuwon 12-01-2021 02:30 PM

I mean didn’t McGregor base his own persona off of wrestling? He’s basically doing what Ric Flair and the Rock were doing during their prime heel runs but with an Irish accent.

It’s fine.

Mr. Nerfect 12-01-2021 02:57 PM

She’s acting like a star.

xrodmuc316 12-01-2021 04:23 PM

Forget McGreggor, her and Seth wearing the most over the too stuff is the best gimmick going today!

xrodmuc316 12-06-2021 10:59 PM

Big Time Becks!

GD 12-07-2021 12:06 AM

Guys, I just skimmed through the results on TPWW.net and I think it is fair to say that Monday Night RAW blew anything AEW has ever presented out of the water. I can't wait for Chad Gable and Otiz to simultaneously hold the WWE title.

DAMN iNATOR 12-07-2021 03:00 AM

Legit felt bad for Nikki tonight, not only losing her match, but then being asked by King backstage if she wanted his autograph - I don't blame her for walking away, poor girl. Maybe she'll rebound next week.

Evil Vito 12-07-2021 10:53 AM

Saw Liv Morgan was trending and am surprised at how many people are mad that she didn’t win the title.

Don’t really see why anybody would think Becky is dropping the title before Mania.

The pacing thing with the entrances is really one of the dumber things they do. Having a wrestler start their entrance and then cut promos and commercials. It feels so awkward on tv, I can’t imagine how bad it looks live with the wrestler just standing in the rind for 5 minutes waiting for the promos to end.

screech 12-21-2021 07:55 AM

On Smackdown last week, the Viking Raiders made their entrance before it cut to commercial. Came back to a Natalya promo and I think another promo before Jinder and what's-his-name made their entrance. Then there was another commercial before the match started.

Did Erik and Ivar stand in the ring thumping their chests going "RAID! RAID! RAID!" that whole time?

This is pretty shitty for sure. Doubly so when the 30 second-looped entrance themes started (looking at you CFO$).

House shows can be fun tho, get talent interacting more with the live crowd and being responsive. Fink was the greatest. Very humble dude. Used to holler "FINK IS THE MAAAAAAAAN!" all the time. 100% of the time the dude would interact with that.

There was one house show where I recall seeing Kane (like, the 1st mask-covering-voicebox-busted Kane) do the People's Elbow, only to be followed up by Pall Bearer doing the same thing to The Rock. Fun stuff.

Evil Vito 12-21-2021 09:48 AM

They've done the whole "entrance and then segment" thing for ages, even before it was at the level it is now.

The wrestler usually just fucks around chatting with the referee and ring announcer because they all have nothing to do but wait.

Mr. Nerfect 12-21-2021 12:54 PM

Hahaha, WWE are killing themselves by focusing on presenting themselves for social media and YouTube. They are ignoring their greatest fans when they should be GRATEFUL that they are keeping them alive.

holy shit they are giving us Lesnar/Lashley at Rumble. I'm sold on that event just for that and the rumble match itself.

Sepholio 01-03-2022 11:00 PM

I'll say this. I didn't like Big E losing his title so soon. But damn if this means we get Lesnar/Lashley and I'm guessing Lesnar/Reigns at Mania, possibly title vs title then who cares. Works way better like this.

Sepholio 01-03-2022 11:04 PM

Damn....so Lesnar is gonna confront Reigns on SD this Friday. Reigns was on there last week, but out for Day 1 so obviously he tested positive on Saturday sometime. They are going to have him back out there 6 days after testing pos. This makes me wonder if it was faked (or as they'll claim if it is, a "false positive") even more now.

Rammsteinmad 01-04-2022 07:30 AM

I can see Heyman screwing Lesnar just to prolong the fued with Reigns until Wrestlemania.

Kinda cool to see Lashley and Lesnar finally. I bet it's a total squash though and Lesnar destroys Lashley.

This is still my prediction even though logically, there's no reason why Roman should want anything to do with Lesnar. Nor should Heyman (assuming he's still working for Roman).

Lesnar winning a belt on the other show was the perfect outcome for Roman. It creates separation between them. The last thing Roman should want to do is provoke Lesnar into coming back after him to seek revenge. There isn't a believable motivation for why he'd want to do that, other than stupidity.

I think a fake Covid thing is very unlikely. They don’t even like to acknowledge it really. And they’re publicly traded. Getting a dude with a potentially compromised immune system to fake a potentially fatal illness is just…horrible.

Reigns got it. He’s doing fine. Tough customer. Is coming back to not fuck up Mania season. They’ve just got unpredictable creative for a program that could have run into roadblocks if fans knew every beat (even if it was good). And that’s probably Heyman. The man deserves a medal. And they should really let him be involved in more things, if not the whole show.

Whole show Heyman gets to pandering. He wants to push the Buddy Murphy and the Cedric Alexander. He wants to get over with his booking. But if you can give him just the right amount he wants to get over…gold.

I thought for sure it would be Saudi. I’ll admit I was wrong. They might do something hectic like a title change and then a title change back, or a no contest that sees them both in the Rumble to really hype the Saudi match. Or the Saudi show is off.

Mr. Nerfect 01-04-2022 08:49 AM

Maybe Lashley wins at the Rumble. Not with Roman interference. He just does (maybe not cleanly, but his own shit). Brock wins the Rumble, he challenges Reigns, but he also gets a rematch with Lashley. Why? Because Heyman did his contract special. Isn’t that why he’s a free agent?

Brock and Roman for all the marbles, Lashley and Big E in a grudge that gets a tiny bit of a rub from Lashley actually getting it done against Lesnar. It enhances both matches, even if the WWE Title changes around a bit.

I always thought Lashley would win the first Lesnar match. My thinking is that Brock is just the bigger star. Plus, I think USA wants black stars. Sorry, but representation is real. Lash “gets more” from beating Brock. Ugh, but it gives Brock silly hiccups.

I don’t know. I’m thinking no contest.

Last Friday was a recap show, Roman wasnt there.

I guess the most obvious thing to do if Roman doesn’t have complications and can come back is maybe to have Lashley beat Lesnar and Big E win the Rumble. That feels a bit underwhelming though. Lashley as champion to drop to Big E was a leading possibility though.
