Did kinda look like over the back to though.

Again not sure.

SammyG 05-26-2009 11:26 PM

Yeah, prolly a good no call. Howard destroyed Varejao right there with this dunk.

COME ON ORLANDO FUCK PEANUT AND KRISPY

SammyG 05-26-2009 11:28 PM

Wow, feeding Howard like mad here.

McLegend 05-26-2009 11:30 PM

Lebron is choking in this game.

SammyG 05-26-2009 11:36 PM

Come on Dwight. Sink these.

SammyG 05-26-2009 11:38 PM

4 point game... Keep choking Bron

McLegend 05-26-2009 11:40 PM

Smart play by Lebron actually. No call though.

McLegend 05-26-2009 11:40 PM

Good no call

SammyG 05-26-2009 11:44 PM

Is LeBron serious with that three.

SammyG 05-26-2009 11:45 PM

RASHARD DAMNIT

McLegend 05-26-2009 11:46 PM

3-1 is a hard hole to climb out of.

SammyG 05-26-2009 11:46 PM

MAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGIC SHOWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW

Juan 05-26-2009 11:46 PM

Fuck you Lebron!

Dragon 05-26-2009 11:47 PM

Almost thought that last shot by Lebron was going in.

Innovator 05-26-2009 11:48 PM

There goes Lebron staying in Cleveland

SammyG 05-26-2009 11:49 PM

I am thinking this Cleveland team is good enough to fight outta this hole, but it won't happen, I don't think.

Orlando-Lakers finals.

SammyG 05-26-2009 11:51 PM

My boy Peanut..

Now that Cleveland is gonna get eliminated I am gonna cheer for Orlando..

Me and Rafer Alston used to ball together and smoke blunts, that's why I'm going for Orlando..

Fuck the Lakers..

Juan 05-26-2009 11:55 PM

Lebron is having the same problem Kobe had a few years ago. He's basically playing 5 against 1 out there.

McLegend 05-26-2009 11:56 PM

Now see this is interesting. Every time the Magic have had to eliminate someone They have done it, and showed no mercy while doing it too. Destroyed both the Sixers and the Celtics.

Now though every time they have had pressure on themselves they lose. Now the pressure is fully on them.

Also though Cleveland could easily be swept now or even be up 3-1. I think Cleveland can do it.

Jesus Shuttlesworth 05-27-2009 12:12 AM

Pretty crazy to think that this series could be over with a Magic sweep if LeBron missed that shot in game 2 or the Cavs could be up 3-1 if Mo Williams hit that shot in game 1/LeBron hit that shot tonight. Granted they both would have been ridiculous shots but still.

SammyG 05-27-2009 12:14 AM

lol Mo Williams getting interviewed after guarenteeing a win in game 4. Looks mad embarassed.

Jesus Shuttlesworth 05-27-2009 12:18 AM

I thought he guaranteed making the Finals?

HeartBreakMan2k 05-27-2009 12:53 AM

Very happy with the way this Orlando-Cleveland series is going. I actually picked Orlando in two out of three of my pools (had Boston in the third) so I'm looking to make some money. Plus I'd love to see Skip with a NBA ring.

Loose Cannon 05-27-2009 12:57 AM

yea, he guaranteed a series win.

Lebron kind of showed a lot of his youngness tonight. He missed some clutch free throws, he forced up a lot of awkward shots and he even kicked it out a couple of times when he had good looks.

Williams and West played better tonight, but still, not good enough. Most of the CAVS points were in the paint and that should not be there game. The Magic have some tremendous shooters and good bench presence.

how much did you bet?

Jesus Shuttlesworth 05-27-2009 01:16 AM

LeBron still looked real confident after the game, Mo Williams on the other hand did not.

The Gold Standard 05-27-2009 11:54 AM

I love Dwight Howard

SammyG 05-27-2009 02:52 PM

COME ON D-WIGHT, GET SOME REBOUNDS

Jesus Shuttlesworth 05-27-2009 03:20 PM

I don't get why LeBron needs to leave Cleveland for a "big market." He's going to get a max contract no matter where he goes and he is already like the most marketable player in the NBA. With the TV & Internet you don't need to be in a big market to be a "star"

Still though he should come to Boston when Ray Allen is off the books in 2010...................................................

SammyG 05-27-2009 03:53 PM

lol, Bron KG Pierce. Fuck that.

Testicle 05-27-2009 03:58 PM

I doubt he would end up in Boston, more likely in New York for the Nets.

SammyG 05-27-2009 04:14 PM

.... you mean Jersey.

Jesus Shuttlesworth 05-27-2009 04:35 PM

Nets are trying to move to Brooklyn, running into some snags right now but I think it'll happen eventually.

I don't think LeBron will come to Boston, that would be sick though. If I was him I wouldn't go to the Knicks, he would just set himself back with his championship hopes. They would be like a 6th seed. I could see him going to the Bulls to play with Derrick Rose or some other team that already has a young nucleus of good players.

Savio 05-27-2009 04:42 PM

If the nuggets win tonight I will be SO HAPPY

Juan 05-27-2009 05:13 PM

If the Cleveland Lebrons come back and win the series, get ready to hear about it 24/7 on ESPN for about 2 weeks.

SammyG 05-27-2009 05:50 PM

Must win tonight for both teams. Winner of this game is winning the series. Let's go LA.

Savio 05-27-2009 05:53 PM

Lets go Nuggets

How many Techs does Kobe have?

Juan 05-27-2009 06:08 PM

5

SammyG 05-27-2009 06:16 PM

FU Savior_Self

Jesus Shuttlesworth 05-27-2009 06:37 PM

I think the Lakers win tonight, Nuggets win game 6. Dunno what happens in game 7

SammyG 05-27-2009 06:45 PM

game 7 goes to LA, if it goes to it, which I think it will....

Road teams just can't win a game 7...

oh wait Orlando won .OH WELL. I don't think Kobe is gonna let LA lose this series.

That being said. I want Pau and Drew to get more touches today.

Savio 05-27-2009 08:55 PM

Any one know if Carmelo is still sick?

The Gold Standard 05-27-2009 09:03 PM

Melo is the man. I want to see Dwight v Melo in the finals.

Savio 05-27-2009 09:38 PM

Damn Melo, 1/5 tonight

Not to mention the Cavs will still be set up better to win an NBA title than the Knicks or Nets in 2011, unless the Knicks find a way to set up their cap situation in order to land both LeBron and Bosh in the same summer or something.

SammyG 05-27-2009 10:23 PM

So everyone here suckin the Nugget cock. awesome.

Anyway. Thank god for Sasha hitting that three.. gives us SOME momentum

Savio 05-27-2009 10:36 PM

I only like the nuggets cuz Carmelo went to Syracuse.

HeartBreakMan2k 05-27-2009 11:02 PM

Watching this game got me thinking. Fuck who your favorite team is, this year's playoffs have been what made me love fucking basketball. My enthusiasm never left, but that fire I had for it as a kid had been gone. This though, this years playoffs have been fucking drama. Tight games, and teams just playing it all out there. Awesome.

Same here...the past few years I've been pretty close to abandoning the NBA and haven't had a rooting interest in any team in particular. Larry Harris killed any love I had for the Bucks growing up, and I've taken a passing interest in the Knicks since I go to school on Long Island and they're always on so I try to catch a few games.

This postseason's been great...one of the craziest series I've ever seen in Chicago/Boston, Orlando making the leap from "good by Eastern Conference standards" to legit title contenders, the heavily favored Lakers having to fight through every series they've played in, Carmelo Anthony finally realizing that potential, LeBron's buzzer beater, etc. Best postseason I can remember since like 1998 when the Bulls and Pacers had that crazy seven game series in the East Finals.

I still don't have a real favorite team, but this has been incredible to watch as a fan of the game. First time in years that the NBA playoffs have rivaled the excitement of the NCAA tournament for me.

Jesus Shuttlesworth 05-28-2009 12:29 AM

Yeah the playoffs have been real good, lots of really good games.

Still think the Nuggs are gonna win game 6 then probably lose game 7. I hope not but for whatever reason the Nuggets play totally different home and away.

Kinda hope the Cavs come back and win the series against the Magic but I'd be happy if it still just went to 7 games. I don't want these playoffs to end...

SammyG 05-28-2009 12:32 AM

Shannon Brown's dunk on Birdman was fucking sweet.

For the last two years, the Knicks have been setting themselves up to get two of the free agents coming. They hired D'Antoni, Got that huge albatross of Marbury's salary off their books, dumped Randolph's contract, and pretty much have their Bench starting for them now. Lebron and Bosh/Stoudemire/Wade/ or whoever else is a free agent in 2011 will be major.

Loose Cannon 05-28-2009 10:15 AM

yea, it's been the story for a while that the Knicks' goal has been to get James in 2010. And that would be amazing.

Last night, the Lakers did exactly what the CAVS can not seem to do. Everyone contributed. I think Kobe had like 15 shots or something. When they double up Kobe, somebody is open, and when those guys can drain thier shots, you can't stop that.

Oh and Kobe did something last night that really impressed me considering he did not take many shots in the game at this point and was wide open. During the end of the game, he was wide open for a 3, but opted to pass to ball inside to a wide open Lamar. To me, the younger Kobe does not do that. great play

Anonymous Nuggets player accuses Lakers of buying a win
May 28, 2009 · Filed Under Denver Nuggets, Los Angeles Lakers, News

The Denver Post (Mark Kiszla) reports after the Lakers beat the Nuggets in Game 5: In an accusation that goes straight to the heart of the sport’s integrity, one member of the Nuggets shook his head in disgust after the game, and could not believe how cheap it was for Los Angeles to buy a 3-2 lead in the Western Conference finals. “The Lakers paid $50,000 to win that game. They got their money’s worth,” said a Denver player, not wanting to be identified for fear of retribution from the league. Was the outcome rigged? I refuse to believe it was. The 16 field-goal attempts the Nuggets missed during the fourth quarter had much more to do with the defeat than any of the 30 personal fouls called against Denver by the referees.

Gotta be Kenyon Martin

Exactly

Jesus Shuttlesworth 05-28-2009 06:13 PM

Really don't think a NBA ref would risk their job for 50,000

Loose Cannon 05-28-2009 08:40 PM

I doubt whomever said that meant it seriously. kind of just seems like the reporter spun it in a way to make his report more interesting.

HeartBreakMan2k 05-28-2009 08:51 PM

Good grief look what Cleveland is doing to start

The Knicks have set their cap up where they can sign 2 guys to max contracts in 2010. Which means they can sign LeBron and another superstar that year.

yea, I know. something about these playoffs, even before Chicago/Boston really drew me in. Tell you what, TNT did a fantastic job with thier 40 Nights Marketing commercials. That definately hooked me. but there's been so much drama throughout this whole thing.

Juan 05-28-2009 10:05 PM

Yeah, I think TNT def has the best coverage

Juan 05-28-2009 10:05 PM

I love Doug Collins

SammyG 05-29-2009 12:20 AM

WE WERE ALL WITNESSES ONE LAST TIME.

k, Orlando wins next game. Please.

Honestly, I think LA matches up better with Cleveland. Orlando causes us problems. but if Orlando makes it..... Home court Advantage goes to LA

Jesus Shuttlesworth 05-29-2009 02:49 AM

Knew the Cavs where gonna blow that end in the 1st quarter. LeBron played out of his mind at the end, great game.

Loose Cannon 05-29-2009 09:57 AM

I wish he would go to the basket a little bit more. He loves to take that step back jumper, which was pretty on late last night. But every time he goes to the basket, he gets a call.

Williams was finally on last night. thank god. yea, I knew that lead would evaoprate by the 2nd half.

I want the Cavs to win. I have to admit, I am a Lebron fan. I really never like star players, unless they are on my teams, but Lebron is awesome.

SammyG 05-29-2009 03:40 PM

I think game 6 is gonna be epic. Double, triple overtime.

The Cavs one.

SammyG 05-30-2009 01:34 AM

Fignuts 05-30-2009 02:16 AM

FUCK

Really wanted to go to an NBA Finals game.

Jesus Shuttlesworth 05-30-2009 02:23 AM

SammyG 05-30-2009 03:02 AM

YO HOLLA MIGHT BE GOING TO GAME 1

Krimzon7 05-30-2009 09:30 AM

Lebron would score 100 points before he goes out like that. My money is down. Sammy that Retards pic is fucking classic.

RP 05-30-2009 09:31 AM

The best part of the Denver vs LA series was when Smith hit that 3 at the end of the 3rd quarter and punked Sasha out.

Loose Cannon 05-30-2009 12:56 PM

LA matches up a lot better with the CAVS. CAVS have a terrible inside presence (well not terrible, but pretty bad against bigger teams) and the Lakers have a good inside presence.

Loose Cannon 05-30-2009 12:57 PM

I want the CAVS to win, but I don't want to Lakers to win and I don't see the Cavs beaitng LA. Orlando has a better chance imo
