Well I was clearly wrong :p

Good episode, but man I am going to HATE the wait till season 4 now.

SlickyTrickyDamon 06-10-2013 12:20 AM

TARGARYEN MOSH PIT!

Really wish I could have gone to that Pub trivia. Probably would have lost because the names are all a jumble in my head.

Lock Jaw 06-10-2013 01:49 AM

Good episode. Some real "feel good" hopeful stuff for the final scene to make up for the torment of episode 9.

XL 06-10-2013 06:04 PM

Where can I watch this online? 1channel seems to be stuck on episode 9 :(

El Fangel 06-10-2013 10:59 PM

Just wondering, where is everyone show and book wise.

Lock Jaw 06-10-2013 11:01 PM

Done three seasons and four books

XL 06-11-2013 01:16 PM

Finished Season 3/reading Book 1.

Innovator 06-11-2013 01:22 PM

Finished season 3, reading book 5

The Destroyer 06-11-2013 01:25 PM

Finished season 3 and book 2.

Blitz 06-11-2013 01:33 PM

Read/watched everything.

VSG 06-11-2013 01:45 PM

^ ditto

Lock Jaw 06-11-2013 01:46 PM

I'm waiting for the mass market paperback edition of the fifth book to come out in October, because otherwise it doesn't fit with the rest of the collection.

Oh, well I can say that the 5th starts off my favorite out of all of them.

Sweet summer child, cherish these days.

Page 699 is going to be one amazing scene in the show. You will know it when you see it.

I am not sure what I can say to you. Book 4 is a lot slower read than the other three I found, as there were a lot of chapters for someone I didn't care for very much.

A Dance With Dragons
SPOILER: show
What do you think about Jon Snow? Any guesses? Warged into Ghost? Not actually mortally wounded?

VSG 06-11-2013 01:55 PM

SPOILER: show
Too many theories out there about it.

Miotch 06-11-2013 02:07 PM

SPOILER: show
He's got the red haired woman basically right there, so I imagine it'll be something like Dondarrion. Maybe he was also able to go into Ghost before he died, but ultimately he'll be back in his own body.

SPOILER: show
Yup. I have a feeling Melisandre is going to bring him back to life. It's something I didn't really consider before the shows. Her and Thoros' interaction made me think about it.

El Fangel 06-11-2013 02:14 PM

SPOILER: show
Personally, I think he could take a dagger. I mean he DID he shot and rode to Castle Black with an arrow stuck through him.

Lock Jaw 06-11-2013 02:39 PM

Yeah, not clicking on any of those.

SPOILER: show
That never happened in the books though. She may have no fucking clue about how to resurrect someone- something she seemed shocked that Thoros could do on the TV show.

XL 06-11-2013 03:02 PM

I intend to read the books after the events happen on screen. Which means I better make myself scarce around here.

El Capitano Gatisto 06-11-2013 03:26 PM

I've read all the books and watched all the show. Regarding Jon Snow up to book 5
SPOILER: show
he better not actually be dead. It'd be a massive letdown if he was, a dead end of a storyline. His mysterious origins need to be discovered.
.

SPOILER: show
Who Brienne? Cersei? Shit in Dorne?

Not if people put things in spoiler tags and label appropiately.

I agree however you kinda just gave away that he is alive until then.

No I didn't. I just mentioned book 5 so that people who hadn't read everything wouldn't click on it.

ADWD Spoiler
SPOILER: show
I'm pretty sold on the theory of him being the son of Rhaeger Targaryen and Lyanna Stark and the third head of the dragon. So I see Melisandre bringing him back to life

AFFC and ADWD
SPOILER: show
I found Brienne's pointless wanderings through the Riverlands to be so long and uneventful. That entire sub plot could have been shortened to one chapter of her meeting Lady Stoneheart. The show will definitely combine both books in my opinion. No way they'll do a whole season without Daenerys, Tyrion or Jon

Oh most definitely, I wouldn't bother watching otherwise.

NLO85 06-12-2013 10:03 AM

Now that the Red Wedding is over what scenes are fans of the books really looking forward to?

SPOILER: show
Joffrey's wedding; the duel of Oberyn Martell & Gregor Clegane; that scene in the colliseum in Meereen & Lysa Arryn getting tossed from the moon door are all going to be great for me

Innovator 06-12-2013 10:17 AM

Now that I'm caught up bookwise
SPOILER: show

-All things Red Viper
-Joffrey's Wedding and the pending trial
-Tyrion and Tywin's scene
-Jaime continuing his redemption tour
-Lady Stoneheart's reveal
-Bran/three eyed crow
-COLDHANDS DAMMIT
-The penance walk-Jon Snow as Lord Commander, getting stabbed, possibly resurrected as Azor Ahai

Reading a series of posts that say SPOILER: SHOW isn't as interesting as you might think.

It's my choice to go TV show > then book/my cross to bear.

Lock Jaw 06-12-2013 06:11 PM

I mean, there IS a thread for the books, if people really wanted: http://www.tpwwforums.com/showthread.php?t=114107

SlickyTrickyDamon 06-12-2013 06:28 PM

Bumped that thread for added visibility. Might start book 5 if I can get a hold of the audiobook. Don't really want to wait for the mass market paperback that I have for the first four, but don't want to pay out the ass for the big book.

Lock Jaw 06-12-2013 06:57 PM

I just want it to fit the collection. I CAN'T HAVE FOUR BOOKS BE ONE SIZE, AND THEN THE FIFTH ANOTHER!

That's just madness!

Lock Jaw 06-12-2013 07:02 PM

Maybe I will try to find an e-book. I hate reading on a computer screen, though.

Miotch 06-12-2013 07:57 PM

I love reading on the ipad, especially at night in bed.

El Fangel 06-13-2013 08:55 PM

What you guys think of having two seperate threads? One for book and one for show? That was we can sort of help alleviate possible spoilers.

I am terribly worried I will spoil one of you and I don't want that.

Miotch 06-13-2013 09:02 PM

There is one for the book and one for the show.

But show talk often references the books, so I will just spoiler tag anything spoiler-y

El Fangel 06-14-2013 07:57 AM

Made that post without seeing references to other thread. Got a book rwcommended by Martin.
