Honestly the getting roasted for it until the next dynamite will be the worst thing that happens to AEW because of the whole debacle. It’s the pro wrestling business ffs, it’s not like fans haven’t accepted this as part of the deal every now and then.

Wonder if that was supposed to be the last we see of Moxley though. Because if so, they need to change that.

I was never a fan of the match for many reasons but overhyped and undersell was always a concern for me.

The more I think about the Christian thing the happier I am. Outside of Brock, Batista, Cena (no one actualy thought that did they??) or Punk I dont think theres a bigger get out there.

Hes HOF worthy, can still wrestle, former champion etc. Its a good get of a guy who by all accounts who will probably add backstage as well. While it didnt meet the hype generated by those other names people speculated on its still a fair piece of excitement they created without a bait and switch to burn the goodwill.

I do kind of wish it was Punk... but im not sure he would be good for them either.

I saw my sister earlier today and was hyping the explosion to be a huge deal. I said they killed Jon Moxley on PPV. I just got a text from her saying “ Sparklers and a firecracker is not an explosion”. I dunno, made me laugh.

Tony Khan is already back on Twitter promising giant surprises. Holy shit, he cannot stop. He’s beating off a dead dog at this point.

AEW are also targeting the Twitter videos of people sharing the Xplosion. Other times they have done this are when Matt Hardy got concussed and they didn’t stop the match, and when Alex Reynolds got fucked up and they kept going.

This company is shit.

Yeah. They need to fucking step their game up and kill a wrestler on PPV and never once consider stopping the show. That’s how the big boys roll.

They knew from the beginning they would hit the 30 minute mark. How you do that and still get the dud of a turd is beyond me.


I always hated WCW pyro. This was worse.




Other than that, the PPV was a damn good time.

Some fan footage is starting to come out now showing the camera guys standing right next to the "explosions", so clearly it was not a detonation issue, because they wouldn't have been standing right there if it was meant to be bigger.

I think maybe they meant for all the sparklers and smoke bombs to go off at the same time, which would have been marginally better, but still they probably should have at least cut to those cameras that were right there so the whole shot would be filled with sparks and smoke.

It was just badly produced.

The point is that it lends to the theory that it was just badly produced, not that some of the pyro malfunctioned and it was really going to be bigger.

The sparklers going off first really killed it. You think explosion you think a big concussive boom. They had that but it seemed late.
