That was just a good play by Cromartie. Not a PI at all. I'll take it though.
The bad Eli has finally showed up this year. They aren't winning this game.
J. Cutler INT to lose the game guaranteed
Why will they never sneak it?
4th and about 2 inches...literally any other team in football would have just called a QB dive for an easy first. Fucking Giants.
Or a naked bootleg with Jay Cutler LOLBEARS
Holy shit a 6 yard run
The Rams are such a weird team. Consistently mediocre then they will murder top 5 teams.
Jesus fucking christ. The niners secondary today is incredible.
I try my hardest to defend Eli but yeah...this loss is 100% on him.
Oh my god. If Staley is out I will punch myself in the face.
How are the Giants still in this game?
The 49ers are going to lose this game by 1 point.
Love the somber Fox "got to commercial" theme when somebody gets injured.
3 straight predictable fades to the end zone. Fire McAdoo.
Oh my fucking god. Same route 3 times then a pick. Holy god. These games are stressing me out. That should be it though.
Chris Borland has looked like a fucking viking. |
God I miss having a run game
You just know if the Giants get the ball back, Eli is getting a 6th pick, doubling his INTs for the season in a single game. He always does that in garbage time.
Coughlin doesn't react to Eli picks anymore
I'm pretty sure Coughlin is going to be forced to pick between retirement or firing his coordinators this offseason.
Ah who am I kidding. They're not firing McAdoo after one season. |

Go The Detroit Lions

damn @ Packers
Brian Hoyer sucks. I was so.happy he almost got hurt
lol that punt return, one of the most absurd things I've ever seen. Almost as crazy as that TD the Texans got a couple years ago where the DB tried to swat the ball down on the hail mary
Damn lispy screwed us with that call
When things go bad for Sanchez they really go bad.
Good Lord |
Bad game for the Broncos from what I'm reading.
Hopefully Thomas and Sanders' injuries aren't too major. |
Why does British TV have a person doing sign language instead of just having closed captioning? Checked an NFL stream and before the game it had an episode of According to Jim.
Supposedly the NFL got raided by the DEA today with medical staffs from the 49ers and Bucs targeted as a surprise.
DEA's been suspicious for a while about some of the stuff teams have been handing out to help players with injuries or possible drug addictions. |
Wish the Rams were in the NFC South so they could go to the playoffs and inexplicably crush every great team in the league on their way to a championship.
:D Jonas Gray tonight
Here's hoping Jonas Gray is a one week wonder. He's already been claimed in the league where I have a seemingly now useless Shane Vereen.

:D Pats won. That first half was a nail bitter with how bad Brady was. Very impressed with how good the D's been the past couple of games.

11.7 in PPR leagues. It's not close to what Gray today did but its better than Gray did most of the season totals before today's snaps.
Rodgers should just take the rest of the regular season off. No competition these last few games.
"Relax"
Brian Hoyer Cleveland Browns suck again: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4nSEW8ycVdk
Id be really laughing at the Steelers shitting the bed a 2nd straight week if it didn't mean I was losing fantasy football.
Won my fantasy game this week by less than a point...thanks to the valiant effort of Le'Veon Bell.

Adrian Peterson officially suspended for the rest of the season without pay. Here are some excerpts from Roger Goodell's letter to Peterson:
In modifying the NFL Personal Conduct Policy August 28, Commissioner Goodell established a baseline discipline of a suspension without pay for six games for certain offenses, including a first offense of assault, battery, or domestic violence. He also identified aggravating circumstances that would warrant higher levels of discipline. In his letter, Commissioner Goodell identified several aggravating circumstances present in this case: “First, the injury was inflicted on a child who was only four years old. The difference in size and strength between you and the child is significant, and your actions clearly caused physical injury to the child. While an adult may have a number of options when confronted with abuse – to flee, to fight back, or to seek help from law enforcement – none of those options is realistically available to a four-year old child. Further, the injury inflicted on your son includes the emotional and psychological trauma to a young child who suffers criminal physical abuse at the hands of his father. Second, the repetitive use of a switch in this instance is the functional equivalent of a weapon, particularly in the hands of someone with the strength of an accomplished professional athlete. Third, you have shown no meaningful remorse for your conduct. When indicted, you acknowledged what you did but said that you would not ‘eliminate whooping my kids’ and defended your conduct in numerous published text messages to the child’s mother. You also said that you felt ‘very confident with my actions because I know my intent.’ These comments raise the serious concern that you do not fully appreciate the seriousness of your conduct, or even worse, that you may feel free to engage in similar conduct in the future.” "The well-being of your children is of paramount concern,” Goodell wrote. “In the absence of speaking to you to understand your current disposition toward child discipline, we cannot be sure that this conduct will not be repeated. Moreover, we are unaware of any effort on your part to acknowledge the seriousness of your conduct and your responsibility to demonstrate a genuine commitment to change. “In order to assess your progress going forward, I will establish periodic reviews, the first of which will be on or about April 15, 2015. At that time, I will meet with you and your representatives and the NFLPA to review the extent to which you have complied with your program of counseling and therapy and both made and lived up to an affirmative commitment to change such that this conduct will not occur again. A failure to cooperate and follow your plan will result in a lengthier suspension without pay.” Finally, Goodell noted that any further violation by Peterson could result in "banishment from the NFL." “It is imperative that you to avoid any incident of this kind in the future,” Goodell wrote. “Any further violation of the Personal Conduct Policy will result in additional discipline and may subject you to banishment from the NFL.” |
I'm pretty torn on this. I don't think physically disciplining children is the worst thing a human being could do ever. I know that I am supposed to be outraged but I'm not. Although, 4 is pretty god damned young.
Theres a line the size of the Great Wall of China, length wise, between spanking your child and hitting them repeatedly with a switch
Eh. When I grew up that was just kinda normal in my extended family. I'm just never going to feel offended by it. My cousins frequently got the belt and I got the belt once or twice. We were much older and more prepared for such though. 4 is way young.
bROWNS SUCKS
I think it really hurt him, AP, that he skipped his meeting with the NFL.
What did Ben Tate say to get cut from the Browns?
LeGarrette Blount walked off the field early before last night's game was over. Pittsburgh told him to don't bother coming back and released him.
Colts debunked possible rumors of them signing Ray Rice once he's eligible. Rumors were fueled by the Colts need for a new RB and former NFL connections Chuck Pagano had with Rice.

SPOILER: show If that doesn't offend you, you're kind of a shitty human being. |
Naw. It's just hard to have a conversation without people massaging their own egos and doing the "wow, you think that? I don't because I'm great" routine. Congrats, you're average. I grew up with it. Not a big deal to me.
That kind is pretty young though. Not something I would do or condone. |
It's just odd to me that your personal experience with it makes you not feel like it's wrong in general. Is it really just a matter of "It happened to me so I can't see a problem with it"?
It's not that I am "pro beating children," I just recognize that it is a common practice in many parts of the country and people that employ these tactics usually do it for strictly disciplinary purposes and do not intend to harm the child. Is it a great way to go about things? No, probably not. But I don't fault him for thinking that way because that was how he was how he experienced life. Would I employ the same tactics? No. But I don't put my hand over my mouth and audibly gasp when somebody gets the belt. Get real. I've been there.
Not something I'm fond of, but I get it. |

Jason Avant has been cut by the Panthers too. I think it was for stuff he said like Blount. |
Tate has been pretty vocal about his lack of touches in recent weeks as well

Still haven't seen an explanation of why Blount left the field early. Just a lot of reports that he did and now he's released.
Seems to be hinted about his growing frustrations over the lack of carries and playing time that finally got to the point he had that outburst.
Steelers weren't expecting Le'Veon Bell to be as great as he's been this season so he took over as their main RB this season. One of the big reasons Blount left the Pats was to get more playing time. |

So supposedly the Jets are going to play the Bills in Buffalo on Sunday despite an ungodly amount of snow in upstate New York
http://deadspin.com/the-bills-are-pl...1660728462/all and the Bills are looking to pay people and give them tickets to the game to shovel out Ralph Wilson Stadium http://thevane.gawker.com/the-bills-...not-1660740473 |

http://www.foxsports.com/nfl/story/l...%3Afscom%3Afox It's OK he went to a better team anyways. |
Shrewd move by the Pats. They let Blount go to the Steelers and get a pick from the deal, then just re-sign him back when he gets cut.

$10/hours and tickets? I'd be out there in a heartbeat. |
Not playing in Buffalo anymore..potentially in DC or NJ..doesn't seem fair to give the jets another home game.

Detroit will host. Jesus. That might be awesome.

Is there another Chiefs/Raiders game on that I'm not watching, cause the one I'm watching looks like the Chiefs said "fuck this" right around the time they gave up the 90 yard touchdown and decided to sleepwalk through the rest of the game.
If the Raiders were better this would be even more lopsided than 14-3 |
Raiders will throw a pick-6 to tie the game.
Was there really a 90-yard rushing touchdown in this game

Alex Smith man.

So Derek Carr is the new Tebow.

The one time this season I put faith in the Chiefs (faith = financial backing) and they fucking fuck me. Fuck you Kansas City.
I hope you don't put too much 'faith' in the Lions this week :D
I never bet on the Lions if I can help it, enough EMOTIONAL TRAUMA going on that I don't need to add any more
The NFL is so fucking absurd. Lynch fined $100,000 for not speaking to the media after last week's game.
Let that sink in. I know "oh, they're millionaires ah ha ha ha that's peanuts to them" blah blah blah shut up you're stupid $100,000 fine for not speaking to the media. That's fucking ridiculous. Like I know it's in their contracts I guess to talk to media, but it really shouldn't be. That's an absurd amount of money for something that is far and away such a trivial part of anything. |
NBA does that too. Dumb
I can't wrap my brain around this. If it was like a $5,000 fine, then sure I could see that. But $100,000?!?! So stupid. So incredibly stupid. Words are escaping me (clearly)
Pretty dumb. Should have just stood there and answer their stupid questions like a smart ass like Bill does.
Both teams played hard
Ray lewis finally got on twitter and one of his first tweets was to a fake Joe Flacco account..lol

Legal sports betting still only allowed in 4 states after a judge ruled against New Jersey and their new sports betting law. Even with the tweaks done to limit legal betting, it wasn't enough for a judge to rule in favor of the state.
Also likely going to lose the appeal as well since the courts hinted the only way legal sports betting can be expanded is if the federal law itself gets tweaked. http://espn.go.com/chalk/story/_/id/...ing-new-jersey |
How is it legal in 4 states when its been deemed illegal by the Federal Government?
Those 4 states were exempted when the federal law was passed in the early 90s.

No. Weed is illegal in the United States. What the states sign doesn't mean shit if the Feds decide to raid.
