Seeing the Knicks as legitimate competition again would be incredible IMO.

Juan 05-14-2010 03:10 AM

Agreed

Nark Order 05-14-2010 03:16 AM

Read an article just a second ago and the Knicks would probably look to pick up Chris Bosh along with LeBron. That would be a GREAT start.

alvarado52 05-14-2010 04:04 AM

the Knick pretty much HAVE to get someone first to entice James to sign...otherwise, he's either staying or going to play with Rose in Chicago.

Juan 05-14-2010 04:08 AM

I think Chicago is the least likely scenario

Dragon 05-14-2010 04:38 AM

Yeah, Knicks have room for two of the big name guys. They only have 4 or 5 players actually signed for next year.

Dragon 05-14-2010 05:08 AM

Also heard Chicago a lot as a favorite to land LeBron and I can't really picture that. Maybe I'm wrong and LeBron is up for the challenge of living up to Jordan's legacy but I can't imagine it.

Not really. All Lebron has to do is say I want so and so on the team, let me talk to him and the Knicks will say "Here take this contract with you"

Curry, Chandler, Gallinari, and Douglas I think.

Loose Cannon 05-14-2010 10:06 AM

They have the wrong Curry :(

Innovator 05-14-2010 10:16 AM

If I was Donnie Walsh I'd have Chris Bosh locked up at 12:01am on July 1st

Pippen was overrated, Jordan made a good player look great, I mean look at Scotties career without Jordan.

And as a Raptors fan, I'd say thank you, and hope we get Lee in a Sign and Trade, cause Bosh wants max money with max years. And to me, after watching him play for 6 years, I'd say he isn't worth it.

OssMan 05-14-2010 01:50 PM

James LeBron

Innovator 05-14-2010 02:42 PM

Well, Browns gone

Innovator 05-14-2010 02:50 PM

Now they're refuting the story, saying he's being evaluated

Evil Vito 05-14-2010 03:47 PM

<font color=goldenrod>"Evaluation process" = calling LeBron and checking to see if keeping Brown is a necessity for LeBron to stay</font>

McLegend 05-14-2010 06:28 PM

Wow how quickly everyone forgets how Kobe couldn't win a playoff series before he got Pau Gasol.

Amazing.

Also this is just a prediction but I can see Mike Brown being your next Coach of the Philadelphia 76ers.

Nark Order 05-14-2010 06:44 PM

Kobe has always had more to work with than LeBron. There was a short time after Shaq left where Kobe was carrying the team on his back, and it definitely showed because Lakeshow started going downhill. As great as Kobe is, he's ALWAYS had solid back-up.

You could throw LeBron onto ANY team and that team would be instant playoff contenders. I don't think the same is true for Kobe.

McLegend 05-14-2010 07:10 PM

Rumor has it that Delonte West was banging Lebron's Mom, and Lebron found out sometime after game 4.

Greatest rumor ever? I think so.

Pippen was All NBA first team and was 3rd in MVP voting after Jordan left.

Pfft, I could do that if Phil Jackson was my coach too.

Somehow I doubt that fact.

NO ONE CAN WIN A TITLE ALONE.

Yeah exactly, so why are killing Lebron when even your boy Kobe couldn't do it alone?

Juan 05-14-2010 10:02 PM

Who's killing Lebron?

McLegend 05-14-2010 10:46 PM

Seems like Alvarado and you have been kind of banging on him a little right now.

Juan 05-14-2010 10:55 PM

I believe you may have misinterpreted what I was saying. Only time I chimed in was when Narc said Lebron could win no titles and still be the greatest basketball player to ever live. Sorry, but I just had to disagree with that.

Juan 05-14-2010 10:59 PM

And no, I don't think Kobe is the greatest basketball player to ever live

OssMan 05-15-2010 01:01 PM

Yeah, wouldn't be able to win any playoff series with guys from France and Slovenia on the team.

Jeritron 05-15-2010 10:25 PM

I feel good about the Celtics. The way they're working Rondo in has been incredible. They're in a system now where they don't stand a very good chance of losing if two of their big 4 are on.
The Magic are on fire so that will be tough

Jeritron 05-15-2010 10:26 PM

Roxer, what if it's a Suns-Celts finals?

RoXer 05-15-2010 10:43 PM

That's what I'm hoping for.

owenbrown 05-15-2010 11:27 PM

you know what? I am sick and tired of reading sports headlines online and getting to the comments part and every time there's a story about an Arizona sports team it turns into a political argument. Leave politics out of my sports watching, dammit!

SammyG 05-16-2010 03:24 AM

Kobe>you

Juan 05-16-2010 05:20 PM

lol Orlando

Jeritron 05-16-2010 05:38 PM

lol van gundy

Juan 05-16-2010 06:06 PM

wow Vince Carter having to carry this team on his back. Not a good sign for Orlando

Jesus Shuttlesworth 05-16-2010 08:30 PM

Dwight Howard is lame as hell. He is like a huge child, I can't stand his stupid goofball attitude. With his size & athletic ability he should be dominating offensively. He doesn't though, when he does get a lot of points its when other people are creating the offense for him.

Juan 05-16-2010 08:32 PM

Yeah, that halftime interview was lame as hell.

alvarado52 05-16-2010 11:41 PM

as bad as Orlando played, i'd say they can feel good that they only lost by 4 points. There is no way Orlando plays like that the entire series.

Also, Big Baby's flopping and falling on the ground every game is annoying.

Jesus Shuttlesworth 05-16-2010 11:46 PM

That fat kid in the front row flopped when he got trucked by Glen Davis last year. Pretty sure he was in the front row again today

Magic coming back worries me but at the same time at least the Celtics didn't blow the lead completely and lose the game. Getting 1 win in Orlando is HUGE, if they came back to Boston down 0-2 there was no way in my mind they would win this series.

alvarado52 05-17-2010 07:57 PM

Tonight. It's On.

Jesus Shuttlesworth 05-17-2010 08:22 PM

I think the Lakers are going to win the series pretty easily, 4-1 or 4-2. As much as I don't want it to happen, I just don't see it with the Suns.

DaveWadding 05-17-2010 10:09 PM

lol Vujacic. Fouling on a 3 with 0.6 seconds left in the 1st half.

RoXer 05-17-2010 10:54 PM

4-14 from 3

RoXer 05-17-2010 10:55 PM

Channing Frye 1-6 not including where he stepped out just now. Which he also missed.

alvarado52 05-17-2010 10:59 PM

Live by 'em die by 'em. A Magic/Sun NBA finals would just be one loooong three point shooting contest.

alvarado52 05-17-2010 11:03 PM

whack, lol....Lamar just got bitch slapped.

alvarado52 05-17-2010 11:12 PM

well, 1st in the NBA in three percentage v. 1st in three defense. Defense wins this battle.

McLegend 05-17-2010 11:34 PM

Someone should just injure Lamar Odom. He's the key to everything.

DaveWadding 05-17-2010 11:35 PM

And here's Sammy G to crown the Lakers NBA Champs.

love how he grabs Dudley's jersey there when he spins him around. :y:

Juan 05-18-2010 03:57 AM

Me too. Pure greatness

DaveWadding 05-18-2010 04:06 AM

like, I'd even give props on that shit, but he grabs the jersey AFTER he has Dudley beat on the spin. What's the point other than "I'm Mamba and I can get away with anything?"

Juan 05-18-2010 04:13 AM

Yup

alvarado52 05-18-2010 04:13 AM

i think he was just pissing on the jersey, as to say 'get this shit off me son, im 'bout to work your whole organization.'

I think.

Juan 05-18-2010 04:13 AM

He'll probably get away with a few travels in games 2 and 3 too

Juan 05-18-2010 04:15 AM

It's beautiful really. Kobe has all the skills in the world but he takes the time to grab some bench scrub's jersey to prove how great he is.

alvarado52 05-18-2010 04:18 AM

its really kind of him, yknow? To go out of his way to bless a bench warmer with his touch.

Juan 05-18-2010 04:20 AM

I bet he scores 10 points in the next game instead of 5 because of it.

alvarado52 05-18-2010 04:22 AM

hundreds of years from now, that jersey will still have the imprint of Kobe's hand, much like the sheet that was placed over Christ's body.

SammyG 05-18-2010 04:31 AM

How has no one mentioned Shannon's almost huge throwdown. Holy shit, he basically jumped over Richardson. Also lol @ Wadding. Tell me how my ass taste.

alvarado52 05-18-2010 04:38 AM

i just read online that they immediately sent that jersey back to Phoenix, hoping that the dna left on the fabric is enough to clone their own Kobe Bryant.

Also, that would have been the greatest dunk in playoff history...perhaps even NBA history

Lakers-C's is gonna be pretty ridiculous. Still scared of Boston.

What's all this that John Wall is a point guard?

I mean he is a point guard, but he can def be a starting 2 guard in the NBA. He's Dwayne Wade like. A backcourt of Jrue Holliday and John Wall can easily work for a very long time.

McLegend 05-18-2010 07:38 PM

Also The Nets new owner is hilarious.

definitely. They keep pegging wall as a 1 when he can effectively play the 2 without much problem, adjustment wise. I would actually go as far as to say he would be better at the 2, and have a more immediate impact.

McLegend 05-18-2010 07:46 PM

Yeah I agree... He's like the aforementioned D-Wade or even Allen Iverson.

Evil Vito 05-18-2010 08:35 PM

<font color=goldenrod>Guess that scratches the Nets off of LeBron's "Maybe" list. He may have been tempted with Wall there but not now.</font>

Droford 05-18-2010 08:51 PM

Well lets hope that the Wizards dont screw up like they did when they took Kwame Brown #1 a couple of years ago.

Though I guess to be fair, the 2001 draft class was horrible.

Pau Gasol, Jason Richardson, Joe Johnson and Tony Parker went in the 1st and the 2nd round was full of a bunch of guys that aren't even playing anymore..not Counting Arenas.

McLegend 05-18-2010 08:52 PM

So happy for Evan Turner. Can play multiple postions, and played well in big games.

Backcourt of Holliday and Turner is badass.

Crimson 05-18-2010 09:24 PM

Yea I remember when Seattle got the 2nd pick, I was stoked. At the same time everyone was saying Oden would be the best..then Durant. Turner might be better than Wall.

McLegend 05-18-2010 10:58 PM

The Celtics are playing really well.

Really hard to beat.

alvarado52 05-18-2010 11:09 PM

i'd say they are playing much more composed than the Magic. It always sems the Magic are frantically trying to score, and the Celt's are running their offense.

Emperor Smeat 05-18-2010 11:33 PM

Magic really have issues making free throws when needed (not counting missed on purpose to get extra shots). It basically killed their chances during the NBA Finals against the Lakers last year.

McLegend 05-18-2010 11:47 PM

Bad move by JJ Reddick.

Jesus Shuttlesworth 05-18-2010 11:54 PM
