He could barely lift himself off the mat. I'm a huge vader fan, but the guy shouldn't be anywhere near the title right now. If he continues to drop weight and get in better shape then MAYBE, but for now he should just be a special attraction.

That is a worse idea, the guy is 57 and was getting winded he should not be in the title scene at all. Let him just have his last match.

So to make a better main event, you would put a hoss against a slow overweight hoss?

I would put Shaemus against another guy in his prime, but hey what do I know?

Also, the main event is irrelevant, because the world heavyweight title hasn't main evented a ppv in a long time, and Vader wouldn't change that.

Sheamus was never in the main event, nor did I suggest a match between him and Vader should be. My point was it couldn't be much worse than the match between Cena and Laurinaitis, which main evented a pay-per-view last month. If anything, Punk/Bryan/Kane should be the main event at No Way Out, with Show/Cena and Sheamus/Vader on the undercard.

Fignuts 06-13-2012 11:53 AM

Ok.

A lot of things would be better than last month's main event. I don't see how that's relevant.

Mr. C 06-13-2012 01:50 PM

All I'm saying is Sheamus/Vader would be a better match than most of the crap currently offered on pay-per-view to us. Cena/Laurinaitis is an example.

I can list more examples.

Hanso Amore 06-13-2012 02:28 PM

If you think the idea of Big Johnny vs Cena had anything to do with being an actual match, then you are a fucking mutie as accused.

Vader/Sheamus MAY have been a better "Match". But it has no fucking story, no build, NO REASON FOR EXISTENCE.

Hanso Amore 06-13-2012 02:29 PM

Zack Gowen vs Sheamus would be better than Johnny/Cena, should that happen this month?

Hanso Amore 06-13-2012 02:29 PM

Old Barry Darsow vs Old Dustin Runnels in a 2012 version of the King of the Highway match would have been better.

DLVH84 06-13-2012 02:35 PM

Vader and Tensai

Fignuts 06-13-2012 02:36 PM

I am interested to hear what matches it would be better than.

as a main event, no it wouldn't. Not at all given the crowd investment and what they were "getting over". And the "most of the current crap offered on PPV" is a ridiculous post.

However, Sheamus vs. an unannounced Vader in the WHC match on the PPV undercard for 6-8 minutes would have been fun and I'd rather have seen that/would have been a "better moment" than the match with Slater on RAW. That said, I'm not about to complain that Dolph is in a more prominent spot for the show.

Again, I never said that they should main event.

Sheamus vs. Vader in the match on the undercard for eight minutes would've been a better idea than using Ziggler. The majority of you will likely continue to disagree, as it seems to be the "cool Internet thing" to be in love with Ziggler.

There's no doubt if Johnny or Vince asked the crowd Monday night who they wanted to see Sheamus defend the title against at No Way Out, Vader would've definitely been cheered over Christian, Dolph, Great Khali, and Swagger.

Fignuts 06-13-2012 05:05 PM

You pick vader for No Way Out, you get a short match, that probably won't be very good, and won't really lead to anything, and will only serve as a spectacle.

You pick Ziggler, you get a 15-20 minute match which will in all likelyhood be anywhere from solid to great, and it could kick start a larger feud between the two, possibly cementing Ziggler as a main eventer.

But I'm sure I'm just trying to be "cool" by saying that.

you talk about "the cool internet thing to do" after making a post like "most of the current crap offered on PPV", which is right out of the smart mark "cry about WWE but watch RAW every week" book of posting. righttttt

Honestly, I haven't watched an episode of RAW since WrestleMania, but heard about Vader and now plan to watch at least up until the 1000th RAW, just to see who else might show up during the next several weeks. Other than that, the post that I mentioned "most of the current crap offered" is in fact why I've stopped.

CSL 06-13-2012 05:17 PM

so what are you a fan of in professional wrestling Mr. C? other than YES! and Kane and AJ, all of which have been RAW mainstays since WrestleMania

Mr. C 06-13-2012 05:30 PM

Making the script more realistic

CSL 06-13-2012 05:39 PM

you realize you're watching (sorry, not watching) professional wrestling right?

CSL 06-13-2012 05:42 PM

is a man running around shouting "YES!" at the top of his lungs to celebrate the most minor accomplishment a realistic portrayal of how a somewhat successful professional would behave?

Corporate CockSnogger 06-13-2012 05:50 PM

A realistic scripted fight.

I like running around shouting "YES!" at the top of my lungs to celebrate. What's so unrealistic about that?

What is realistic about an over the hill has been with tits bigger than any of the divas, legitimately vying for the Championship against Sheamus?

Fignuts 06-13-2012 05:57 PM

Seriously, it looks like he ate Jim Cornette.

way to completely ignore the context of the question by avoiding the "to celebrate the most minor accomplishment" part, fucking hell

so nevermind, you're quite clearly talking out of your arse

Beating a video game is a rather minor accomplishment, though. Doesn't mean that I don't go nuts when I beat said video game.

Corporate CockSnogger 06-13-2012 06:02 PM

I still want to know what would be a more realistic version of a scripted fight? Should every angle involve an ex-girlfriend or the wrestlers being rotten drunk? That's generally the main things that preceed a fight. Or are we talking about a realistic competition, in which case there would be no angles, like boxing.

Also, I wonder how crazy that must feel to be standing in the ring and glance up at the tron and seeing that at that very moment, something you were just talking about is the most talked about thing on social media around the world. Must be so bizarre.
